Because it’s not that impressive. Yes they can sing and they sing well. However, the guitarist literally held the guitar the whole time and didn’t play. The vocal mix had a ton of reverb and it was hard to pick out individual voices. If they were gonna do piano and bass then they should’ve brought the bass up in the mix and then made the piano player play something similar to guitar picking instead of chords. They also should’ve had someone play cajon at the very least. Precision is a big part of the song.
ChunkySquirrel33 it’s a cover and they were putting there own twist on it. If you have watched them before it is very easy to point out the voices without watching. This is one of the most impressive covers I have ever seen on this channel and just in general

I find it really satisfying the way Katherine enunciates the hard 'c' in 'core'. I absolutely love the emphasis especially right after the bridge of the song. Because of the emphasis on the hard 'c', 'core' is extended just a little bit more, it almost sounds like a two syllable word and I love that.

TruTomboy44 I think they change them to make it more appropriate for their younger viewers. And they are Catholics too to religion plays a big part in the lyric changes as well.

Hannah Chesnutt I think the word you are looking for is “live covers” a capella is singing without music. The cover with aly and aj was live but not a capella. But yes it has been awhile since they have done live covers but I think it is probably so the songs can be posted on like apple music and such.
