- Today's video Claudio and I discuss our technique throughout practice and the cues and feelings we have during our throw. hope you enjoy and maybe pick up something you can try in your own practice. see you in the next one.
Never thought I'd enjoy discus, but after watching your channel and Throw Uni, I've got slowly better.
Damn good to see you throwing again. I'm 72 and moved to Arizona when I retired last year so I can throw all year long. The struggle continues!
Thank you for making these videos I have made a huge improvement after doing so!
Great to see you throwing again. Can I ask what your competitive/distance goals are for 2023?
Don’t really have any right now. Just train when I have time and try to throw farther than I have before
One thing at a time 👍👍👍 Crazy how much stuff that is applicable in throwing is applicable elsewhere as well. And vice versa
Thanks Jordan & Claudio, this is awesome what a way for us to learn listening to you guys explain your evolving workout thoughts & actions!!
Great video Jordan, nice to see you back,. Claudio could be a voice actor with that deep voice
I like the aspects you're working on.😊
Great seeing you back 👍
Are you competing again anytime soon? I'd love to watch you!
need more videos like this
hi Jordan, do you think it is possible to throw from 40m (131 ft) to 54m (177 ft) in 7 months with a 1.75 kg discus? my strength and technique are not the best. Can you record the best exercises for strength and explosiveness. I'm glad you're back on youtube again
It’s possible but it’s dependent on your size, strength, work ethic, technique and ability so it’s a very hard question to answer with no reference.
Try do 65m with 2,5kg discus😊 Kristjan Čeh can teach you some things about it
We missed your throwing videos
Nice to see you back 😀🙂😊☺️
qué aporte , muchas gracias. Se ven muy bien los detalles. sólo que Claudio podría hacer uno en español.
Se entiende todo en ingles igual, jajaja
Great idea to put mics on your practice and allow us to hear what you are thinking. What are you using to record the session and do you always record practices? Thanks for bringing us along. Didn't realize Claudio had transferred, anything about the decision that you can share? Where are you guys throwing? Well done.
I love thee videos!!
are you and claudio still collegiate athletes? what year are you guys?
Jordan Young graduated from the University of Virginia in 2017. Claudio Romero was a freshman at University of Virginia in 2022 and transferred at the end of the year to Louisiana State University, where he will compete as a sophomore in the outdoor season.
I beat you in grade 7 ball throw, so theoretically I should be able to throw a discus at least 70+ m.
Lets goooo bro !!!
Viking here again, ask yourself why the shot put distance's on average have gone up dramatically in last few years and new worlds record s and PRs set??......
Omg.... I thought it was just me who spit! On my fingers though not disc lol 😅😅😅
I Mean. I'm sure ur better than me but csn we see where it lands
Are you planning to compete in the 2024 Olympics?
Depends how training goes but I’ve got a lot going on outside of throwing so will see
Weight of this discuss?
2kg
Jeez, that guy has a terrible leg sweep. He must be doing a lot of other things, right
