- Franco Morbidelli topped the timesheets on day two of the 2025 Sepang MotoGP test, steering his VR46-run Ducati GP24 to the front. Meanwhile, factory riders Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez both experienced crashes.
After a dramatic opening day on Wednesday, which saw reigning world champion Jorge Martin, Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez, and VR46’s Fabio Di Giannantonio sidelined due to injury, Thursday brought a much calmer atmosphere.
Morbidelli, continuing to race the same GP24 he rode last season, led the way, with former Yamaha team-mate Fabio Quartararo securing second place. The 2021 world champion showed strong form aboard his M1, clocking a 1m57.324s late in the session.
The Gresini Racing duo of Alex Marquez and rookie Fermin Aldeguer followed in third and fourth, both on GP24s.
