    “Caicedo not physical enough” iv’e never heard anyone ever say this about Caicedo. If anything he can sometimes be too physical, which is why he gets a lot of yellow cards. Once again, Espn shows their lack of knowledge when it comes to football.

    Poch wanted to keep a couple key players Gallagher and Chalobah. It isn't the worst demand to make to keep 2 of his key players that do in fact fit the clubs profile.
    That said, there was so much more going on behind the scenes than just recruitment. For instance, Clearlake brought in a new set piece coach with their own set piece team, which reportedly will be working from the technical area and not "under" the head coach. The coach for his part, see's his coaching staff as responsible for set pieces et al. This is a clear conflict.
    Clearlake have a certain philosophy that the coach isn't responsible for everything and in fact will not be implementing a system of their choice but instead a system that is imposed by the owners through the directors and in all likelihood, conceived by AI Data analysis.
    There clearly will be friction if they've brought in a coach that wants to retain some sort of control over the team instead of being undermined each and every day.
    Personally, I disagree with Gab & Jules here in regards to Poch and his reputation as I think he's come out of this job with an enhanced reputation. Many Chelsea fans had already had enough of him months ago, some never wanted him and yet, those same fans were being won over by Pochettino in the final few months of the season. I don't see any pundits being critical of Poch, only the owners and directors.

      100% seems like these 2 have Agenda against poch. The club is a shambles. Sure the action is why he is leaving. It’s miracle he got them into 6th he finally got them playing as team even though the squad is un balanced. Also the new owners are clowns 🤡🤡💩💩💩

      He can want whatever he wants but if the boss says the _club_ needs to keep its books in check, then why would you not care?
      Is he managing the team or friends? If those two players were out for 8 months with an injury would Poch quit as well?

    Gab you’re clearly bias in favor of the chelsea board. Poch asking for one or two experienced players or keeping a couple of players doesn’t mean he is trying to “be the boss”. Fact is the owners and SD’s want very little involvement from the “coach” and want to do their own thing.

    Is it really this easy to be a football journalist? Several things you guys might want to fact check before spewing incorrect BS: Madueke's contract is amortized over 8 years, not 5 (the rule change went into effect after he had already signed...), Hall's buyout is already triggered because it was dependant on Newcastle finishing where they did or better so it's a done deal and Maatsen's release clause is already set at £35m so no need to speculate how much he will go for....It will be £35m unless there is a bidding war.

    • @lilbaz8073
      @lilbaz8073 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's not how a release clause works. Anyone that matches the release clause can buy him if he agrees. No matter how many other bidders there are.
      Chelsea can also sell him for less if they want/need to.

    The model for successful modern clubs is strong, dominant managers that guide the team structures... eg. Pep, Klopp, Arteta. It’s ok for clubs like Brighton, but you won’t win trophies at a club that makes managers subservient to the views of sporting directors and owners.

  • @recchietted
    @recchietted 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    There is nothing wrong with the managers the new owners had so far. They were all good managers. They are the problem, clueless about running a football club and not prepared to step back and let the experts run footballing matters. Pochettino had given the team a backbone. Connor Gallagher was part of that and now they want to sell him?? Utter lunacy!!

    I will the 1st to admit I thought poch appointment was another wrong decision by the Americans. Throughout most of the season I felt I was right. However the way we ended the season, the improved chemistry and desire of the team with poch actually seemingly improving his tactics and in game management I felt letting his contract run for another season was the right thing to do with the lack of amazing options to replace him.
    I think poch wasn't given control over transfers and having built a strong Chobham spine in the team with players like chalobah and Connor who sadly might be sold he saw it as a loss cause. We should keep chalobah as he is a our best defender and Gallagher who has been our most consistent cm.
    Not even able to pick from a full squad there was potential.there to really push on. This is the tuchel sacking all over again and the Potter hiring scenario cycle in full swing. The American owners have again shown they are a hindrance along with the UK government.

Every now and then he’ll have a nice pass but I need more from someone that expensive. He made the injury excuse, if you on the pitch you can’t use an injury as an excuse. The Chelsea brass have lost the rabbit mind. The players need a coach THEY WANT TO FIGHT FOR! And Poch was giving them hope and they loved him. Absolute bollocks, where has Poch been 'the guy’ to define him as someone that likes to be 'the guy &/ my way or nothing'?! This is someone that has about 5yrs under Daniel Levy Spurs & 2yrs under a PSG in his last two jobs (a combined more than half his managerial career).. Where has he ever been 'the guy' to claim that as a trait of his or assume that was what he wanted?
    The real culprits of the mess that is Chelsea football club are being shielded. Talk about trusting a process by people who haven't shown any trust &/ faith in their own process &/ decisions.

    There is nothing complicated here on why Chelsea fired Pochettino. People talk about those last 5 games, but in those last 5 games Pochettino was forced to make the changes he did to that team that was winning because of injuries. If not for the injuries he would not have made them. Madueke has been there all season, but he kept him on the bench. As for the players wanting to take penalties, Pochettino threw Madueke and Jackson under the bus who were following his orders that he explained in two press conferences that the player confident to take the penalty should take it and that Palmer was not the penalty taker. You also have Enzo a world cup midfielder, Caicedo a player all the top teams wanted and Sterling the highest scoring winger in Premier League history if you exclude penalties all bought for these reasons in a fight against the top teams and not being provided a platform to produce what they have shown they are capable of under Pochettino's management. of the last 5 games, 2 were won because of one of these players being brought off the bench to save Pochettino from failing to win and the last game was won because of that same player he had been keeping on the bench in games before who only played because the player Pochettino wanted to play was injured following a concussion. This all sounds like disorganisation to me and a team that has achieved what it has not because of, but despite Pochettino's management and more could have and should have been achieved this season if he was a better manager of what was in front of him. What would Abramavich have done? Pretty much the same thing this Chelsea management have done. It's the right call. Peace and love

      @@Mal_Freeman0451 My point is clear. Pochettino did not have a clue. His best changes were made not because he wanted them, but because he was forced to by injuries and so they took place very late in the season. Too late. He seemed more worried about what the paper/ media would say when selecting the team, unlike top managers. Through the players under the in the penalty taking controversy. Could not create a platform for proven great players in Enzo, Sterling and Caeciado to perform. Only just managed to make European competition gaining only scraps of what was wanted. Next season he would have faced the same question and challenges he failed to address this season with the players back from injury. A future with Poch does not look good. Peace and love
