@@BermudaDrift my spot is in relatively shallow water , 60 ft deep. So 5 gallon bucket full of concrete is the anchor and a small piece of galvanized chain protruding from the concrete. Then 50 feet of 1/2 inch polypropylene rope with a float made of 2 gallon plastic bottles filled with insulation foam (in case the bottles leak they will not fill with water and sink). I will add 2 but no more than 3 palm fronds in the top 15 feet of the rope to attract bait. The place has some current so I need to see if the palm fronds create too much drag.
Why wouldn’t you collect the data from fisherman who care about their industry?
