Sooo I planted my garden beside a maple tree (the maple tree is on the west side) so by the heat of the day (around 3-4) my garden is shaded by that large maple tree but light is still able ti get through. I pray this works and that God guided my path. It was a total afterthought a brilliance in this Oklahoma heat. But I felt like God helped me out there🙏🏻 Keep praying and talking to God while out in your garden and no doubt God will bless it💕

I am so glad you covered this subject, I have been discussing with my children, how everything is blooming too soon. My peach trees literally bloomed at the end of Feb. Then we had freezes, so no peaches this year. I also live in east TN and am an older lady. This year has left me baffled with a greenhouse full of plants that I cannot put in the ground yet.

We have a few fruit trees in pots near the house and they already have fruits on them. I didn't think they would fruit for a couple years yet. Blackberries are starting to flower and strawberries already have small fruits. I think it's pretty early for south New Jersey. I've observed spring coming earlier, winter later and our last few summers have been very hot and dry.

I asked my husband if the irises bloomed in April last year. Didn't even realize that they'd come up around the house until they were full bloomed. Crazy! I did not plant any "early spring" seeds, except for beans, in the gardens. I have decided to go to hot weather seeds except in the high tunnel which is covered with 50% shade cloth on purpose. We put up cisterns last year. I pray we all have a great garden season.

Redbuds and Dogwoods have been bloomed for some time. Blackberries are getting ready to bust open into full bloom. I was telling my brother in law that we need to get our gardens out and he said no, we still have another three weeks of cold weather. I told him that is not what nature is showing. I hope that everyone's garden does well, as I keep this bad feeling that we are going to need everything we can grow and preserve. I have expanded where I can, and keep doing the things I can. This is in Eastern Kentucky.

My family has an irrevocable trust with quite a few full sections of wheat in Western KS - going to zero it out this year again. It’s daunting. My daddy kept the whole operation going so well for a long time. He passed 8 years ago. We left some losers in charge of managing it and I wish it were easy to go back and farm it myself. But there is nothing worth farming this year and I’ve got hay in the Ozarks to cut. And yes, people are becoming so weird out there. It is very soul sucking to go into town now. Stay prayed up! Keep doing the things, friends.

I’ve got tomatoes on the vine already, and peppers already growing. My potatoes are already flowering, and my corn is already 2 feet tall.
All of my garden is looking at me like, “What is THIS?”
It’s 20 degrees cooler than normal. Crazy.

Weird weather here in western PA. Warm last week not even out of the 40s today and had a little sleet. Almost every time I'm out shopping I hear people comments on how prices are up. Hint for people. Make sure when you park in your home garage you wait to unlock and get out of that car until you close the garage door AND check your surroundings. Someone could easily slip in behind you once door finishes opening and you get parked and press for the door to close.

It feels like May almost. Minnesota is still getting snow and below freezing at night. Still waiting for spring!😅
