Did you know that the netherlands still gives 20.000 tulips to canada every year to thank them for help in ww2 ( i am from the netherlands btw) please like so he will see it
In 1945, the Dutch royal family sent 100,000 tulip bulbs to Ottawa in gratitude for Canadians having sheltered the future Queen Juliana and her family for the preceding three years during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in the Second World War. The most noteworthy event during their time in Canada was the birth in 1943 of Princess Margriet at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. The maternity ward was temporarily declared to be extraterritorial by the Canadian government, thereby allowing Princess Margriet's citizenship to be solely influenced by her mother's Dutch citizenship.[4][5] In 1946, Juliana sent another 20,500 bulbs requesting that a display be created for the hospital, and promised to send 10,000 more bulbs each year. (for if he sees it x) )
Tulips are not Turkish. They're a flower that grows pretty much all over europe, and even back in the day it grew in europe and asia both. You can't claim a flower you knob.
Fun fact : in WW2 one of our queens (from the netherlands) was born in a canada but because she was a prinses canada made the hospital a dutch place fore a few days so she could become queen this is why the netherlands has a good relation ship with canada :)
Even though we Canadians all learn that, it is a bit of a misnomer. The maternity ward in the hospital was temporarily declared as extraterritorial by the Canadian government, essentially making it an international territory, and not exclusively a part of the Netherlands. This was done so that her nationality was solely Dutch. This was because Canadian law, like most of North America follows 'jus soli', "Right of the soil"...whereas Dutch law follows 'jus sanguinis', "Right of blood". Thus, her heritage would be only Dutch, and not partially Canadian.

