Mam the amount of work to get that slab out. A must have is a good concrete saw. I like a hilti with a vacuum attachment for 4 inch slabs. A good vacuum is a must have as well or good chop saw with water attachments.
I foind this channel because i was asked to help grow a young company with 2 men that have no idea ehat they are doing. I have never remodeled many bathrooms but i know how to build and operate pretty much every tool.

I grabbed a used mixer off of marketplace for $100. I've poured close to 100 bags in my basement project now, sure helps a lot with the heavy lifting.

Don’t breathe the dust , at all . Silicosis looks the same as asbestosis on the imagery

Excellent video. Thank you so much. Period. I just found this. I roughed in my plumbing for my basement shower on a flip that I am doing. I backfilled with the gravel and dirt that I dug out to put the plumbing in. Is that going to be OK or do I need to pull that out and put gravel. I am concerned that the mostly dirt and gravel will settle overtime.

Luckily there’s an attached garage, no steps 😊

For tough spots during our landscaping projects, we would fill two 5-gallon buckets 75% of the way with gravel and carry them. Two balances the load. One landscaper I knew used galvanized wash tubs with handles on them to move soil, mulch and stone!

Hi where did you get the foam baord can i get one in home depot or lowes. if it is slab why do you need to have vapor barrier in bottom bcz any case you are going to water seal it with redguard or kerdi membrane.

Yep Home Depot and lowes carry it
And it’s for mostly insulation value for heated flooring 👍

How long do you allow the concrete to cure before the shower pan?

What would you recommend for just a straight up concrete floor? Curbless shower concrete shower floor and bathroom floor all throughout no tile or vinyl on floor?

Water for plumbing basically need 1/8" of fall per foot. Concrete should be slopped to the drain by that much. If you have a 2 foot slope to a drain then it is 2/8" or a 1/4" higher at the begining of the slop to the center of the drain
Water will eventually erode the concrete so you need to use an adequate type of cement or something that won't pit and fall apart after water is constantly hitting it

I am interested to see how you slope the floor leveler.

You could have used the concrete stretcher 'after' you run short

Why didn't you dowel in that curb to the existing concrete? It's going to break off over time. Also, why didnt you use rebar anywhere? On uncompacted gravel, thats going to crack and separate from the exhsting concrete floor

It’s not outside, it’ll be fine. But your points are valid & are better methods
