Thanks Kenny another great review. I bought a Stoeger Suppressor years ago and it would not group regardless of pellet or hold I got so frustrated I sold it. Looks like nothings changed I would never buy another Stoeger. My Trail np 1 however is a keeper.. fantastic gun. Keep up the good work cheers.
I bought one of the break barrel .22 stoeger acouple weeks ago and im very pleased with it. the suppressor works very well you hear the spring action quit loudly though which defeats the point really. a good gun for reasonable money (£140)
ive just got a stoeger supperssor gas ram in .i77 cal , i have only put around 50 pellets through it ,but im well impressed, give me a few weeks or so ,as ive been shooting for nearly 40 years, airgun and shotgun see yousoon ,cotty
ive had my stoeger atac suppresser gas ram for about 3 months now, after 5 days the lense on the scope came loose, took it back to shop ,they put a new one on no problem, then one of the scres miss threaded, took it back again, but they said it was my own fault for over tightening it, so I went to another gun shop and bought a set of mounts with allen key screws , by sportmatch, and a new scope, a hawke 4 to10 x50 ir, illuminated recticle, the scope was 80 quid, the mounts were 18 quid, it has made a big improvement on accuracy, and overall feel to the gun, so if you do buy one then I would recommend getting a better scope ,as I think for 220 quid ,they have put a sub standard stoeger scope on it for the price, but as for the gun itself ,I cant fault it as im getting some really good groups at 30 to 40 metres, due to the new scope and mounts, ive had 3 grey squirrels and 4 woodies in the woods near to where I live, from ranges at 20 to 40 metres no problem, the more I use it the more I like the gun overall, but if you do buy one I would recommend changing the scope as soon as possible, but for 220 quid for a gas ram rifle with scope you cant go wrong, I love my stoeger now, keep hunting ,talk again soon ,cotty, oh by the way I use daystate rangemaster pellets in 177 calibre, I would never go back to a 22 again, much more accurate, penetration at longer ranges, bye for now, cotty
its in meters Kenny due to Stoegers a european company Italian , i believe, triggers are not great, supressor causes tumbling pellets, thinking of removing mine , the rear butt pad spacer has slots both sides to attachh a sling, the but stock hook is too enable you to pull in the stock really tightly, also a comfable position to shoot from, shame havent fixed the suppressors problems yet ?
Thanks so much for the work you do on these reviews!! What looks good isn't always good!!!! Think I will look hard between the Hatsan 125 sniper in .22 or the Umerex Octane .22 Thanks again John
Hey bud, great review. This gun sounds pretty quiet. I'm looking to buy a solid gun but also the most quiet one. I like the Benjamin Trail NP mostly but i'm wondering if you know any other options that are more quiet? Thanks for you time and you videos! Cheers, Matt
here is alist of the guns i have owned over the last 35years or so,a crossman 766 in 177, crossman 2200 magnum 22, i allways favoured the 22 ,due to my dads input, i decided to change to 177 as i was hitting many vermin over the years to see the fly off in a puff of feathers ect, i bought a brand new bsa murcury in177 cal, using open sights that i never zeroedin ever, i could snap a matchstick from my bedroom window over 35 yards every time with open sights ,that was back in the 1980,s ive used a 177 ever since for hunting and targets in my parents garden, i will let you know how i get on with the stoeger atac gasram in a few weeks time, that is if my parents dont mind, thanks mum and dad
The hatsan sniper series 125, 85 vortex with integral silencer is a way better put together gun and waaay quieter for those asking about it. Way better power with real world fps data with lead pellets and the vortex gas ram blows away even the nitro piston. The hatsan snipers outperform almost across the board while staying much quieter.
Got my atac around 3 dys ago, got it zerod in hD no problems with tumbling pellets and can get 5 shot groups covering a 1 pence piece just from standing position, Lso tried with a beanie cushion and was VERY accurate, pellets I was user were the verminpell, worked well had a fair Mount of pigeons and the rabbits are going down nicely! All round it I I they have sorted the pellet tumbling issue now and my personal opinion is that they have fixed the issues and is now shooting excellent! Just a heads up for guys thinking of buying! I highly recommend.
However Beware of the scopes. The Scope That Comes With the Gun is actually a 4-16-40.. BUT it is not spring gun capable. and after u fire 300+ pellets through your rifle,. the lens on the inside of the scope is sure to fall out through ware and tear.. i went and bout a hawke 3-9x50 and it is working fine now.
@@MikehPVR hi, i know, its 7y ago. I bought this rifle and when i zero in the scope at 14yards, then i get a 1inch group but two or three shoots go anywhere. The next day i shoot i have to zero in again because the same pellets land somewhere else. Im really frustrated with this gun. I think about buying a hw95l, do you think thats a better rifle or am i such a bad shooter?
Ken thank you for the review, I was inclined towards the .177 cal version of this unit but just by seeing this review I think that I should just wait a while to see if they fix the silencer issue with this gun because I am sure that the .177 has the same problem. I have the trail np but aside from a heavy trigger pull it is a very good unit too.
Yea I keep hearing about it and possibly for this upcoming summer I may order it, I am currently saving up for the FX verminator and that baby sucked every penny on me.
So I have the stoeger atac S2 in .22 and I have to say the rifle to hold cock and fire is beautiful and with the way the but is designed it makes it really easy to keep the rifle on point. BUT that’s where the good ends I find the scope it’s self isn’t very good quality and that once you put 200-300 shots down an range you need to completely re zero the rifle now I thought this was just me but after watching reviews and speaking to friends with the same rifle it’s a common problems. Another thing I have found is once zeroed I can have 2-3 good grips of about ten the 2-3 shit groups with no changes made to the rifle. I find it looks and feels good but shoots very inconsistent and inaccurate
I have a 3 month old Stoeger ATAC S2, The scope is better but that is where improvements end. They have done the same thing that the US military did to the M-4 carbine and now complain about range and accuracy. 13 inch barell??really?? This high tech pellet rifle is out gunned by my wife's Crosman 1077. And after taking a cleaning brush on a cordless drill through the barrel of my neighbors Benjamin to get the rust out, his Benjamin is more accurate than my Stoeger. Now I find that Stoeger only has the ATAC, a short kids starter and a pellet pistol. I cannot find a longer replacement barrel without the suppressor any where. The Chinese who build the ATAC do not follow Stoeger's own parts sheet, the gas ram was turned end for end. Even after removing and blue Locktite resetting every screw, doing a RC bearing job to the trigger and trying a half dozen different pellets gave 2.5 to 3 inch groups at 30 yards.
Hi again and sorry for my english again hahaha soon I will renew my air rifle and am among the atac stoegger and umarex octane. which do you think is more convenient in terms of precision and quality?
The Octane has more power and the ATAC has a better stock. The Octane is more accurate shooting from the Rest position. I had to use Bipods to get a good group with the ATAC.
Yes it would, I have one; I have killed a stray dog which ran into my ranch with it before, it will kill small-medium sized game given you have good shot placement.
i was gonna get this rife but now i dont think so. What do you think about the BSA lightning tactical? kinda spendy but thier supposed to be real nice.
I'm torn between two guns I want to buy with Christmas money. I either want this one in .177 or a Benjamin trail np .177. Which one do you think I should get? Thanks.
Hey Kenny still looking for a 22cal Magnum break barrel, the closest I can fined is the hatsan 95 or the hatsan 135 but the 135 is heavy. Do you have any suggestions. I didn't like the xicios 28 very much compared to hatsan.
The stock is cut that way so that you can tuck your opposite hand under the stock when you are shooting from a bench. Nice review by the way.
Thank you I was kinda leaning towards that one too.
I bought one of the break barrel .22 stoeger acouple weeks ago and im very pleased with it.

