As one who makes mostly bread and pizza doughs, I selected the Ank after watching many videos and reading a lot of reviews. My initial idea was to sell my KA mixer, which does not knead well, and find a spiral dough mixer. Unfortunately most are either too large, too expensive, single-speed only, or do not open/come apart for cleaning.
After using the Ank myself I have no regrets. The doughs produced show good gluten development from kneading in the Ank.

I absolutely love my Anka. Usually use it to make a single loaf (approx 1kg dough) but have made as much as 4kg of dough in one go (using the hook). It should be able to deal with 5kg without any problems.
Takes a little bit of getting used to.
