    What spookluke missed is how to speed up again. When you tornado spin you slow down, but if you use the reverse tornado you will speed up but instead of moving the front of your car its gonna move the back of it. Some pros use that to avoid bumps of an air dribble for example or speed up the air dribble so the person who challenged is flying through you. I used tornado spins before I watched tutorials and I tried to learn directional and air roll right. It took me a week to get to the level that spookluke is right now.

      u can both speed up and slow down with tornado spins AND reverse tornado spins, the movements are mirrors of each other it all depends on when you do the movement (depends on whether the hood is facing you or the downside). I would like to write down exact adjustments but i use air roll right so it might confuse a lot of people, just go into freeplay and mess around with tornado spins and reverse tornado spins u will figure out whether your car speeds up or slows down when you begin to tornado spin depending on where the hood of your car is (if its facing you the spin will speed you up for example, if ur facing the downside u will slow down etc, reverse tornado spins do the exact same thing but in reverse lol). U can also do slight left or right turns with those reverse tornado spins and tornado spins its pretty useful for air dribbles keeps your boost facing the ball without making a huge turn right/left. I know its an old comment but no tutorial says this and maybe someone will use this knowledge

    • @chasehuber3232
      @chasehuber3232 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This was me for awhile and I wondered why, the main thing is, is repetition (doing the rings maps a lot more than you think you need to) rule of thumb for me was if I thought I was good enough at it and could do rings I would then try to do speed runs. It’s important to really focus on the fundamentals first and have them absolutely nailed down to the point it’s as easy as front flipping. Truth be told it’ll happen when it happens, the important thing is to keep practicing even when you think you have it down, bc it’s easier to think about adjusting doing a rings map vs actual in game play with a lot of other things going on and also having a moving target.

    I learned continuous air rolling around the beginning of last month. For many hours I felt like I was doing what you said, just throwing stones at wall expecting it to work.... Funny thing is, it actually did, it was frustrating though. But every single day I got on leth's map and just continuously air rolled. At first I couldn't even get the first level done. But now I can get to level 20 in under 15 minutes! Forky's video doing leth's rings map was a huge inspiration and just helped me realize that doing it is possible.
    I felt like I was wasting my time for a long time, but after 1-2 weeks of practicing everyday it just started to click. I would say it's definitely a "feel" mechanic, after doing it so much you just FEEL when to move the stick and where to. For those learning it now, just keep at it! You can do it, I understand the difficulty of learning this mechanic. This is not to say I'm 100% efficient at it yet, but most times I can control the ball continuously spinning:)

    • @Adam-zo7nz

      So are you saying you can just keep aimlessly spinning with air roll and still eventually pick it up because muscle memory will set in? Or did you at least have an idea of how to use it when you began? Like already knowing manual air roll for example?

    • @arzgamingx

      @@dsn. to add to my comment - the same thing goes for turning left and right. Try flying from corner to corner in freeplay first using only the left side of the stick (so never do reverse movements, this is for air roll right), then try to do the same but only use reverse movements so only adjust with the right side of the stick. When you get comfortable at both styles of adjusting (normal adjusting and reverse adjusting) and put it all together on the rings map, ur gonna be amazed at how precisely you can control your car.

    Hey, I am currently champion 2 and I am wondering if I need to learn to use a directional air roll bind. Is it really worth the time to learn? I am afraid that it will take way too much time to learn. I am also wondering if it is that beneficial as there are a lot of pros who have don't use it either.

    I can do this for rings and free plays but when it comes to games and trying to aerial the ball with DRL I’m always missing the ball even tho I do training maps

    The best way to get the timing down is to stop spinning when you see the back side of your car.

      And look how how he moves his joystick. From bottom right to top right. If you do that you go straight upwards.

    I posted a comment on the previous video saying the best car depends on your camera settings, so I kust wanted to say if you can make a video about this because I want to see your thoughts.

    Would it be possible to make an advanced guide on air dribbling/flip resetting and things to that sort? This video doesn’t do anything for console players, as it is basically “ go in rings and practice “ lol.
    Controlling my car in the air without a ball does nothing anyways. Would be nice to have a video made that actually explains real game moments, when to use air roll left, how to flip reset/dribble with it.

    maybe this is a obvious answer type question but how do you look down while air rolling? do you release air roll to do it or do you move your joy stick in a certain direction?
