      Many victims were not paying too much attention at that time . I remember many people standing at the road holding signs with the name of the town they wanted to travel to , especially at the seventies . It was very easy for serial killers to offer a ride and to kidnap these poor victims . No one missed them for quite some time , so their cases went cold very quick .

      @@Here_Thisthis is why I tell my mom sure her times growing up seemed better but everything seems better when you blissfully living in ignorance/innocence and most crucially living in a time period where police stations across different counties & states includes weren't making any possible connections to crimes, their was no internet media like it is now and news stations also sharing media across to grt information out there..
      Sure my time period seems a tad crazy sure it is but I am extremely grateful to not be living in the 70's because I love having the type of media we have now which keeps us all well informed but I still live life meaning won't let the media make me paranoid but I do keep my eyes sharp though.

    A girl was kidnapped and killed by Ted Bundy out of a mall in Grand junction Colorado called Mesa Mall. Denise Lynn Oliverson, 24 (D.O.B. August 10, 1950) disappeared on April 5th, 1975 (according to The Original Police Bulletin/Missing Person Poster "Foul Play Suspected"). Other sources says she disappeared on April 6th. She left her Grand Junction, CO home on her yellow 10-speed bicycle to visit her parents for dinner. She allegedly left because she was having an argument with her husband, Joe. Unfortunately, she never reached the home of her parents. I guess, Bundy's beige/cream white VW Beetle came up behind her before she had the chance to reach her parents. He lured/abducted her into his little VW car, then strangled her and eventually dumped her in the Colorado River, five miles west of Grand Junction, near the Utah state line. She's never been found. Her poor mother died in 2017 (father much earlier) without ever knowing where her little girl ended up. Denise Oliverson's case was closed for good in August 2019.

      Ted Bundy lived in Salt Lake City, Utah in the early 1970’s before my time. Fashion Place mall is walking distance from my house now. It was opened before I was born. Ted bundy tried to kidnap a young lady Carol DaRonch on 11-04-1974. He said he was a police officer and handcuffed her and put her in his car and started driving in the parking lot to leave. Carol knew it was something wrong and was able to punch him and get out and run away. Carol is still alive today to tell her story.

    • @maxpayne7312
      @maxpayne7312 ปีที่แล้ว

      Considering how very little evidence there is there’s not much they can go on and whoever knew back then is probably already dead due to natural causes
      And they probably didn’t do a thorough of a job like they do now where like now they would use the shotgun pellets or casing see if they can get a finger print off of the casing, if that didn’t work find the cigar that was used to burn her and try to get some DNA off of that
      Even the car that was left in the mall sounds like they didn’t do a thorough investigation or check for tire marks of the other car and without cell phones/social media back then they don’t have any person of interest to look at and the person who took them got a head start so by the time cops came they were probably miles away in any direction and may have switched cars
      So we’ll never know what actually happened in any of these cases and by now the families are possibly dead or dying of old age or may have committed suicide
      When I write on these i don’t use emotions I just think rationally

    The lower level was not the main entrance. That “entrance “ u pointed out was added later. This was an open outdoor mall. It was not enclosed. I grew up in front of this mall. My parents had our house build before the mall was built. Sears’ main entrance was the upper level. The lower level was the receiving/package pick up area. The car /gas station was up on the hill of the shopping center. The correct name is The Seminary South Shopping Center.

      Seminary South was a big deal back in the day. A small lake had been drained to provide the land to build the mall on and it was THE place to shop. I was a teenager living on the south side of Ft Worth and walked past Rachel’s dad’s auto repair shop on my way to school every day. It wasn’t a good way to start the day.

    It really makes you wonder after all this time what happened to them and where they could be. Were they forced into human trafficking?Are their skeletal remains in some wooded area in Texas or another state?They are somewhere that maybe off a highway or isn't residentially or commercially developed yet after all this time but as my mom always said "Whatever is in darkness, must come to light" So maybe we will still learn the truth.
