  • Watch as Renaud Sauzedde, the man behind the extraordinary "One-Piece Master" guitar explains the inspiration for the one-of-a-kind instrument, and the meticulous process of building it. Also, watch and listen as artist Jay Wud lays down a few licks on this masterpiece of a guitar!
    A one-piece guitar crafted from a selected piece of ash olive burl, a very special wood that deserves unique treatment. To get the best from this outstanding wood, the “One-Piece Master” is carved out in one single piece. The uncompromising construction method has been pushed to its limits with a “through body” fingerboard that literally becomes the soundboard of the instrument. The concave body and soundboard of the “One-Piece Master” create a reverberation chamber that gives the instrument unequaled sustain and a unique resonance.

    $60,000 and the bridge is non-intonatable. Don't know about anyone else here, but being unable to play in tune is a deal breaker for me on a $400 guitar.

      Caulin Sheridan Agreed. Plus no selector switch, so it would more or less only be usable for rhythm or singer-songwriter type players. And no adjustable truss rod, so forget alternate tunings or different string gauges. It sounds great, and it's beautiful, but it's not a guitar so much as an art piece for rich folks.

    I can see the struggle of the dude playing the guitar, as the notes died at the tip of his finger as soon as he picked it. Hilariously sad for a '$60.000' piece of "ART"...!!

    • @vlklast5966
      @vlklast5966 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ivan Mahya Deva It was for demoing guitar. It's his style of playing. It is what it is. This is not an ad for music school. You seem to be some huge expert in playing. Second Hendrix or something. Do some instructional video ! Can't wait to see it!

    • @IvanMahyaDeva
      @IvanMahyaDeva 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Vlk Last I can't say that i'm a huge expert in playing guitar. But my $600 guitar sounds much better than that $60.000 "PIECE OF ART".. And as far as i concern, the main purpose of doing a product demo (guitar, in this case) is to capture all aspects of that instrument. Sound and playability are some of them. Maybe it's not important to you, but it is for me or for any body else in that matter. Unfortunately this demo cannot display those things. I don't give a damn on how much jewelry or how rare the material is, if it sounds bad, than it sounds bad. Simple as that. And if you pay close attention to my comment, you'll realize that i'm not refering to the dude, much to the guitar itself, really. FYI, i do make some product demo in my channel, check it out and feel free to dislike it. ;)

    In my humble opinion, the glued on plastic top kills the real sound of this guitar, what’s the point on using such a pestigious wood if then you’re going to choke it with a plastic cap??? Didn’t you learn anything from guitars like the Les Paul? (Just to name one)
    This guitar is all looks, sound wise has nothing special, a bit too bright too.. sorry

  • @MarshallAmpMan
    @MarshallAmpMan 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Why not get someone to demo the front pick up then the bridge pickup, then both then coil tapping and so on and so forth? Not just have someone jam on it. The jammers didn't demo the guitar they just used one tone. I'm referring to the guy in this video and the bearded dude in the other. $60,000? Who is gonna pay that much? If I had expendable cash I'd rather get an original '59 Les Paul.

    If the price was, I don't know, $7,900, I would think it's a friggin' expensive guitar. No binding, no precious inlays, average tone, no particular appealing design.
    But, no. It's $79,000. Instrument parts were inspired by ... something else, they say.
    Price was inspired by greed and arrogance. I say. Luxury? doesn't reflect in that piece of ... I don't know what.

    I can see the design logic here: just drop a few hints of Bugatti here and there; fuckers'll pay.

  • @SG-wj2qj
    @SG-wj2qj 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    People can bash all they want that it's 60k...and il be honest it's too much, I think around the 20k would be more appropriate for the rare and exotic materials used. I understand the materials used are expensive and the amount of time and labour that went into it... But I can buy allot more impressive custom guitars for fractions of the price. Zerberus Guitars being my top choice once I scrape up some spare cash.

    Le Meh, this thing is very French...form and aesthetics over function: exposed gear tuners? meh, that bridge? meh.
    Now, I want a German 60k dollar guitar. It would sound like angels singing, would have a solid simple and effective aesthetic, and you could club zombies with it and it wouldn't even go out of tune.
    Also, this thing looks like an Music Man Armada without the function and costs 10x as much.
    Le Pass.

    • @Daiceto
      @Daiceto 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The German one would Tune itself while clubbing Zombies with it.

    • @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney
      @The_sinner_Jim_Whitney 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hear, HEAR! I've always thought it looked like an Armada, only with stupid plastic, no bridge or truss rod adjustment, and no selector switch. I mean, I know it's just art, but at that price it should be beautiful enough to be art AND functional enough to take on tour if you were so inclined. Le failure.

    You were inspired by cars, cutlery, washing mashine, toilete seat... But not by instrument and music... Ill sell you my shit for only $20 000. Its third the price of your guitar. It was inspired by quality food. Good deal, isn't it ?

    Ok that 's just a one piece body/neck luthier guitar wich everyone know is bad for stability, no stainless steel frets, no roasted or beautifull wood, bad sounding pickups, made to recall the Bugatti (what the fuck?!)
    Please MZ, don't fall into stupid snobism

    • @sam44440

      four titanium rays in the neck = no stability issues. the pickups are alright, the aesthetics too. the price isn't of course.

  • @PelleKuipers
    @PelleKuipers 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    So this thing is 60000? A cnc'ed guitar? It's a nice design and all, but 60000? And it sounds just like every other guitar, on special electronics. Kind of disappointed. It's a nice design though.

    • @PelleKuipers
      @PelleKuipers 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I just built my own. Three done, and now working on 8 more to come; two of which are nearing completion. I love guitars, I love great designs (granted it is an original design). But I don't like this attitude of making something 'special' and charging 60000 for it. If it'd been special it would've at least have those microtonal frets and nice figured wood.

    • @vuriby
      @vuriby 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem Patrick, because you can't understand what the word "art" means and have no basics about working on wood, guitars and expensive projects. :)
