And the color popping and brightness of this third gen QD OLED panel is just amazing! I’m not even going to try out the LG G4 now as I can’t imagine going back to a screen with reflections.
You missed sth there. The trick with the S95D is that the softer reflection is a good thing, not a bad thing. I really can't understand why you described it as kind of a bug?! The S90D at 83" is not the same as the smaller sizes due to the lack of a QD OLED screen. It was on my list until I discovered that shortcoming. At 83", would you rather have a B4 or S90D?
A lot less expensive. The g2 doesn't have MLA but is great. The UX is great for that price. I would definitely recommend the UX because of the value while being amazing.
@ my understanding is that the 97” G4 doesn’t have MLA as well. Would that mean the 97” G4 and G2 are similar in picture quality? Leaving aside value, how do the two compare purely in terms of picture quality?
I’m aiming for the s90d. I love quantum dot because of its brightness and OLED because of its inky blacks. And having both worlds in one tv sounds like an amazing deal.
Look at the 1 star reviews on the s90d. Mine died in less than 3 weeks. I was gonna exchange for another s90d because it was phenomenal while it worked then I looked at the reviews and realized that it's a pretty common issue with them. If you do end up buying one anyways definitely buy the extended warranty
I don’t understand how to G4s anti reflective capabilities got a higher rating than S95D. The only time I’ve experienced this is in a store with lots of overhead bright lights, in every other more realistic viewing setting the S95D has G4 best easily. Plus better colors. Less accurate but after calibration it’s pretty much the same.
Hi made love your vidios can u help me on a problem am having please Sony bravia TV Sony sound bar can't get audio system to work in audio output in settings thanks 👍
Hey, make sure to have the hdmi in the ARC in tv and same on sound bar. There is a sound setting that engages EARC on the tv menu if it's off, it may not work properly. Normally it's plug and play.
I’ve bought for the Black Friday a 65” G4 for 1900 bucks. And i can confirm the “wow effect” when turned on the Tv and started to watch to NFL content on gamepass, or films and series on Apple Tv and Prime video. Stunning Tv, bright tv. The Google tv operating system of my previous Sony was better, than the webOs, but you will foget this detail when watching to this super tv. Also the vocal assistant works well. You’ll be happy with such a tv.
I've had some issues with the S95D as well. It is finicky with connecting to sources, i don't love the matte finish as much as I thought, and no Dolby Vision is just an annoyance but not deal breaker. I prefer and think the Google TV OS is superior as well. All 3 are top tier
@@BTheInstaller The TizenOS is just an absolute mess. There was talk that Samsung might just drop it altogether and adopt GoogleTV instead. They won't do that largely due to pride, but they really should. The TizenOS has been an absolute lost cause for years now - and it never gets any better. Confusing, non-intuitive and clumsy interface and workflow there on that.
It seems Philips is still behind on upscaling and processing. They also are very expensive, you can get better specs and better value going for LG or Samsung. C4 and S90D destroy the Philips 809, and you can often find them for a cheaper price. G4, S95D and A95L also destroy Philips 909, which is also often more expensive than those three. They are great overall but behind their competitors and often more expensive. Ambilight is cool tho, and that's pretty much the only advantage they have over other brands.
I was going to get a Sony OLED, but I got a great deal on a 65" TCL QM8. It's about half the price of the tvs I had been looking at. It's the largest tv I have ever owned and is going to be a massive all around upgrade over my other tvs. 😊
That's too bad as that's much less of a TV at every level. Plus, statistically speaking, the cheaper TVs just don't last as long. If you get one, get as much additional protection/coverage on it as you possibly - and then cross your fingers and hope for the best.
The 55" sizes have the same damn problem. I own the U8N 55" because it is the top tier model from Hisense and the only manufacture in Mini Leds that has a top tier model. I can call it top tier because it does come in all major sizes in this class. The UX Model TVs are just super size TVs with 10,000 local dimming zones. I went from the Vizio C2 43" to the M7 50", to what I have now. I'm now maxed out on my shelf space.
