Bad Waters and Beggar's Dance are two songs of theirs that have clean vocals throughout. Beggar's Dance has a strong bossa nova vibe to it, really catchy. Makes you wanna move!
I am 60 years old, I have been into rock and metal since I was in high school. I absolutely love this band and the whole concept of progressive metal. Even at 60 I my love my metal heavy and my music loud. Thanks for your reaction video.
It’s not over till lead singer Femme Fatale Tatiana Shmailyuk gets the WALL OF DEATH!!!! Wait what, the drummer is using “DOUBLE BUTTED STICKS “meaning there is no tip-end of the drum stick, nice!!
Floor...Simone...Tatiana....Alyssa...Sharon....Angela....the list goes on and on...Metal music is amazing, but let's face it, metal also has the hottest women in the world. Suck on that, Disney Pop Princesses! Another cool reaction....and the quality of the videos just keeps getting better!
Oh and ya Tatiana does write alot of the lyrics but it is shared too. Oh Grammy wants a full tune without the growling, Jinjer- Bad Waters, There is a cool live version somewhere.
The singer is Tatiana Shmaylyuk. Yes she is the one who writes the lyrics for the music, but the music itself is written by the other members of the band. You're also right about the Pink Floyd reference. This song has been described as their own "Another Brick In The Wall" as it is also about questioning and challenging authority. And it has a deliberate reference to one of the lyrics. Good catch!
The band, headed by the bassist write the music and the the singer (if needed with help from the bassist) writes the lyrics. Some of their very early songs were written by the original male singer and the bassist.
Fun reaction! The lyrics in Jinjer's songs are generally exceptional ("Teacher, Teacher" is one of them) and well worth having handy while reacting. Also well worth analyising. Sometimes they are to the point (e.g. "Who is Gonna be the One") and sometimes they are beautifully tangential and abstract ("Pisces", "I Speak Astronomy")
Enjoyed your video very much! If you want to hear Tatiana showing off her chops with *only* clean vocals, you might like "Beggar's Dance." I don't think there's a music video for it, but it's a jazzy little lyrical overture to the "King of Everything" album that kind of sums up what the whole album is about.
You two crack me up! I like you two together. 😁 Unleash the Archers - The Matriarch, General of the Dark Army, Apex, Awakening, Cleanse the Bloodlines... any of the above - just for Pops. 😂
I think we all need to see a vid from you guys in the moshpit at a Jinjer gig. They're coming to a town probably not that near you soon. Get ya tickets.
the guys compose all the music...Tatiana has written the lyrics for all of Jinjer's songs since joining except for the three, maybe four songs Eugene the bass player has written...he also helped Tatiana write lyrics for Pisces....so far, they have three songs without harsh vocals, one on video called "Bad Water" and the other two Prologue and Beggars Dance which bookend their album King of Everything...I say so far because they are releasing a new album near the end of the year....they have a song that might also appeal because of its catchy chorus called "Just Another"
A lot of Jinjer's music has a lot of political and emotional content from growing up and having family still living in occupied Ukraine. This song is in reference to not giving in to those who have influence. Whether it be a teacher, a preacher, a politician or who ever it may be. Tatiana is an extremely impressive lyricist and really puts a great deal of emotion into her lyrics and as you can tell a true unicorn when it comes to female singers in the metal scene and is only made better by the three insanely talented musicians she shares the stage with. Just a complete package of a band on many levels
"Good evening, kids, take your seats, Open up your Bibles I'm gonna chastise some rivals So keep your eyes wide open The young soul lost control, Made her first foul This is my duty to set the bounds" She grabbed my hand, Took me in, placed me in front of the class She gave a hint I was the clou Of her mass I’m in the middle of the Holy of Holies I have no worries I saw dusty icons on the wall I saw needles and stones So she put a paper bag on my head She pointed finger at me, and then she said "Dear Lord, forgive me as I'm slapping Slapping Slapping this sinful child By your hand I'm led so I will show Show What is wrong and what is right Choose your label ’cause I'm mercy Mercy Merciful Put your knuckles on the table, Meet my friend ferule Who'll punish you" When their prejudice let us down We stand firmly on our ground Don't let their school make a fool of you Because the teachers may be fools too When their prejudice let us down We stand firmly on our ground Don't let their school make a fool of you Because the teachers may be fools