With Saban, the norms got bent. Where is the extra validation on both sides of the ball here. Everybody screamed about ND being in the NC.

The way I see it, Michigan had problems with only two aspects of the game. If they had gotten them fixed, the score may have been different. The aspects were:
1. They could not block Alabama.
2. They could not tackle Alabama.

Early on, I loved MI for their uniforms, Keith Jackson calling the games, their stadium. After dumb and dumber (Bo and Jim) blew the game at Champagne in 84 (3-3) and their season, I said F MI and never looked back.

If you have a substantial number of coaches and/or players (especially starters) leaving due to transfers, graduation, or the NFL draft they will predict the team to be weaker the upcoming season. Considering LSU just lost almost everything that gave them the most impressive single season ever they probably won't start 2020 at #1.

I understand history and the lore of Michigan football, been a fan since a youngster (now almost 60), but when push comes to shove, you have to stand up and be the man. Michigan football has not done that for too long, time to stand up, shut your mouth, forget any excuse's and take care of business. When you finally understand you are no longer in the "elite" status, you need to re-evaluate the reasons why and fix those issue's. The world is right when Michigan football is a power house looking to win a NT. Jim Harbaugh needs to hire assistant coach's that can RECRUIT, focus on the Mich., Ohio, Penn. area, forget national. I WANT Mich. to be toe to toe with Alabama, OSU, Clemson, and any other top football program.

first time I ever heard the sec chant was toward end of this game. the sec is the dynasty conference n has been for years. big ten shut out in last 2 playoff games. unless one goes undefeated this year, the big ten will not be included in playoff. @ globalicon2012. ALA hasn't poached any B10 players as the vast majority of the Crimson Tide roster are from the South. If anything, it's the B10 that gets their players from the South. ALA's current roster has ZERO players from Ohio, Mich, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska & Wisconsin and about 8-9 players total from ILL, IND, MD, NJ & PA. Most of the ALA roster is composed of players from ALA, GA, LA, FLA, MISS, SC & TENN. GA has 89 players from the state of Georgia, but only 6 from B10 states. LSU has 63 players from Louisiana & only a few from B10 states. For comparison Ohio State has 63 players from Ohio & over 30 players from SEC states. Mich also has over 30 players from SEC states. note: most rosters will list over 100 players, but each team is only allotted a max of 85 scholarships.

Yeah, don't wet your pants with jubilation, this isn't exactly the Bama hype video to get stoked on, this was the first loss by Michigan to alabama, that started the tilt the total wins category into evening and out, the record now is 3-3, Brady Hoke was the first to allow it to slide and Jim followed right behind him with his loss for the regular season game after this, because during the BCS era, wherever you played in the bowl game, you drew is your first non-conference game.
Saban stuck it to Michigan again, evening it out to what it is now.
