- Well... this is a bit different.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, MSV have put a new fence up on the outside of Paddock Hill and on the run up towards Druids that unfortunately blocks my old filming location, therefore I have had to move. I decided to give the main grandstand a go... Its much more difficult to film turn one, and obviously the view isn't as good, but on the bright side I can now see Druids and Clearways which is a huge bonus! I'll stick with it for a while and see how we get on.
As for the racing... chaotically brilliant. Such close, wheel to wheel action from all categories this weekend, just a shame we saw so much damage. The Fiesta Juniors clearly thought it was demolition weekend with only 9 of the 23 starters finishing race one; the other championships and the Formula Fords also saw their fair share of accidents. With close racing it really doesn't take much for it to all go wrong and I think this weekend those unlucky moments happened a few too many times... Now for a long winter of repairs for many people.

The "Jr Dope" open wheel stuff is the winner, that clown floating around on top of the other was hilarious..note....no real cars were hurt in this video🤣
3:14 damn what a drift!
Nice video, at least there is still the grandstand.
its sad really that they had to add the fence towards druids, but too removed the tree that made all of those videos and images have a real meaning about this track
It's all part of works to widen the run off area at Paddock over the winter
Those tintops, particularly the Fiestas are a disgrace. What a sad sight to see driving standards so poor, I'm glad I'm not involved in any racing these days.
Trying out a different angle there mate at Paddock! Not bad actually! You back there in a couple of weeks for the Trucks and Minis mate?
Yep! I’ll be there this weekend.
@@CarsAreRacing one of my calendar highlights this one mate, really looking forward to it. Great package of racing as well for this year, can’t look at any of the championships that are there and think they will disappoint. I’m looking forward to your video already 👌👍
Fiesta mechanics did hell of a great job putting back together almost all crashed cars for race 2. Out of all drivers involved on 1st shunt , only flame airikkala could not start race 2. The other one that missed race 2 was involved into another crash.
Maybe if the kids had to fix the cars themseles there might be less of this. Driving standards were disgraceful.
@@davyboy888 given the fact several Fiesta won't be part of 2024 series (coming of mk7 as headliner car) the drivers fought as there was not a tomorrow. This saturday there Will be trackday Championships in brands, and in latest two years there were start crashes. Hope that Rain will advise race direction to give Rolling start under SC. Does a race start under SC in case of Rain in GB?
@@davyboy888 yep...inversely proportional to mechanics ability. Real heroes of weekend. Also formula Ford racers were relatively correct...for Grand final at least.
@@nicopatrizi1953 Not as often as you might think. A couple of races this year for us have been started from a standing start with abysmal visibility - couldn't see from one side of the track to the other on the straights - for me the SC start is mostly about reducing the spray
Who put that fence there 😡
They are widening the run off at Paddock Hill in the winter so they've put the barrier up early
shouldve been there for testing, there were some nasty accidents on Friday sessions!
Dan Lewis’ attempt at a move on Mulryan is atrocious!
He just pile drove him 😂🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Is that the black orange and white fiesta? #19?
yeah it was pretty shocking
@@henryriley6333 yes mate
Has the standard of driving plummeted lately? Some of this was shocking. I went to British GT at Donington on Sunday too. Every single race had a yellow flag/ safety car incident, usually on the 1st lap.
Terrible driving from some fiesta drivers , tut tut
Since most of those Fiesta Will be replaced by mk7 new models, drivers fought as there was not a tomorrow. But race One was really atrocious...banger racing at start. Those drivers should be grateful to their mechanics as almost all of the crashed Ford could rejoin for race 2. Most of the repaired Cars will anyway need a more complex TLC.
Your old angle scuppered by the new pushed back debris fencing up the hill... but it looks good from the stands!
Great footage! Coming to the Walter Hayes in a week?
Kind of wish I did choose the Walter Hayes but I’m doing the Trucks at Brands Hatch instead.
@@CarsAreRacing have fun!!
on the plus side you do some extra shots from the outher parts of the track from the grandstand
Alot of action in this clip. And good viewing angles too, more of the track to be seen.
What a great view near enough caught nearly all the incidents 👍
Nice video mate!