I would put the C4 above the S90D for only one reason and that’s Dolby Vision. If that is something that matters to you like me then I try to avoid Samsung like the plague for now. If you are someone who doesn’t care about DV, then this list would be correct
For me the TCL QM7 is Bettler than the HISENSE U7 because when you do your own color setting or you pay a profesional you get 9.7 out of 10 in the QM7 and HISENSE do not Last more than 4 to 5years years of live. TCL live is around of 7 years or live
@jizzyjake6783 no they just hae not been in the market long enough to trust for a purchase that for me lasts 10 to 15 years and gets replaced before it breaks and hear way too much about the brand breaking sub 5 years
@Stompinwind Yeah that would be unfortunate. I have personally never had a TV quit working on me and I've bought a lot of "cheap" ones lol. Might bite me someday but I like giving the little guys a chance.
For longevity, my LG TVs are lasting the longest… I’m looking for an excuse to upgrade to an oled, qled or mini-led tv…but this lg 3d tv won’t die! 😅. It’s a 1080p tv and honestly, it looks as good if not better than my 4K TVs . I think because this 3d lg tv has better processors in it, it’s allowing it to have a much longer shelf life. And I can’t get rid of it because my wife still loves it! And to be honest the picture is still great! The largest tv I have is an lg 65”, but I want to upgrade to at least a 75” upgraded tv. That is why I say if someone was wanting a tv that has longevity…the lg TVs in my opinion are lasting very long!…a good problem to have!
I have a video coming out tonight about the Sony a95l unboxing in sdr First il Impressing it long about 50 min but not much editing. 100% real me at 6pm Eastern time
Like Caleb from D.T. said there is no such thing as a perfect TV. I have the U8N I like it alot but it has a huge learning curve on the best picture settings. The processor can't do black contrast in high settings without vertical banding and a lot of it. You have to keep Local Dimming on low and tge Brightness has to be at maximum of 22. At least it is fixable with setting options. I'm watching Jack In a Box Risen on Amazon. It's got a lot of dark and black scenes. So this movie really test every LED TV. At least with the L.D. on low I get to keep the peak brightness on high. I have the Contrast at 40. With Vizio M7 series you had to keep local dimming off. Content accuracy has to go out the window sometimes for better black levels. My U8 does have a slight vertical darker image on the ride side of the screen but it doesn't bother me as much. It's inky visible in light color scenes. It's far better than half a screen from my Vizio that also had tan spots in the corners. It was everywhere on it and it was the sole reason why I now have the U8N. I also like having Google TV. I wish TV processors would get better with A1 to fix banding without us TV trying like hell with remote while watching a movie to figure out how to eliminate it. I'll take black crush any day over artifacts, ghosting and banding.
Not sure if your paid by LG but I’ve seen the Sony A95L and LG G4 and Samsung S95D. Side by side by side at Best Buy in ATL. Samsung and Sony are king! Both fantastic TVs I’d rank LG G4 3rd. Colors look better on the other two TVs no doubt.
S90d being brighter than the c4 outside of game mode is debatable, from the comparisons i have seen between the 2 the c4 seems to do a better job of tone mapping which makes it appear a bit brighter most of the time.
@@BTheInstallerthanks for a great review. I remember fue years ago i sent you a message and you answered all my questions and helped me to choose a TV👍👍. This year thanks to your videos i choosed the 75"TCL QM8 (TCL C89B in france) and i'm very satisfied. Great value for the price (1490€).
The S90D at 83" is not the same as the smaller sizes due to the lack of a QD OLED screen. It was on my list until I discovered that shortcoming. At 83", would you rather have a B4 or S90D?
This is a good point. I would get the s90d but they're both great
can anyone tell me what's the name of the soundbar used under LG G4? or any other similar ones that are thin af?

