Nuclear waste was supposed to be stored in Yucca mountain in Nevada. They were going to bore out the mountain and put the waste in chambers, then backfill with concrete. Hundreds of miles from any people and encased in a mountain. Democrat Harry Reid said, " Not in my backyard!". And stopped it. Nevada would have had billions of dollars to fund police schools etc. But there was a soap box to be had. Now they named McCarren international Airport after him. Yay. What a hero.
Amazingly, the nuclear waste is being packaged into Artillery shells destined for Ucaine to use against innocent civilians!

Several decades ago, contaminated soil was moved to a local airport for temporary storage. It has sat there ever since. Over time, wind has blown contaminated particles into the air and a local creek. That creek runs by the school. The school has since found contaminated soil in the schoolyard and in the air ducts within the school. The school has since been closed. The Department of Energy says it is the responsibility of the Army Corps of Engineers, the Corps has thrown it back on the Department. No ones hands are clean on this one.

Hawley is right. That waste has been tested and it was radio active. The government came in to test and found it safe. Numerous rare cancers are on the families close to the tarp covered waste dump. Like he said do something and clean it up or evacuate those families and individuals.

I am continually amazed at what gets raised up to the federal government. The city, county or state the school is located in should have asked the company storing waste to have it moved since it is against regulations.
It is being raised by Hawley because the school and local government have already tried, but they can't get anyone to acknowledge that it is their problem.
The waste was spilled into a creek from a plant used to make nuclear material for WW2, the Fed Gov is the culprit

At Joe Avery there was politics in the Bible and yes that is combined with our spiritual walk. We do not walk with our eyes closed. Spirituality is combined with alot of prayer, which is warfare against the enemy. So yes, my eyes are opened and I'm not okay with what's happening around me and do a lot of praying. We need to be aware of what is happening and prepare as much as we can. Evil is real and exists around us. We can not live with our heads in the sand. Ok where I agree nuclear material shouldn't be in proximity to schools period it isn't hard to figure out basic exposure rates. Just need some dosimeters placed around the school property and on the school building and in the school and take reading's boom you could then workout exposure rates. Also depending on the age of the school the lead paint on the walls may help shield them

I love Senator Hawley..but it seems so limited in terms of what can be done in this setting. However, MONEY talks...as soon as people know that their program will be defunded, they may have a bit of motivation to do their jobs.

Start with make a law, refusal to answer means as a government employee can be instantly dismissed, you are employed by the people, the politicians are employed to ask and receive answers, non answer is obstruction, make it a jailable offence. And huge fines by the day for the directors of these corporations so they do follow the law, and make the laws become viable to take effect for every day they held thier office, even if another party was in power, $10,000.00 daily seems a fair amount, and donated to veteran affairs so ex military can bring the acid rain as well, unless they work in a top secret facility
