yeah the lost trio thing is so stupid. There is no real connection there at all, the closest thing is that Vanitas' design is sort of similar to repliku. but i think thats just a Darkness thing and not because they actually have any connection at all.
I do not think enough credit was offered to Riku & Mickey. In a world full of Trios, they are the lone duo taking on the world and depression together. I truly believe Mickey is Riku's best friend now and that is worth something.
Donald Goofy and Sora Riku both to be have the same great heart to them. The "Donald no" and Riku in the beach at the end understanding what Sora did and being content with it. That's the good shit that's the heart. That's knowing your bro in such a deep level understanding and knowing what they are doing and I just love it
It seems to me like Axel appears to be mean to Xion and a little gentler to Roxas because he knows she's capable of handling heavier weights. Like, Roxas has demonstrated that he is the superior fighter, but Xion is the one who actively seeks out her origins, makes concrete plans to betray the organization more than once and acts on them, and commands Axel's respect for that. I don't think he's mean to her, I think he respects her capabilities. They both feel the need to baby Roxas a little for the same reason Riku feels the need to baby Sora a bit: Roxas, like Sora, is less willing and able to accept difficult truths. Xion, meanwhile, actively seeks them out and wants to put things right. I truly think Axel loves her and Roxas both, but knows that they have different capabilities. His "meanness" to her in that scene specifically is him saying "you and I both know that you can and have handled worse. I believe in you." Meanwhile, he tells Roxas that knowing the truth isn't always better because, for Roxas, it might not be. This is also specific to Days. I think by KH3 Roxas can handle more than he once could and Xion has too much to manage now.
I love the friendships in this series it is nice to know how much love is in there. I been in this fandom for a long time that any potential romantic ships doesn't affect me.
I think something I would love is a side game set before BBS which is about Aqua and Terra's training, before Ventus is dumped on Eraqus. Just a small little side story about two siblings competing and learning together
I do feel like TAV and SDG are kind of polar opposites in regard to this bracket. TAV almost stands stronger as the individual pairs, where it almost feels wrong to think of SDG as anything other than a trio.
Eraqus and Xehanort is basically KH Naruto and Sasuke (funnily enough, Xehanort’s sprite in early Dark Road looks like Sasuke with white hair and only slightly different clothes)