@BTheInstaller thanks boss
How would you compare the 98” UX with the 97” G2 that you previously reviewed?
@ thanks for the heads up. What is the common issue with the S90d tvs?
I don’t understand how to G4s anti reflective capabilities got a higher rating than S95D. The only time I’ve experienced this is in a store with lots of overhead bright lights, in every other more realistic viewing setting the S95D has G4 best easily. Plus better colors. Less accurate but after calibration it’s pretty much the same.
What type of sound bar is that?
QQ: QN95C or QN90D? which is better, please advise
QN95C. It is QD Oled.
@scottivlow9962 I think you are getting mixed up between S95C and QN95C, I was referring to QN95C
are you planning on reviewing the Panasonic Z95A?
What happened to the Hisense 8N
Hi made love your vidios can u help me on a problem am having please Sony bravia TV Sony sound bar can't get audio system to work in audio output in settings thanks 👍
Hey, make sure to have the hdmi in the ARC in tv and same on sound bar. There is a sound setting that engages EARC on the tv menu if it's off, it may not work properly. Normally it's plug and play.
@BTheInstaller thanks soo much 👍
I wonder what the best 50 inch tvs are
Thanks!
QM7 is C745 or C765?
I have the S95D and the G4. Amazed by both but the colours in gaming are just more pleasing on the S95D.
Thought I saw somewhere that the processing/upscaling on the S90D wasn't that great.
I’m wondering how much the prices will come down when the 2025 models hit the market. When do you expect that to happen?
I’ve bought for the Black Friday a 65” G4 for 1900 bucks. And i can confirm the “wow effect” when turned on the Tv and started to watch to NFL content on gamepass, or films and series on Apple Tv and Prime video. Stunning Tv, bright tv. The Google tv operating system of my previous Sony was better, than the webOs, but you will foget this detail when watching to this super tv. Also the vocal assistant works well. You’ll be happy with such a tv.
Would u ever consider reviewing the new smazon Omni mini LED tv ?
Not sure why you would have the A95L in 2nd with so many problems/flaws compared to the S95D!?
I have the 77" G4 and I agree, it is the best ever. Hard to find anything it could be better at.
Just at the beginning but shocked how good the low budget tvs are
They've become so good over the years.
@@daisybe3736 Designed to fail after a year or two.
The problem with the Samsung tvs is lack of Dolby Vision and the antireflective coating makes it look more grayish than black.
hey B we need the best settings for the 98UX please
I landed a 83 G4 for 6300 CAD.
I have a 77 B3 n never had a glare problem until it’s off
No Panasonic?
Philips OLED TV's?
I’m limited to a 42” or 43” tv due to furniture size constraints. Very few models come this small. LG C3 is probably my choice.
Bro, thats a gaming monitor.
@@charliewilson85 Not in my room it isn't.
s95 d matt finish should have been an option... samsung would have nailed it then
Which is better option between Bravia 8 65inch and Bravia 7 75inch ?
My S90D was defective , turns off randomly n then turns on when it wants to
I’ll have the C4 in 2 days
That's not great. Enjoy the C4
@ yup I got it last night and I am satisfied
The Bravia 9 is a beast. Saw it today and fell in love but to expensive for me
I Agree with B on this one. The LG G4 is the best T.V. of the year.
Philips 908 or 909 ?!?
I watch tv in my head
I just "Channel" everything
My S95D trounces my g3 in antireflective capabilities
Nice video keep up the great work B the installer
Which will last the longest ?
Is this video from 4:35 on TH-cam? What's his name?
Still using Edge LED for backlight in "better" TVs nowadays should be a crime...😅
Just bought the qm7 but missed the deal. Paid a extra 300
The 98QM751G is the best bang for your buck. Under $2k for a 98" tv that just last year would have cost you $5k for worse specs.
U Had To Do This!!!! Outta All B.. You Install And Operate TV'S Night And Day!!! ❤❤❤ Had To Hear It From You ULTIMATELY!!!!