I've wanted to visit north central Europe ever since I was a child. The Netherlands holds a special place in my heart because of its relationship to the sea. I greatly admire Dutch culture and the quality of life also. When I am able to take an extendend trip to Europe , this country will be first on my list. I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Tall Ships Festival has been here in Halifax a few times and I always go see the ships and sailors! I remember seeing the Frisian flag flying on a Dutch ship.
@@user2008noknl Halifax's climate is similar to but a little more extreme than the Netherlands. I will take your advice and visit during the spring early summer. I want to see the Netherlands in all its glory! I want to experience each province over multiple visits and over many years.
For part 3: 1. The Netherlands was the first country ever to recognize the birth of the USA in 1776. 2. The Declaration of Independence was crafted after the Plakkaet van Verlaetinghe, the document that declared the Netherlands independent from Spain in 1581. 3. The words "cookie", "stool" "Yankees", "coleslaw", "sea bass" and "Dollar" have Dutch origins. 4. New York was founded by the Dutch. Actually bought from Indians for 60 Guilders 1626. Canal street, Bleecker street and Wall street have Dutch origins.
The Netherlands were also the only country EVER to occupy New York later on when the English did not keep their word. That lasted a bit longer than a year
-Education system (schools, free public transport, the levels) -Healthcare healthinsurance system (obligated, cheap, organized) -Music activities (Dj's, producers, but also arists such as Metropole orchestra etc.) -Softdrugs (tolleration system, kind of illegal but not really) -Dutch culture (complaining, critique, no wasting of time) -Retirement system (automatically done by government) -Cultural diversity (lot's of cultures/no racism, populism controversy growing) -Sinterklaas (Santa Claus was based on the Dutch Sinterklaas, controversy around black piets) -Tax evasion
It is great to hear someone speak so fondly and proudly of The Netherlands as a Dutchie myself. If you ever do a part 3 I would love to see you mention that we actually made an entire province ourselves. The province of Flevoland never existed, we literally took back part of the water estate and made a gigantic island province in the middle of the country.
I live in the netherlands, Rotterdam and you totally forgot about the fact that Dutch people are the tallest in the world and that Rotterdam has (by far) the biggest port of Europe. It even was the biggest port of the world for many years and still is by far the biggest of the whole western world!!
thijmen de Ruiter ik woon naast Rotterdam ik haat het als mensen alleen over Amsterdam praten terwijl Rotterdam ook heel veel dingen heeft die bijzonder zijn en die Amsterdam niet heeft
Don't forget about the 11 cities tour ( a almost 200km ice skeeting trip through friesland, last time was 1997 because of bad winters. Every year when it starts to freeze we are watching ice masters measuring the ice and competing other villages and cities to see who can skate first that year. And the HELL of 1963.)
GREAT VIDEO!!! I live in the Netherlands in Middelburg the capital city of Zeeland. I saw some pictures of my hometown in the video, very much liked to see that! Keep up the great work and if you ask me please make a part 3 about the history like the VOC.
Did you know? Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the third biggest airport in Europe. After Paris and London Heathrow 1. London Heathrow 2. Paris Charles de Gaulle 3. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport 4. Frankfurt Airport 5. Istanbul Atatürk Airport They think that Amsterdam Schiphol Airport wil be in April 2018 the second biggest Airport of Europe.
Holland is the 2nd largest exporter of agricultural produce in the world, in absolute amounts. Dutch agriculture is super hightech with an entire university (Wageningen) dedicated to that field of research. Holland feeds the world. Holland has the largest port in Europe. Before the year 2000 the port of Rotterdam was the largest in the world. Holland is a major exporter of water defense techniques, with heavily specialized companies designing and building vast defense systems all around the world, such as in the southern United States after hurricane Catrina flooded large areas. We're talking about a multi billion dollar industry here. Past inventions: telescope, microscope, Bluetooth, wifi, super conductivity, CD (together with the Japanese), traffic speed camera, red light camera, the single best road and cycling network in the world, the stock market and arguably modern capitalism as a whole. Holland was the early adopter of ideas such as freedom of religion and the ability to climb the social ladder regardless of the status of your parents or family. This led to the old saying in Dutch "arbeid adelt" which roughly translates into "nobility through labor". Centuries ago, in the time of the old European kingdoms, the small free fought Dutch republic was a first step towards modern western society. And the result was an immense pluralistic society that also got exported to other areas with New Amsterdam as a good example. This now leads some American historians to believe that the American melting pot actually originated in The Netherlands. Also the American declaration of independence has a striking resemblence with the Dutch act of abjuration which was written 200 years earlier. Perhaps it's also no surprise that a Dutchman became one of the first American presidents. So yeah the British took over and renamed it New York but the Dutch never left and certainly left a footprint in the new world that can still be seen today.
Good job! Extra fun facts: 1-second biggest food exporter in the world 2-Happiest children in the world 3-Inventor of the lens, microscope, music cassette and cd, first company and company logo (Voc) 4-First stock market 5-oldest flag in the world 6-Inventor of the submarine (1620) and the electric car and 4x4 car 7 Last but not least. Inventor of Bluetooth and WiFi
I think that this is one of the most significant facts that hasn't been mentioned already, but certainly (quite literally) characterizes Dutch ingenuity! Because, as Podgy Cat already mentioned, our twelfth province "Flevoland" exists because it (entirely!) has been "handcrafted" (created) by Dutch engineers. The Netherlands is also renown for being the first country that legalized gay marriage, tolerate selling weed & hasj to it's inhabitants, having our "Red Light District". Also the right to have an abortion and the first country that had a law to allow euthanasia
God created the world, the Dutch created the Netherlands. @Podgy Cat. They made a lot more than just Flevoland th-cam.com/video/Q-gHx7dxLqQ/w-d-xo.html
Dave, from The Netherlands: thank you! Very nice video's. Really great are all those sorts of bicycles - and what we can transport on it, is amazing......a lot of my Canadian family members are looking around and laughing about that! Cycling is so safe: cycling paths every where - so we don't wear helmets. Only on the electric bike I would wear one. This could be a very nice item in your next video. Lots of succes!
It's not like King Willem-Alexander flies on a daily basis for KLM, just every now and then when he has the time so he can maintain his skills and get the required amount of flying hours to remain his flying license, and of course all in consultation with KLM. It's not like he can pop-up at Schiphol airport and demand a jet to have a lil' fun with or fly to Key West for the weekend. His daytime job is King, and that is a harder job than most people think. At night he's a cape wearing crime fighter I've been told, but I'm not too sure of that tbh.... PS: And again; Nice vid, but all the images in it are those of Holland, none of the rest of the country.
The netherlands had war for 80 years and one day exactly against spain, there are festives about the freedom after that in brielle and the recapture of dordrecht is a amazing story you should know (sorry, my english is bad)
The Netherlands had an age that was called the Golden century or the Golden age this is something important aswel because the Netherlands were one of the biggest or maybe even the biggest and richest in those times The Netherlands also found New York (new amsterdam) and you can still see that places in New York are still called the dutch names like Harlem.
Well jou still have some options • No Country Does Water Management Better than the Netherlands • ASML has 80% market share of the photolithography systems for the semiconductor industry. • NXP 14% maintained with its position as the leading vendor of semiconductors, next in line with 11% is Infineon. • Dutch superyacht cluster consolidated leading role with 30% of world market (€ 55 billion in 2016) • The Dutch DJ’s dominates in dance world • Netherlands is Largest Bike Exporter of Europe • Dutch Cheese count for 12.4% world market share, second after Germany with 13.8% • Dutch (Heineken, Bavaria and Amstel) beer counts for 14.4% world market share, second after Mexico with 21.2% • Royal Flora Holland is the World's Biggest Flower auction Market • Netherland has World's Biggest Flower export • 10 billion Dutch flower bulbs a year