too Laws chalked on the blackboard Can't be erased until it gets boring The lady spoke and then she choked On the convictions oh so alluring She made a pause In her verbal overdose My paper bag slipped down on the floor I took a look around, there was no sanctuary Desks empty, the school was all imaginary, ah Teacher, teacher! Self-proclaimed preacher Under the flag of welfare Your lectures start to blare We need no soap shoved down our throats So keep your monologues unrated and remote I am a bad example of order This life is not a prison and you are not a warden Please teacher, teacher! Leave us alone As we accept life lessons from no one When their prejudice let us down We stand firmly on our ground Don't let their school make a fool of you Because the teachers may be fools too When their prejudice let us down We stand firmly on our ground Don't let their school make a fool of you Your idols scream to me Throwing shame on my face As I turn away from infamy and disgrace I smile to you, ’cause I want you to see How I break the rules in front of your trinity Your idols scream to me Throwing shame on my face As I turn away from infamy and disgrace Oh, I smile to you I smile to you I smile to you
Hey whats up, Been watching a few of your reactions and great stuff!, Jinjer is one of my favourites from nowadays and just amazing once you get deeper into their stuff because I'm an old school headbanger they get better every tune you listen too. Pops knows what up with Jinjer, I think Grammy needs some more to get the full range of what they can do, How about Jinjer-I Speak Astronomy. Cheers and rock ya later
"Bad Water" is really cool, but you two HAVE to consider "Beggar's Dance" from the King of Everything album. I don;t want to spoil anything, but it's very different, even for a band as dynamic as Jinjer.
You should do Yours is an Empty Hope live from the Nightwish Cruise to hear some Floor growls. Easy to miss cause she growls behind Marko's singing but you can hear it if you listen for it.
Love the reaction as I sit here at the laundromat and people looking at me funny for enjoying this. Consider reacting to Devon Townsend, you won't regret it. Anything from his Royal Albert Hall concert and anything for that matter. Trust me on this, a very different rabbit hole to explore.
If you guys liked this, I always recommend people listen to some of their early stuff, scissors is a personal favorite. Don't look up the official one, look up the one from bestiarium it's probably my favorite stuff they've done.
Tatiana doesn’t write the music. The guys write it, and then (in most cases) give it to Tati to write lyrics. In some few cases the guys write lyrics. You never bite that pretzel, and your pup wants it!
I love how pops teases grammy its really cute and tatiana does writes most of their lyrics but she also shares the work between band members first tatiana listen's the instrumentals then based on what she feels with the instrumentals she writes the lyrics teacher teacher was written by tatiana it was what happened to her in her past and yeah you both should definitely check out bad water its fully melodic by jinjer and also please react to perennial or ape by jinjer please 😁😁👍and who is going to be the one live also by jinjer please
@NaPa oh thank you for the information brother actually i was going to type it . It is about how people try to teach you about things and they themselves don't know anything about it this is what i got from it 😁
Lots of people catch on to the Pink Floydish tone. The song is about a girl (who either doesn't believe in God or is badly rebellious) in harsh parochial school being punished by the nun for an infraction. I think Grammy needs "Bad Water". No growling.... and now to watch your Babymetal reaction.....
@NaPa I know she wasn't speaking from personal experience, but many have had exactly that experience in parochial schools for the last 100 years or so. Either way that's the reference/metaphor she chose to use.
I Speak Astronomy, Perennial are "must have". Maybe Ape would be too much (yet). The lyrics are all written masterfully, and Tati used to be a teacher.
Hey guys. LOL. I'm going to be honest with you here if I made chime in. I have only heard one or two songs by this band. At my first reaction I don't like them. But this is my second or third song. And I have to admit this song I kind of did like. I'm not a big fan of the whole growling thing myself. But I did think it did fit in with this song. I am also trying to be open-minded and to be open to new things. Don't get me wrong this is not Nightwish LOL. With that being said Keep On Keepin On
Bad Waters and Beggar's Dance are two songs of theirs that have clean vocals throughout. Beggar's Dance has a strong bossa nova vibe to it, really catchy. Makes you wanna move!
BLESS YOU GRAMMY, for picking up on the brick in the wall reference. I RESPECT YOU.

