This is super helpful! When I hook up AD2 with my efnote 5, the kit sound from the efnote module still comes through on top of the kit sound from AD2, did i miss any step?
What DAW are you using? My initial thought is that you are using an audio track and not a midi/instrument track somehow? Also, how are you connecting the kit? The micro USB on the efnote module does actually carry both midi and audio so that could be the issue also.
It could also be that you are monitoring via your inter faces software? If your interface does have software you want to mute the monitoring. Or if your interface has one of those knobs that says “direct” or a a button that says direct. Make sure it is turned away from direct or direct is off. So you arent hearing the signal entering the interface.
@@Bearvswolf ha I'm new to this. I didn't use any DAW, just hooked the efnote module to a mac with AD2. I was able to go into the efnote module and turn the levels of the kit off; that seems to do the trick, but feel like i shouldn't have to do this if I'm doing things correctly.
@ first go to the 3 lines on the top right of the app and click audio midi setup. I assume you will just pick your computer as the output. Also lower the buffer size as much as you can for the least latency. I doubt that addictive drums is accepting the line signal. Its more likely your computer is. So i would go to system settings/sound and see what shows up. Then hit your drums and see if it registers. Go to input and see what is selected. Efnote module should be listed under input. Maybe just de select it. That way your computer wont see the line input. But the app can still see the midi.
I love it. No need for anything else really. I have two acoustic kits. This is purely for practice and getting recording ideas down. I may get the larger snare one day but i dont really need it. I plan to make a “5 things I like” type of video after owning it a year. Hopefully soon.
what kit are you on? I usually just pull up a TD-12 kit that maps well to the efnote. Ive had to re trigger the splash before but hi hat seems to work fine.
@@Bearvswolf Hi dude, I'm using an EFNote 3x. Having endless trouble getting hi-hat or chokes to work in GetGoodDrums inside Kontakt Player, or any other VST for that matter. Been really struggling here and spent hours trying all sorts of things!
Ah that sucks. Yea midi stuff is a pain. I am the least familar with get good drums. Typically if I pull up a popular kit it works about 90%. I think I recall Kontakt has a similar mapping system. I’ll take a look at it again and see if I can come up with any pointers for GGD specifically.
I love Addictive Drums - now I am getting an electronic drum kit from my nephew can’t wait

on the module , MENU/SETTINGS there is a parameter "local" that must be set to OFF
Super helpful!
Have you figured out how to get the Cymbal Choke to work at all?
Yes there is a tab in the midi editor. Check out the short I just posted.
How are you still liking your EFnote 5? Nobody on TH-cam has posted anything like a long term review.

Can you please share an export of your hi hat maps? It is the most frustrating experience ever and the documentation is insufficient for me.