dutch music: dj's, a lot festivals (mysteryland, flyingdutch) dutch food: kroket frikandell (frying snacks you can by from a vending machine in a wall "FEBO"), haring (fish) the dutch cheese. stroopwafel (cookies) drop (candy) pepernoten ( cookies with 'Sinterklaas" National holiday dutch tv export suchs as the voice ( of holland) Spoorloos (Find My Family) BIG BROTHER etc. dutch habit to complain about the weather and the public transportation ( train company NS) things that I missed.
The Netherlands has one of the best scholing systems, also were we one of the first to legitimize gay marriage/rights, and you can thank us for the Street Lantern, the Fure Extinguisher, the microscope, Bluetooth and WiFi.
I think it’s great that you look so well into the facts because a lot of things said about the netherlands by other people is not true and this is pretty accurate
I don't think Willem-Alexander really "worked" for KLM as a pilot. I don't think he flew commercial or cargo planes for them. I think he just flew himself and maybe (parts of) his family, which he still does by the way, even while he is the reigning king. He's actually quite cool, he also did the Elfstedentocht which is ROUGH. (look it up, it's a very special event which hasn't taken place in years due to the thinness of the ice)
Nice vid bro! Im actually from Amsterdam. 👍🏻 In part 3, maybe mention our kingsday celebration (formerly known as queensday). This is an annual event where thousands of people from all around the world go out, have fun, drink, dance and celebrate our king.
well i guess you guys need to make a part 3 of my counrty haha. actually while i'm at it you should make sure to talk about the great atrists we had / have like Rembrandt van Rijn and Vincent van Gogh, and maybe the people that sailed the world and discovered a few country's! and ofcourse our DJ's!
fact for part 3: the capital of the Netherlands is Amsterdam. While the government is seated in The Hague (both the parliament and the king). The definition of capital is: "the city or town that is the official seat of government in a country, state, etc." why? I don't even know and I'm Dutch.
Niels van Oosten Because the seat of power. Was in Amsterdam for a small amount of time(I believe when Napolian ruled) then the goverment moved to The Hague but the status stayed with Amsterdam. It's a Dutch thing.
You forgot to mention when talking about trade (Oke imports and exports) that our stock market (The AEX) is the oldest in the world. (Check that on wikipedia or something to be sure). Our country is build on trade, mainly agricultural, so yeah I thought that was an important thing to talk about.
what is also important to know: the newest province of Flevoland. it contains the city of Almere and is expected to become one of the largest cities in the Netherlands. that is also because Almere is so close to Amsterdam. more facts can also be found on the internet. (I am also from the Netherlands and live in Almere.) Like so he sees it.
a couple of small fun facts 1. ever since the beginning, the dutch have battled against the water, and with succes. and since the disaster in 1953, the dutch have spend millions to build a series of Waterdefence mechanisms called the Deltaworks. a series of construction to prevent flooding! Measlandkering, 2 times the size of the eiffeltower. Oosterscheldekering, the largest of all of 13!! constructions, consisting of multiple storm surge barriers! and lets not forget the Afsluitdijk! 2. The Netherlands flourished back in 1588 till 1702. that is known as the golden age. within this time period the dutch dominated the seas and trade, sailing over 2500 ships, which was more than great brittain, portugal and france combined! this time period has made has made a huge mark on The Netherlands in both culture as in trading. (think of Tulips, yeah. they were imported :P ) 3. many of the painters we know today came from this time period. think of Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jan Steen and many more painters showed how The Netherlands must have been looked like within those times. most of those paintings are now being found all over the world. 4. the province of Flevoland is completely man-made and won from the sea! also with the use of those windmills! 5. The Hague officially never got the right to call itself a city. and when it finally did, the title wasn't worth anything. because when king napoleon Bonaparte visited the city, The Netherlands had already switched over to municipalities and so no city or town was better than the other. ;) still, the city officially isn't the capital. but it does take all the functions of any other capital. the government is located there, as well as all the ambassies and the resedence of the King is also in the hague. - the Hague is also called the City of justice and peace. the international court of law is situated here. (war criminals from all over the world will be judged here.) the peace palace is here as well.
In July 17.9 degrees Celsius the hottest temperature?? xD That is not true... Definetely not true. In July it's always around 20 degrees and (in the south) it can be around 35 degrees at its hottest. It can be hot in here, just not as hot as in some other countries. We are a small country with water around us. But our climate makes the heat unbearable... haha. Makes you sweat like an otter. (I just realized that is a Dutch expression...)
He didn't say maximum, he said average mean, which means the average of all daily averages. Apart from the fact that temperature on those hot days can drop dramatically in the night, those 30 degrees top temperatures are relatively rare. We usually see 25 degrees as top temperatures on most days.