I got 2 65 Samsung s90D for Black Friday for both for $2500
Yes, LG G4 is amazing!
we just bought TCL S58 LED from costco for $249
Just imagine when TCL gets into OLED
I would put the C4 above the S90D for only one reason and that’s Dolby Vision. If that is something that matters to you like me then I try to avoid Samsung like the plague for now. If you are someone who doesn’t care about DV, then this list would be correct
Dolby vision is a gimmick I turned it off on my A80j makes the picture so dim and dark
@ I have the LG C2 and Dolby Visions looks incredible and MILES better than anything else on the TV so not sure what kind of settings you have bro.
Yeah I had the S90D and it was faulty and I genuinely do like the tv but I’m returning it for C4
X90L not the best budget TV? Kidding me? A Sony for $1000 at Bestbuy...heck of a deal....
It's great, but in a brighter room, it's both dimmer and has poor reflection control.
22:01, that's a 1000 difference not 400. Good video, thanks
Q651 is a joke compared to the QM7
I just bought S90D all reviews say its better lol almost got the C4
For me the TCL QM7 is Bettler than the HISENSE U7 because when you do your own color setting or you pay a profesional you get 9.7 out of 10 in the QM7 and HISENSE do not Last more than 4 to 5years years of live. TCL live is around of 7 years or live
There is no evidence for these estimates. Both great tvs.
I want an LG G8 or G9.
No X95L??? No QN95D???
Having hisense listed makes me disreguard this list
You dont like Mexican TVs?
@jizzyjake6783 no they just hae not been in the market long enough to trust for a purchase that for me lasts 10 to 15 years and gets replaced before it breaks and hear way too much about the brand breaking sub 5 years
@Stompinwind Yeah that would be unfortunate. I have personally never had a TV quit working on me and I've bought a lot of "cheap" ones lol. Might bite me someday but I like giving the little guys a chance.
@jizzyjake6783 well mine have always been good deals, but worst one was a sanyo back in 2001
For longevity, my LG TVs are lasting the longest…
I’m looking for an excuse to upgrade to an oled, qled or mini-led tv…but this lg 3d tv won’t die!
100% real me at 6pm Eastern time
Good luck with your video!
Catchy thumbnail
Colors look better on the other two TVs no doubt.
is it just me .ive got the g4 and find it average
Its possibly the best tv ever. Maybe it's too small and far away. I find great tvs have less impact when they're undersized.
S90d being brighter than the c4 outside of game mode is debatable, from the comparisons i have seen between the 2 the c4 seems to do a better job of tone mapping which makes it appear a bit brighter most of the time.
Bravia 9 is the GOAT. Incredible TV.
Even for a basement?
No. It's good but oled tvs are much better for darker room. The UX was pretty good in dark room too
Have to disagree. Great for a MiniLED, but still can’t compete with the best OLED’s.
@@BTheInstallerthanks for a great review. I had to return Bravia 8 as it was too dim to my liking; Samsung as a brand I decided not to give my money to any longer so I am biased although the picture quality looks phenomenal on s90d. So here is my question. Would you pick a C4 over Bravia 9? Two different technologies but with different strengths, but for movies and sports, which one would be preferred? Thank you in advance.
@@partizanbgd0113I would choose the Bravia 9 hands down, the c4 is not much brighter than the Bravia 8 and the blacks on the Bravia 9 is oled level your naked eye can’t tell the difference
And why do all tvs (even super bright ones) look so dim in your room? Can you add different lighting conditions when you show content on the panel? Thx
It's very hard to properly expose both a room and a tv. Much harder than people realize. But the info we tell you is more important than how you perceived the picture quality. Let me know if you have questions pertaining to a specific tv
@@BTheInstaller the 98” qm8 2024 is now $3000 today !!! Lowest ever!!! Returning my 98” qm7 for this qm8!!
