    Thank you for your clear and concise reporting. But I do have a question: clarify the term "DEI" as I'm not good with acronyms.

    We don't want needle exchange sites or the undesirable people who use the needles. The less exchange sites, the less options abusers have and will be forced into rehab.

      Thinking fewer exchange sites will force people into rehab is a fallacy. All it will do is increase the cost on health care services due to the massive jump in blood-borne diseases (Hep B, Hep C, HIV/Aids, etc.). The other fallacy here is thinking someone in rehab is in permanent recovery and will never use needles again as the exchange sites aren't available. The exchange sites are not only keeping a lid on dirty-needle illness, they also provide a contact point of counseling toward sobriety and recovery. Fewer sites directly relates to lost opportunities to help someone get clean.

      Every single study I could find suggests that these programs are a net positive. Where are you seeing this data, other than in your head?