My name is Joey there are one or two thing on this list which are a disgrace. From a culinary standpoint the dutch stamppot dishes are rather bland, in taste as well as presentation. Snert is another thing, which looks rather bad. But snert has one specific redeeming quality, it tastes quite good, even though i'm not a fan of it. Now as for those others on the list, most are snacks though.
One more positive about The Netherlands wanna add, I came almost 19 years ago in Netherlands as a refugee and since then never felt that I am treated as none dutch and now I feel it’s my country and I love the people and the culture proud to call my self dutch 👍
The Netherlands were also the first to legalize euthanasia, we also rank first in best European Health Consumer Index (could not find world equivalent) and were the first in Europe to adapt Net Neutrality in law (Chili first worldwide), Also the first country in the world to have nationwide Internet of Things LPWA network coverage with LoRA technology (wireless, unlicensed spectrum) and we rank number 1 in The Good Country Index. ... OK that;s enough boasting for now ;-D
Some funfacts: -the Netherlands actually has 3 oldest cities depending how you look at the definition. Those cities are Maastricht, Voorburg, and Nijmegen (however it's been lately questioned if Heerlen should be on that list too) -The Netherlands has the world's oldest annually pop music festival namely Pinkpop. This festival greeted acts like The Foo Fighers, the Rolling Stones, Rammstein, Robbie Williams and Justin Bieber (what a mistake) on their main stage. The name doesn't come from the colour pink (however that is their theme), nor the singer P!nk (however she has performed there) but from the holiday Pentecost (pinksteren in Dutch) -The Netherlands was the first country in the world to accept gay marriage -The Netherlands is the second most free land in the world (together with Canada) due it's free speech and media.
I'm Dutch and i like these 2 videos about my country! Really accurate! I'm going to watch the other countries as well! Also a nice correction of your pronunciation of the province Friesland! :P
Perhaps talk a little more about the Dutch history, like how they were the founders of Capitalism and also had one of the largest navies in the world at some point in history. Or how they were the first country to recognize America as independant (by accident), etcetera, etcetera.
DentalSpace You do realize that the Netherlands did not found capitalism? I think you got confused with the stock market... And it does not matter that we were the first to recognize the independance of North America since we already lost our influence there by that time...
Whether we more or less invented capitalism directly or indirectly through the stock market or what ever doesn't matter, it's still a fun fact to research and/or discuss for a video. Same goes for the recognition of the United States, which the story behind is amusing. There are many more things (especially great things) about Dutch history that are interesting to discuss, don't you agree?
Morocco was the first to name the US as official country in a trade agreement, the French to recognize their country, but the Dutch unofficialy (by accident) recognized them as country by replying to their flag signal on sea which was seen as a sign of recognition. The US raised their flag, and the Dutch raised theirs in response - thinking it were the English since they didn't recognize the flag completely. Sorry for the bad formulation.
That we can drink water out of the cranes because of the waterfiltering system and 1st place in speaking English as second language.(I am Dutch too how i can speak english as a 13 year old boy TTO double language school) houdoe!
Fun Fact: 4:30 That little spot where someone was filming (where the cannon was standing) is named after my great-uncle, he was a soldier in Market Garden and one of the few Dutch guys to be part of that operation.
Mitchel Schmidt niemand vind het leuk maar ik ben trots op NL en ik laat niets veranderen door alle immigranten die willen allemaal onze cultuur afpakken ik mis vroeger toen zeurde er nog niemand
It barely rains in the Netherlands. Just compare it to the so called ‘sunshine state’ of the USA, aka Florida. It rains almost 3 times as much over there. And England is even worse...
Randy Van Den Heuvel De enigen die tegenwoordig zeuren zijn de zwakbegaafde racisten. Waarom ben jij in de veronderstelling dat immigranten de Nederlandse cultuur willen wijzigen?
Pls next timd include dutch agriculture, even though the netherlands is so small, only the usa produces more crops then the netherlands, also the netherlands have the most innovative agriculture in the world. Farmers jn holland are critisized a lot these days... time for more respect!
Oh and also, in part 1 you talked about The Hague, in dutch: den Haag. This is also not the real name, the city is called S'gravenhage but it is not easy to prenounce so thats why.
Exactly. Just like 's-Hertogenbosch is called Den Bosch for convenience. However English speaking natives (tourists/immigrants) call it Den Bosch as well, so how Den Hague turned into The Hague I don't know. Maybe because it is where our government is seated? But that's strictly a guess.
more like king billy as the name William is a touchy subject in England. king billy was the nickname of William III or William II (their the same person but in England he is known as William II). and that is another thing about the Netherlands xd we have been part of almost anyone's history
The Netherlands (thank for calling it that) has one of the older themeparks in the world called Efteling which is actualy older than Disney's parks. It was founded in 1952. It also was the first park on the mainland of Europ to have an steel rollercoaster. The Netherlands are also famouse for there "white gold". These are aspergus. The surface of the Netherlands has grown in the last 100 years. I dodn't know how much exactly but in the early 20th centry they impoldered a large part of the Souther Sea, now known as The Ijselmeer.

