Definitely an improvement over the eternal jobber role he's being playing since his inception. Talks himself up about flooding ciries and kingdoms and whatever... and then guys like baraka got his number😂
Ironic that Kronika is mentioned, because Titan Havik is just as stupid, lame, generic, contradictory and lacking in motivation as she was. His Chaos universe is also disappointing, the laws of physics and time being bent meant nothing, the lack of inhibitions was meaningless and the divisions it supposedly created between the heroes meant nothing.
Cyrax is right, Kuai Liang was a jackass for not at least attempting to reach out to the Lin Kuei, especially since he initially erroneously assumed that she was absolutely loyal to Bi-Han. Maybe his anger would make more sense if the Lin Kuei killed anyone other than npcs, like Smoke (since NrS are intent on doing nothing with him anyway) or Kid Hanzo.
@@shahzebhasan9995 Well, his father is quite major. Then, his father's murderer is the grandmaster. It would be kind of hard to contact anyone in the Lin Kuei.
@@shahzebhasan9995 Audiences may not care but, it's the impact of it all. Also, there's a history of MK fandom that killing off a person's favorite playable character just for story purposes has been detrimental. For example, D'Vorah killing Mileena, Baraka and Scorpion.
Except this isn’t actually Rain. It’s some random that we don’t care about and will never be mentioned again. He was designed to be expendable. If it was the real Rain, that’d mean much more. Especially since we know he flooded Seido into this timeline and felt bad about it and wanted to atone. Imagine if Mileena sent him there and he accepted to truly prove his remorse and in the end gave his life for his dimension? Not the best but I’m just spitballing as a non-writer. A lot better than what we got
@@thatoneguy1232 It was Rain, just not the one from our main timeline. Undermining him because he's not from the main timeline doesn't negate that it's Rain. That's like saying Trunks isn't Trunks just because he's not the future version.
I'm sad that Rain and Tanya had to be turned into boring, bland babyfaces in order to finally get good showing, while their more interesting antiheroic counterparts continue to be jobbers. 👎
@sanctuaryBiscuit the way he saw everything through his TV and the ratings from the audience is what made me see him like that. But unlike MOJO in Xmen Havik was able to go all out with death
Zoom into Tanya’s face like the death would impact her character… but just like to us, that rain didn’t mean anything. Why did they drop their weapons when the walls moved…
Neatherealm finally gave Rain and Tanya a proper story compared to the last two games. The two should have always been together too. Havik was a terrible main villain in this dlc. Bring Onaga and Shujinko back.
Bro, Den, I love your lore knowledge, man, and I love your content. Keep the content coming! 👌🏿 👊🏿

Rain Had a Good Story Run

I Agree
You'd think that seeing Rain and Tanya's relationship would affect Sektor more, considering the quasi-absive one she has with Bi-Han

Emperor Rain was the GOAT. He left us too soon...
The maze reminds me of that movie The Running Man.

@arkthompson9869 He's still an offscreen npc with practically no appearances in major Mortal Kombat media. Audiences don't care about him.

Good to see they other characters a chance to shine in this game
“Major Blade” = SONYA!!!???

@@Sungura_Kaiser that’s not Rain. Sorry. It’s some random designed to be expendable.
Thank god that it's not the same rain cause he died within those walls
Haven't heard running man being mentioned for a long time
Love your videos Den, been watching you for years keep up the good work❤️🔥

Tanya is not interesting as an antihero ngl
Rest in peace, Emperor Rain. You were too good to last.
I liked heroic Rain and hope the current timeline version will be redeemed.
Havik has learned way too much from Mojoland in Xmen
I was thinking this!

I sort of wondered what Saw would be like if it was someone like the Joker running things. 😂 Emperor Rain and Empress Tanya were pretty cool.
These cut scene fights are really clever.

If you look at Empress Tanya's design, she does remind me of Taven. Almostsame colors, similar design pattern too

way better 9/10 for this ep. dialog needs to be cleaned up but everything else was on point.

How can he talk with out lips 😭😂😭😂 😊