I love the dog's reaction to the pretzel.

😂 thank you we’re trying to do better.
If you like another suggestion with a female lead in Metal check out Iwrestledabearonce with the song 'Danger in the Manger'!

"Oh heh, can I haz pretzel? Oh it's Grammy, I love you Graaaam. So no haz pretzel Pops?? Heck!" - Doggo
HAHA I just have to laugh because this reaction would be exactly like me and my wife. Marathon night for you thanks again for another video.
You two crack me up! I like you two together. 😁

Hey, Paz, don't forget "Prologue" and "Beggars Dance".
@@williamduckett3407 oh ...of course...my bad
She writes the lyrics
4:14...she liked that!😋 Jinjer is awesome stuff. Thanks for the reaction.
Grammy needs to listen to 'Bad water' by Jinjer...it has all smooth vocals...then try 'Just another' (live version)
Good reaction but the puppers was the highlight of this :) such a beautiful doggo

"Good evening, kids, take your seats,
Open up your Bibles
I'm gonna chastise some rivals
So keep your eyes wide open
The young soul lost control,
Made her first foul
This is my duty to set the bounds"
She grabbed my hand,
Took me in, placed me in front of the class
She gave a hint I was the clou
Of her mass
I’m in the middle of the Holy of Holies
I have no worries
I saw dusty icons on the wall
I saw needles and stones
So she put a paper bag on my head
She pointed finger at me, and then she said
"Dear Lord, forgive me as I'm slapping
Slapping
Slapping this sinful child
By your hand I'm led so I will show
Show
What is wrong and what is right
Choose your label ’cause I'm mercy
Mercy
Merciful
Put your knuckles on the table,
Meet my friend ferule
Who'll punish you"
When their prejudice let us down
We stand firmly on our ground
Don't let their school make a fool of you
Because the teachers may be fools too
When their prejudice let us down
We stand firmly on our ground
Don't let their school make a fool of you
Because the teachers may be fools too
Laws chalked on the blackboard
Can't be erased until it gets boring
The lady spoke and then she choked
On the convictions oh so alluring
She made a pause
In her verbal overdose
My paper bag slipped down on the floor
I took a look around, there was no sanctuary
Desks empty, the school was all imaginary, ah
Teacher, teacher!
Self-proclaimed preacher
Under the flag of welfare
Your lectures start to blare
We need no soap shoved down our throats
So keep your monologues unrated and remote
I am a bad example of order

King Diamond - Sleepless Nights (live at the Fillmore) You two are great! Keep it up.

I feel like most reactors ignore how fucking good the band is and only focus on the singer.
If you guys liked this, I always recommend people listen to some of their early stuff, scissors is a personal favorite. Don't look up the official one, look up the one from bestiarium it's probably my favorite stuff they've done.
love you already...subbed.
react Jinjer - Perennial
hehe Grammy leans in closer to the screen to hear better

Don't encourage him to bite the pretzel! It sounds like a explosion going off on the mic! 😂
Banderezz Tony LaPore lol. Who do we have to thank for the iconic pretzel? lol
I Speak Astronomy would be good probably. The live version from Summerbreeze 2018 is quite impressive.