Have you heard of the 4-days marches? It's an annual event in the city of Nijmegen in Gelderland. People from all over the world come there to walk either 30, 40 or 50 kilometers each day for 4 days. Around the marches, the city has parties for the entire week. It's every third week of July. It's awesome. I've heard people call it the Summer Capital of the Netherlands
did you know that the colors red white and blue have a meaning Red = for the people. White = for the church. Blue = for nobility. the colors of the flag that it is now used to be different, when it was orange white and blue, but at that time the queen did not like those colors so she made them red. hence that orange streamer.
J gamezz XXL NL That’s not true at all. The orange banded flag was the monarchists flag. Which was changed from orange-white-blue to red-white-blue because Orange didn’t stand out enough on sea, and because the Netherlands was a republic for a brief period in history.
That is not true Roy Hoeksema. het was oranje blanje blue, maar de verfstof voor het oranje was niet lichtvast en verbleekte te snel. Toen is men overgestapt op Meekrap wat een goed blijvend rood opleverde
and right now we're experiencing a heatwave where temperatures go as high as 38 degrees Celsius, which is pretty high compared to other summers where there are a few days just reaching for that 30 degrees celcius
As province Limburg has the oldest capital city. MAASTRICHT! The Romans build a bridge over the river. The Maas is the river and Tricht means bridge so the capital city name explained. Maastricht ❤️
Roy Craenen I think you have to check Wikipedia. In West MAASTRICHT Belvedere they found human traces of living of 250.000 years old. Maastricht is the oldest continually inhabited city.
Please call our country the Netherlands and not Holland! For a lot of people in the Netherlands it is almost unbearable to listen to.... Holland are 2 provinces in the Netherlands and there are 10 more provinces in the Netherlands...

