mines is a 2004 and the reasons why i like this type of bikes is because 1 looks from the past mixed with the present 2 it is rare to have and 3 it looks like a chopper motorcycle just to make people think it is a motorcycle
Ray Biscoe jr I agree ! They’re very fun to ride especially with the chopper look. Even people who don’t know a thing about bicycles look at you while riding one.
I was working at walmart assembling bikes when these were new. those rear brakes never did work that good, even when new. I did a product demonstration on one, and found the bike to be uncomfortable, heavy, and they handled poorly. no matter how much I adjusted the brakes, they would fade horribly, and often over heat. there was one that came through with a disc brake and a sturmey archer 3 speed hub. that made the bike like a whole lot better, but the handling was still not good.
@@abudhassan4945 if you can find one, buy one. I never owned one. I did own a west coast chopper, and tried like hell to get Huffy to do a recall on the rear wheel. not a good enough hub for that heavy of a bike.
i have one in chicago im going over there this week to restore it if it needs it can anyone tell me what to do also i am super lucky it was my cousins who gave it to me when i was 5 so 2011 i was way to small but now that im 11 i can actually ride it
@@dawheeliekid to tell you the truth it just depends on how well the bike is kept up and the chain tension is very important its hard to get just the right spot but it makes a huge difference

Never knew about occ bikes before this week. I would motorize it.
You got it for a good price. It's in a lot better shape than a lot of them that sat out in rain or live along the coast

I have one 75 bucks litteritly nothing wrong with it and bikers usually rev up at me I'm also a Ford guy to dont blame u

I'm from Brazil and I bought it for the exact same price in US Dollars. $150. It cost me a pretty penny but at least I'm happy with it!