Annie Wade do you need a license for this gun in the UK?
RenderingImpossibilities - VFX Artist, Product Reviews & Film Maker Yes.
myairgunreviews*cries* fuck you government xD
I just don't understand how something so powerful is so cheap compared to most springers out there...
the weight is perfect it makes it much more accurate than a light pellet gun

Rubbish.
Definitely hatsan is better I have both too
The stock is that way so you can put your hand there to shoot for more comfort and stability

MikehPVR Could you just expand on the tumbling issue? How do I check for it and how is it resolved?
took mine back to the shop and just bought an hw100Kt.22 best option. stoegers are shit.
Justin Fielding I think it was caused by cleaning the barrel the wrong way. I had no such problem with the X20S.

The Stoeger X20S has the same Silencer in .177 and it worked fine.
Thank you Ken, but I went with the Hammerli pnuema in .177 with an aftermarket moderator does the job pretty good too!
get a GRT III trigger for the trail and you'll be in good shape.
Yea I keep hearing about it and possibly for this upcoming summer I may order it, I am currently saving up for the FX verminator and that baby sucked every penny on me.
Miguel Diaz Yea you gotta get the GRT III. You're gonna wonder why you waited so long.

Hi,rifle good?, sight not break?
It's kind of expensive for what you get. Sights work OK.
f rfrfz wtyf dbynjdrb e dfc?
Is the Stoeger A30 basically the same except for the stock and suppressor?
+Enrique Pabalate Same power rating.
Thanks
Is the stock Ambidextrous ?? What is the price??
Yes. $259.95.

myairgunreviews thanks i´m going for the umarex :D
would this rifle be ok to take down such things as rabbits with lead 22 pellets?
+titan munro Yes.

i was gonna get this rife but now i dont think so. What do you think about the BSA lightning tactical? kinda spendy but thier supposed to be real nice.
BSA is accurate but kind of low power for critters.
hi, so do you think by using heavier pellets, that it won't tumble so much ? or what grains do you recommend for best accuracy?
Each gun will be a little different. This gun was tumbling 18.21 grain pellets and it really doesn't have enough power to use anything much heavier.
so 15.89 grains should be ok i guess (jsb exact jumbo)
myairgunreviews
or not ?
The stock design was so that you can pull the stock into your shoulder, not to hang it from a tree.
do you know what gas ram is used in this gun.
It is Stoegers own design.
Still coming back in 2025
I'm torn between two guns I want to buy with Christmas money. I either want this one in .177 or a Benjamin trail np .177. Which one do you think I should get? Thanks.

what's the type of your scope and is ti possbile to be found in europe?
Nik K. Stoeger OEM. Comes with the rifle.
myairgunreviews in my country (Greece) scopes are illegal so is there any site that i can buy that scope or something simmiral to that scope?
Nik K. Walmart or Amazon.com. CenterPoint 4-16x40 AO/MD/IR Scope for $69.97 American.
myairgunreviews ty man it's an awesome gun by the way *.*
Geez maybe the Scope is in metres because most of the world uses the metric system.

After reviewing the Gamo Big Cat 1400, I guess I could recommend the Gamo Varmint Hunter HP .22 Cal if a spring piston is okay.
OK I will check them out
