Rest in peace Steve Lambert. He played the silver mask ninja perfectly. The swagger and the movement was spot on. Loved that Oni mask too and hearing the story behind it. Arthur Roberts voice completed the character.

I just received my second screen used Kosugi sword . This one is from Revenge of the Ninja and Ill do a review video of the sword this weekend.

Awesome documentary! Watched the whole thing! Brought back a lot of memories!
Some of the stunts Lambert did with little or no safety equipment is crazy. I doubt any studio would greenlight any of that now. (Which is frankly a shame.)
Thanks so much!! Lambo was a special guy indeed. Still the only stunt performer to ever scale the Statue of Liberty, which is just awesome. He was fearless, friendly, and funny as hell! I'm gonna miss him. 🙏

@@retrofiendradio Pretty awesome! As a kid, I definitely assumed that on the scene where he rides the zip line between the buildings that there was a (properly installed) safety net just below the frame. To know how it actually went down is wild.
BTW I loved the movie growing up when I lived in Tennessee. I live in Salt Lake now and learned a few years ago that ROTN was shot here and it blew my mind. What an odd city to shoot a ninja movie in. I need to go see if those buildings are still downtown. They don't look familiar. The fountain where the dude takes the shuriken to the eye though is definitely still there.

Revenge of the ninja and Bruce lees game of death has something similar . You can see last 15 minutes and feel so full of revenge ! Kosugi At the end you can see Bruce lee both have to go up a tower to take their revenge . Those too are best martial art movies ever done . Masterpieces . I have to see them once every month for the last 40 years .