For part 3:

Sooo cool!!
The Netherlands were also the only country EVER to occupy New York later on when the English did not keep their word. That lasted a bit longer than a year
-Education system (schools, free public transport, the levels)
-Healthcare healthinsurance system (obligated, cheap, organized)
-Music activities (Dj's, producers, but also arists such as Metropole orchestra etc.)
-Softdrugs (tolleration system, kind of illegal but not really)
-Dutch culture (complaining, critique, no wasting of time)
-Retirement system (automatically done by government)
-Cultural diversity (lot's of cultures/no racism, populism controversy growing)
-Sinterklaas (Santa Claus was based on the Dutch Sinterklaas, controversy around black piets)
-Tax evasion

Fun fact in the netherlands they dont sell coffee in a coffeeshop
I never look in coffee shops, I don't like coffee xD

Mola Diver jezus wat een werk😂👌

How about noticing the Rotterdam harbour. One of the largest in Europe and besides that, this is where we all import and export our goods!
*Error* The largest in Europe and one of the largest in the world
The netherlands is also a expert in making land out of water (dutch: inpoldering)
They made Flevoland
@Podgy Cat. They made a lot more than just Flevoland

Thank you again a nice video it’s

I think it’s great that you look so well into the facts because a lot of things said about the netherlands by other people is not true and this is pretty accurate
How can you guys not include Kingsday 😲 I liked i want a third video :)
Hoi Nederlanders, vinden jullie het ook zo grappig hoe hij sommige dingen zegt🤣
I don't think Willem-Alexander really "worked" for KLM as a pilot. I don't think he flew commercial or cargo planes for them. I think he just flew himself and maybe (parts of) his family, which he still does by the way, even while he is the reigning king. He's actually quite cool, he also did the Elfstedentocht which is ROUGH. (look it up, it's a very special event which hasn't taken place in years due to the thinness of the ice)
I'm sorry, but he did commercial flights. I was on one of those flights.
Niels van Oosten
Because the seat of power. Was in Amsterdam for a small amount of time(I believe when Napolian ruled) then the goverment moved to The Hague but the status stayed with Amsterdam.
It's a Dutch thing.
Omdat het zo in de Grondwet staat.
You should mention Flevoland
I’m a simple Dutchmen, i see Netherlands in the title, I click
a couple of small fun facts
1. ever since the beginning, the dutch have battled against the water, and with succes. and since the disaster in 1953, the dutch have spend millions to build a series of Waterdefence mechanisms called the Deltaworks. a series of construction to prevent flooding!
(think of Tulips, yeah. they were imported :P )
3. many of the painters we know today came from this time period. think of Vermeer, Rembrandt van Rijn, Jan Steen and many more painters showed how The Netherlands must have been looked like within those times. most of those paintings are now being found all over the world.
4. the province of Flevoland is completely man-made and won from the sea! also with the use of those windmills!
-
the Hague is also called the City of justice and peace. the international court of law is situated here.
Rosanne Bekker I'm guessing that 17 degrees is the average temperature for the entire 24h day which makes it much warmer than that in the daytime.
Hahaha yuup :D and about the Dutch expression, we will see that through the fingers. xp
He didn't say maximum, he said average mean, which means the average of all daily averages. Apart from the fact that temperature on those hot days can drop dramatically in the night, those 30 degrees top temperatures are relatively rare. We usually see 25 degrees as top temperatures on most days.
It is from 30 years telt. You learnt this on school
It's indeed average, highest is alot higher

