A Vigilant would be an excellent lookout since they could tap determination to never get bored while on watch and the Tin makes them better lookouts in general.
@@sergiogimenez3923 well drabs are because nalthians are born with slightly more investiture than the average person and a drab has slightly less investiture than the average person. We’ve never seen anyone interact with the base investiture that humans and Vin burning aluminum doesn’t describe herself as becoming anything like a drab so you would be correct
I decided I would try to make resonances for each of the Twinborn. Currently I’ve gotten the first 8 from the video, hopefully I will get the other 8 by the end of the day, and I’ve written them below. If I see any ideas for them from another person in the comments that I like I will put it in and give them credit for the idea. Anyway hope you all like the ideas. 1. Silver Tongue: Allomantically Brass - Soothes emotions Feruchemically Bendalloy - Stores nutrition, calories, and water Resonance: Is able to soothe the appetite and energy used by those around them 2. Luckshot: Allomantically Steel - Pushes on metal Feruchemically Chromium - Stores Fortune Resonance: When storing luck, metal may suddenly break under the pressure, but when using luck the metal might go towards a place the Luckshot wants it to go instead of just going in a direct line away from the Luckshot 3. Predator: Allomantically Bronze - Hears allomantic pulses Feruchemically Pewter - Stores physical strength Resonance: When sensing a pulse, uses less strength for the same result 4. Ladybug: Allomantically Aluminum - Can wipe their allomantic reserves (negates investiture touching them) Feruchemically Chromium - Stores Fortune Resonance: It’s hard to tell when they are or aren’t using fortune as their good luck often appears to be bad luck at first from an outside viewpoint 5. Sentinal: Allomantically Bronze - Hears allomantic pulses Feruchemically Tin - Stores hearing, sight, taste, touch, and smell Resonance: Can also store their ability to hear allomantic pulses 6. Shadowheart: Allomantically Copper - Hides Allomantic pulses in an area around them Feruchemically Electrum - Stores determination Resonance: invested beings in their coppercloud can feel slightly more determined/fearful depending on if the Shadowheart is using or storing determination 7. Veilmendor: Allomantically Copper - Hides allomantic pulses in an area around them Feruchemically Gold - Stores health Resonance: The coppercloud can remain for a short period of time(10 seconds - 1 minute)after a Veilmendor is out of copper 8. Daydreamer: Allomantically Electrum - Reveal your own future Feruchemically Bronze - Stores wakefulness Resonance: Will have really vivid dreams about a later version of themselves (happens super rarely, maybe futuresight?)
Here are the other 8. 9. Anticipator: Allomantically Electrum - Reveal your own future Feruchemically Cadmium - Stores breath Resonance: They can intuitively know when to hold their breath and when it’s safe to breath 10. Charger: Allomantically Nicrosil - Enhance Allomantic burn of target Feruchemically Bronze - Stores wakefulness Resonance: Will make people around them feel more awake 11. Enabler: Allomantically Nicrosil - Enhance Allomantic burn of target Feruchemically Duralumin - Stores Connection Resonance: They can feel recent memories and experiences that the people they boost have had. It will leave a vague impression in the Enabler’s mind and they will think it’s their own emotion or experience. 12. Pacifier: Allomantically Brass - Soothes emotions Feruchemically Duralumin - Stores Connection Resonance: They exude a slight air of calm and peace around them, making everything feel slightly easier and less stressful when they use their connection 13. Vigilant: Allomantically Tin - Increases the 5 senses Feruchemically Electrum - Stores Determination Resonance: When storing determination their senses increase ever so slightly 14. Watchtower: Allomantically Tin - Increases the 5 senses Feruchemically Pewter - Stores physical strength Resonance: They are known to have great control over their body, even when super bulky and tapping into strength 15. High Roller: Allomantically Zinc - Riots emotions Feruchemically Chromium - Stores Fortune Resonance: When they use luck they often get put in high stakes situations 16. Zealot: Allomantically Zinc - Riots emotions Feruchemically Duralumin - Stores Connection Resonance: They can read the emotions of people and crowds very well
Enabler's resonance being enabling duralumin burn from distance, due to strong connection. You store connection to someone to later use it to transfer your duralumin through connection
I feel like it should have been mentioned that Sentinel’s can likely pierce copper clouds as they’re able to store their seeking sense and tap a bunch at once for a stronger seeking. Makes this probably the best combo for A bronze. But I love twinborn and am psyched to hear someone is gonna be going into this much detail. Can’t wait to see the other videos
Ladybug would be especially perilous because the aluminum might wipe your Fortune, too. I think your metalminds are usually considered a separate entity from you, but there are probably at least some situations in which they could be affected by your Allomantic metals. If you are regularly making yourself unlucky by storing Fortune, you are very likely to eventually wipe out a massive store of it with your aluminum--even if the precise situation where that could happen is very unlikely. Now, because aluminum wipes any internal Investiture, it can actually be very useful to a worldhopper--and you could even potentially use it with your Fortune. You lose all of the Fortune in the very instant that you burn aluminum, but it can still guarantee that you burn at the most ideal moment.
