Are Wild Custom Guitars the same as the God City Guitars? The body looks the same, but the headstock is different. Any idea if Ballou still makes God City Guitars?

Nope, Wild Custom Guitars are made in France by the Wild Custom company, separate from God City though they certainly share some of the same aesthetics!

He made a run of guitars a few months ago that already sold out but is doing preorders for some more designs

I actually bought a Wild Customs hybrid guitar a few months ago and I can say that they are extremely overpriced and over hyped. The build quality is very cheap feeling: I actually had to get the guitar set up because the pick up solder came loose etc. Also the metal top makes it difficult to take the guitar apart to even get to the truss rod you have to take everything apart. and remove the neck. Now I am unable to really get the action how i like it and there is fret buzz everywhere. but it looks cool and sounds cool.

Totally. They started with a tag price of about 1000 euros...2000 for the highest priced. After ballou started playing them they doubled and more. Ridiculous. And they have nothing *that* special about them either.