My name is Joey there are one or two thing on this list which are a disgrace.
From a culinary standpoint the dutch stamppot dishes are rather bland, in taste as well as presentation.
Snert is another thing, which looks rather bad.
But snert has one specific redeeming quality, it tastes quite good, even though i'm not a fan of it.
Now as for those others on the list, most are snacks though.

The Netherlands was the first country to legalise gay marriage. And don't forget to talk about flevoland!

Some funfacts:
-the Netherlands actually has 3 oldest cities depending how you look at the definition. Those cities are Maastricht, Voorburg, and Nijmegen (however it's been lately questioned if Heerlen should be on that list too)
-The Netherlands has the world's oldest annually pop music festival namely Pinkpop. This festival greeted acts like The Foo Fighers, the Rolling Stones, Rammstein, Robbie Williams and Justin Bieber (what a mistake) on their main stage. The name doesn't come from the colour pink (however that is their theme), nor the singer P!nk (however she has performed there) but from the holiday Pentecost (pinksteren in Dutch)
-The Netherlands was the first country in the world to accept gay marriage
-The Netherlands is the second most free land in the world (together with Canada) due it's free speech and media.
DentalSpace actually morocco was the first country to recognize America as independent. That’s.. dude.. literally everyone on earth knows that.
DentalSpace Adam Smith invented Capitalism and he was British

Oh and also, in part 1 you talked about The Hague, in dutch: den Haag. This is also not the real name, the city is called S'gravenhage but it is not easy to prenounce so thats why.
Some activities to talk about: carnaval, gay pride, wad lopen (or the wadden islands), and the province flevoland is completly made by men.
Exactly. Just like 's-Hertogenbosch is called Den Bosch for convenience. However English speaking natives (tourists/immigrants) call it Den Bosch as well, so how Den Hague turned into The Hague I don't know. Maybe because it is where our government is seated? But that's strictly a guess.
You ever tried to make a non dutch pronounce that Gghhhhgghhhh at the end of Den Haag?
That explains why Haag turned into Hague, but not why Den turned into The, when those same non-dutch can use it for Den Bosch
It is king willem alexander not william😂 but still a good video🤗
Nikki de Ruiter William is de Engelse vertaling van Willem
more like king billy as the name William is a touchy subject in England. king billy was the nickname of William III or William II (their the same person but in England he is known as William II). and that is another thing about the Netherlands xd we have been part of almost anyone's history

Can you plzzz make a part 3, and then tell something about the city Eindhoven, in Noord-Brabant. Nicknamed "The City of Light) in the Netherlands. :D
did you know that the colors red white and blue have a meaning Red = for the people. White = for the church. Blue = for nobility. the colors of the flag that it is now used to be different, when it was orange white and blue, but at that time the queen did not like those colors so she made them red. hence that orange streamer.
but many people don't have any religion nowadays.
Things like that are helpfull to know.
It is also the worlds oldest known tricolor flag.
Erm, die term is later gebruikt door mensen met de term "Oranje, Blanje, Blue".

Yeah we do have them and their delicious! But tbh; they're not that well known over here.

If you do a part 3 you should include the dutch subculture gabber

Also it is said about 100% of the paper money have traces of cocaine on it.
