Yes. I actually can mine that way, green beans with peeled potatoes in the same jar. It started years ago when I didn’t have a canner full of beans, had some new potatoes coming in. I remembered getting some mixed in a can from the grocery store. I thought why not? Been doing it that way on purpose ever since.

Potatoes and potatoes and more potatoes.... love seeing your harvest of potatoes girl ❤... Loved uout lil one calling thr potato an egg 🥚 cute lol 🤣😆.... funny 🤣.......❤ watching from Arkansas ❤️ Mary 😊
I was a city girl when I met my husband at the age of 17. We went to the garden to get potatoes and I didn’t realize they grew under the ground. 😂. I learned quickly. My kids grew up in 4 H and we made sure they knew where they did come from. Nice harvest
Nice looking potato harvest. Nice seeing the family working together for food. My dad would leave them in the ground to harden off. He would dig them in late fall before the first frost. They would last all winter into spring.
Please keep us updated, with the curing and storing that you do, if it isn’t too much trouble. I love to grow potatoes, usually have good results. I struggle with storing them. The only way I know that works without fail is to can them. Would love to know more about storing in different ways. Thank you!!
I grew potatoes last year and was struggling with ways to store them. We had 50-60 pounds of reds and somewhere around 20-25 pounds of russets grown from 7 pounds of seed potatoes. Not too shabby! I let them sit in baskets in the garage for a few weeks to cure, and bugs were starting to get into them. That's no good!! Yikes!! So, because I don't have a root cellar, the next best option was to store them under the stairs where they'd stay as cool as possible and in complete darkness, but what about the bug problem? I sorted the buggy ones out to use asap and then got some wooden crates, put a layer of sand in the bottom, a layer of potatoes, sand, potatoes, and a final layer of sand on top. The sand kept them cool and prevented bugs from getting to them as well. We had fresh potatoes to eat from late July until mid April. When they started sprouting in early March, I cut a good bit of them up into either cubes or flat slices for homemade au gratin potatoes and then dehydrated them to preserve them longer.
Fun watching you and your family harvest your potatoes. I never knew about curing potatoes. Learn something new all of the time. Fun video thank you for taking us along.
😍😍 I go out 2-3 times a week and hand pick off any pests. I know that can sound excessive and time consuming but it really doesn't take too long and makes a big difference. If I feel like it needs something I use a little diatomaceous earth but I don't like using it alot once things have blossoms because I don't want to chance the bees getting on it.
I’m always having potatoes sprout. When you plant them do you plant the whole potatoe or just the sprout. I’m not a gardener. What a harvest. Would love to eat some. Know they will be good.
Lovely film, The sizes you were pulling up there were very impressive. My crop this year was spoiled by late frost in June (I'm in Scotland) Next year I will stick to 2nd crop Tators only to be guaranteed success.
Fletcher is so cute calling it an egg. 😂
Cook your red potatoes with green beans.sooo good

Wow so rewarding!
When looking for potato’s dig quite deep down I’ve found them to be 30-60 cm deep into the ground b4 it’s crazy how far down they can get
That is impressive! Good job!
Fun watching you and your family harvest your potatoes. I never knew about curing potatoes. Learn something new all of the time. Fun video thank you for taking us along.

Enjoyed the potato harvest and watching your family.
You also can layer your potatoes with newspaper in a crate that allows air flow. Awesome crop, shows lots of hard work and dedication ❤
Can’t wait to see what you make with the potatoes! Lots of french fries? Fun video

Did you planted russet or yellow potatoes this year
Hey Tiff,Oh my goodness woman, those are some big taters and so many uses for them!
I’m always having potatoes sprout. When you plant them do you plant the whole potatoe or just the sprout.
I’m not a gardener. What a harvest. Would love to eat some. Know they will be good.
I cut the potato so there's one or two eyes per piece and plant it. :)
You can make homemade French fries or mashed potatoes 🥔

I love seeing you dig up taters. I've always wanted to grow them but never did it. I love all kinds of taters! Have you ever grown sweet potatoes?
I usually get my sweet potatoes from a local farmer but we are going to try growing some this year. :)
Good harvest but you must have left many in the ground. You should have had potato folk to lift them out
We try to avoid using a fork or shovel when we can so we don't damage any. We went back a few days later and redug to find the few stragglers. :)
You are getting sunburned my dear
Those are some HUGE taters.
Bunch of taters soon you won’t have to get any from the store
