Trains in Southport & Merseyside - 06/08/16 (Part 1)

This video is taken a Hillside Station in Southport, here we see Merseyrail Trains in the brand new ad livery.

Nice footage of the merseyrail electrics. Did you know the class 508s started their lives out of London Waterloo before going up to Merseyside in the mid 80s due to the introduction of class 455/9s in London South West suburban and the retirement of class 503s in Merseyside.

Yeah, they were sent away to London for many years before returning to back to Merseyside, I believe one of the Class 508 units uses a trailer coach with one of the Class 455s in London.
