It took another 23 years after this until Australia beat the USA but the ground work laid by the Aussie guys in this in this game is the reason more and more Aussies play in the NBA and the reason the Boomers finally won in 2019.

You had to give the Aussies due credit. They were outclassed in every meaningful aspect of the game, but they didn't surrender to the superior squad. Trying to get physical with Sir Charles or the Mailman were huge mistakes.