Yeah that's something I hadn't really thought about. Would burning Aluminum wipe any attribute your tapping Feruchemically? Hmm.. I'll have to search through some WoBs and see if Brandon has ever talked about that!
I would really like to see the rest of the videos. It's just fun to learn about the different twinborn combos and think about how such characters may appear and interact with in the future of the cosmere
Fun list! But Fortune isn't luck, it ties to spiritual Fortune, which is usually represented as precognition, instinct, fortune-telling. We haven't seen what this looks like feruchemically in canon yet, and the MAG interpretation and rules are non-canon. So who knows, maybe these tier placements are different for MAG vs canon characters
Yeah, Feruchemical fortune is one of those aspects we don't really know enough about yet. I went with The Lost Metal Ars Arcanum entry for this tier list, which says: "“Spinner Ferrings can store Fortune in a chromium metalmind, making themselves unlucky during active storage, and can tap it at a later time to increase their luck.” --TLM Ars Arcanum Now, that's written by an in-universe scholar, so it's likely flawed. We know that Hoid uses Fortune to end up where he needs to be, but doesn't know why he needs to be there, according to this WoB: wob.coppermind.net/events/32/#e2567. That's _kind_ of like being lucky (you go with the flow and end up where you need to be). It will be cool when we finally get to see a canonical chromium Feruchemist! The only thing I used the MAG rulebook for are the names and the reputations, nothing else (I haven't even read through it). I probably should have clarified that in the video! lol
I’ve always loved the combo of aBendalloy and fCopper. I think it would be a really good spy. Perfect recollection of conversations or scenes or important info and the ability to pause time for a second to access or store without anyone noticing? Easy A tier for social settings. Could also be pretty decent for fights with the bendalloy alone
Burning aluminum might stop a shardblade from going through you. It's still a metal sword that's likely to cut you, though, and armor would still be usless.
Honestly best way to stop a shardblade is aluminum armor. Imagine someone with an aluminum gauntlet just grabbing a ahardblade trying to slice them in half
@tomraineofmagigor3499 aluminum kinda sucks mechanically, and you can not forge it easily. Soulcasting a suit of aluminum armor is the only real way to get it, since aluminum production requires electricity, which rosharans don't have. The better mechanical properties of alloys like duralumin come with different spiritual properties and likely don't halt investiture in the same way.
one thing to note, there is a WOB saying that duralumin could potentially give a boost to other magic systems, so maybe duralumin twinborn could get some use out of duralumin? my personal theory is that you would have to be a duralumin savant in order to boost other magic systems
Vigilant seems pretty good, tbh. Tin requires a ton of mental focus to use well, and storing Determination keeps you from getting mentally burned out from the effort.
Hope you get through them all. Maybe needs clearer bounds like S tier is Mistborn level and Busted is just below Lord Ruler level. And an order of allomancy (maybe just get all the gnats out of the way first since their combos don’t do anything)
Do you remember which book that's talked about in? I think I might remember a WoB where Brandon says the Inquisitors used bronze to track down the Keepers in Era 1.
The sixth sense was referring to the Sentinel Twinborn being able to hear allomantic pulses. So they are able to sense those pulses when a normal person with only five senses can't.
Am I the only one who thought that the Vigilant was going to get higher? I thought Determination would let you ignore or push through the pain from being overwhelmed as well as help you hyper-focus on your senses.
I bet it definitely could help in the ways you stated, but since tapping determination puts you in a state of mania, it's almost a double edged sword. It would likely lead to bad decision making too, I think, which makes me hesitant to rank it very high on the list.
I don't think so. The rule book they come from actually says this: "The table on page 180 lists nicknames and perceptions of notable types of Twinborn. These names change frequently with popular culture, but should provide good grist for your own names and ideas!"
@@ExploringTheCosmere Yeah looking at it and the KS update that just came out Mastermind is a path specialty now when it used to be a Zinc Compounder. But some of them might still carry over unchanged namewise at least.
Maybe so! The Ars Arcanum says that when you tap determination, you enter a state of mania, which could be good or bad. Like it might make a person make poor decisions because they feel that they are invincible.
@@ExploringTheCosmere I think the form of 'mania' refered to is more like a bi-polar mania, in saying that its more of a huge (perceived) energy boost and alertness as opposed to something more akin to insanity that you seem to be thinking of

@@ExploringTheCosmere There is, I’ll look for it. Basically burning aluminum cleanses your body of ANY investiture by my understanding
@@dominicpizano887 it must at least leave base human investiture, right? because, if not, burning aluminum turns you into a drab (from warbreaker)
