i am just wanting to added it to a portion of the map im creating and i dont want to change the textures of what i already have. how do i just add the snow as a layer to paint with?
BTW it seems like the vfx goes very far, maybe forever. So my guess is that the vfx is actually following the player around. Which would be smart from Epic, because for performance, it's much better to have the vfx only show where the camera of the player is.

Yo! If i set the landdcape material to that snow all the grass turns darker and the sand becomes rocks. I can paint snow but how do i fix to stay everything else the same ? Thanks dude !!
And last thing, I tried to make a blizzard too, I duplicated the VFX to have 10 of them, but only one of them is shown in the game. Kinda makes sense that they don't want to kill performances. I even did a full Push Changes, and set my graphics to max (direct x 12 with everything in Epic, on an RTX3090) and I could still see only 1 vfx. My old laptop with a 950M does'nt show any vfx whatsoever :)
Yea, the only problem is the first one ruins every texture, and the biome way wouldn't be able to be used as a paint, so the biome of snow you placed will be permanent. Is there a possible way to get a snow paint that doesn't ruin other textures and can be used kinda like the sand texture?
For some reason Snow VFX Spawner does not work when the round starts. I found a reddit post where someone had the same issue. It might be a bug, idk. Does it work properly in 28.00?

I'm looking to do something like this. I have 3 different landscapes in my project (Athena grass, athena ice that was used here, and athena desert). Obviously, as 3 different landscapes, they dont blend together. I want to use this to make the default landscape and the different biomes will blend together by using the same textures as paint on the first landscape. How would I go about doing this and finding the textures to put into that customisable material?

There is a customisable material in the content drawer, I was wondering how I could use that to create a landscape, with my default grass and its layers, but also with a snow paint to blend the biomes together. I am keeping my 3 landscapes but If I made a material with the usual paints but with snow too, I could in theory paint snow to make it seem like they are blended. I would then use this new material on my main landscape

You double click on the material to open up the material editing window.
You go to windows and click details 1 then it will appear when you double click on landscape :)

not sure, this is the way I'd do it and then blend with normal maps. I don't think there's another way.

you might need to add a fourth landscape and then mix in between? not sure, doesn't sound easy
