There's alot of cleaning systems that happen before it even hits the rotors, that's a nice system

There sure is a lot of moving parts on those newer combines. The internal components kinda remind me of a gold wash-plant lol Nice explanation!

I remember seeing the conventional cylinder in front of the rotors years ago when those were new and thinking that makes a lot of sense.

That was cool seeing how it works.

Looks like a feeder beater followed by the cylinder and then the thresher beater. Then they replaced the walkers with rotors. Seems like a super conventional GLEANER hybrids. I have seen them work and work well.

Pretty much! In an emergency I bet you could get John deere cylinder parts to work?!
I like the theory, looks busy but Once you understand how they do it the combine is pretty easy to work on. Amazing capacity per hp.

@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 I rented my ground out this year and the guy has a 570. He had to replace the shaker bushings this year. I guess if they get to worn it will break the shaker arms.

    Pretty cool!!
Seems like a lot of belts, but then all the new stuff probably has too many..
    Thanks for the tour!!!!
I always wondered what the inside of one looked like. There was an older one for sale about 50 miles from us, I thought about it, but it's the only one around, came from back east, (probably where you are..lol) and it had some issues they never could get fixed.
Chose to stick with the old 1480... Rather than take on someone else's problem.
Probably think harder about it, but the closest dealer doesn't have a clue about them😪

How much of a pain is it to switch that cylinder from high to low speed? Looks to be right behind the dual

About 2 minutes with a cordless impact. Not as easy as my deere but more heavy duty. But i did like thr shear bolt feature of my old deere.

@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 that's not to bad then. That shear has saved me once and it is a nice feature
