Notice how hard it is to use the wand because of the curve at the top of the handle. You cannot place a small pointed attachment to just the handle, you have to attach it to the end of the long post, making it very hard to vacuum small spaces like a car. It also cracks the hose very easily because of the stress on the wand at that handle curve.
I bought this vacuum thru Amazon for 179.00. I am very pleased with the Shark! I love there power head and how well it picks up pet hair especially off my black futon cushion, because it shows everything! If I were to change anything on this vacuum would be to have use of the power head when I vacuum my staircase. Other than that.... Shark is THEE best vacuum cleaner on the market! Now Shark has to come out with a carpet shampoo cleaner and house cleaning would be complete!! 😁

I almost did have a vacuum anymore cause it was stuck and I couldn’t use it, my neighbor got vice grips and broke it apart to get it out. Be careful if you have this using attachments
I have one of these, the hose is too short, its unbalanced when using the hose attachments with the top unattached, the extra attachments are not well made and break easy. the actual vacuum cleaner is ok, and works well on carpet. Doesn't seem to work as good on flat floors, wooden or vinyl, will leave lots of objects behind. Very difficult on stairs, infuriates my wife. Also emptying the little box is badly designed. Over priced, but good. Try before you by.
I agree Captain. I have this item also. I find it does work well on carpets, but it is difficult to manage beyond that. OH and no on tells you that the directions say to empty the dust cup and clean it every time you vacuum. I find it annoying that I pick up dirt off the floor and then have to breathe the stuff in when I empty the container and then have to clean a dirty container every time, either by hand with paper towels as they suggest, or wash it out, and wait two days for it to dry so I can put it away. Really I dont find it more convenient at all.
@Marie kr, this vacuum is badly designed, I cannot imagine old people being able to use this on stairs as its so heavy and awkward. We still use our old dyson for some parts of the house as this one is completely useless for high up, stairs and corners, under beds, lino, wooden floors etc. The attachments do not work well, its so big and has a small tight hose. Like dragging around an elephant with a small trunk. Also your consumer report sound made up, Voted best vacuum by the 'average person', haha.

I won’t buy any other vacuum cleaner but shark but the navigator lift for me was the worst decision ever because the cord is too short and the red release button to release the bottom wand is not easy to get to. And the placing of the attachments as you showed on you video fall off with any little tap .I also don’t like the release buckles to remove the canister .I like the automatic click into place canister . Very disappointed with this particular shark.
To be honest, it works just as well as a Dyson. Although it is not as strong in terms of durability thereby more susceptible to breakage, if you accidentally drop it or bang hard into something.
The belts on the shark vacuums are a lifetime belt they are not suppose to break or ware out. If you have a shark vacuum that is not functioning properly call their support line. You're shark vacuum has a 5 year warranty and they will ship you a new part with no questions asked.

Not sure if you already tried it, but the suction is adjustable on the handle. I was having the same problem, until I adjusted it. Now it’s amazing!
