Glad to see we convergently had similar ideas about a Calgary to Royal Tyrell Museum train. Though my idea would have the line be a high speed rail line (named the Pronghorn line) in my proposed Z-Train (or Zoo Train) system. I should definitely make a map of that system as the revamped zoo would be spread out across the city (hence the need for a Z-Train system) via using up a good chunk of the golf course space that Calgary has. In my system, Prehistoric Planet (the worst part of the zoo) could be replaced by the Royal Tyrell Museum, while the Zoo's current location could only be a massively expanded Botanical Gardens / historical zoo. (For example, Dinny the Dinosaur wouldn't have to be moved & the current Destination Africa buildings would remain intact).
Love this idea, mainly because I love the Royal Tyrrell Museum. I used to live in Calgary and we visited the Museum a few times and each times I absolutely loved it. Not to mention, the location is amazing since the badlands are wonderful to traverse and looking at the hoodoos. Gotta be one of if not my favorite museum (another good one is The Museum of Flight in Seattle/Tukwila). If anyone plans to go to Calgary or Alberta it's more than worth it to go to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and if you're in/near Calgary also check out the Telus Spark Science Center (you can take the C-Train there as the Zoo which has a station inside it is super close. If you're closer to Edmonton their science center is arguably better, but both are amazing).
100% yes. The train that goes around Disneyland (within the park) is a similar concept. They could have left it as a transportation device but no no no, not under Walt Disneys watch! It has stories and a section in a tunnel with dinosaurs!
not only is there a cool dino museum but there’s THE LARGEST DINOSAUR IN THE WORLD AND YOU CAN GO INSIDE !!!!!!!! cooL TRAINS TO COOL PLACES !!! MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE ONE TRAIN AT A TIME
LOL! A video idea so great that NJB did a similar video on his own as a collab with TierZoo as Jason and his son traveled around Europe by train to see some dinosaurs!
Though the "planetarium" train would be cool. Watching the scenery would be better. I think creating a train that looks like an old steam train would be an awesome tourist draw
@@humanecitiesthe baggage carousels have displays and artwork. The Royal Tyrell had two great displays. The first one was a Albertasaurus chasing a duckbill dinosaur. But the best one was a bunch of little velociraptors tearing apart luggage with a feathered boa draping one
Super neat idea! At the same time, I'm kinda hoping they convert the abandoned rail ROW between Lyalta and Drumheller to a paved pathway...eventually being able to cycle on pathways all of the way from Drumheller to Banff!
That would be AMAZING! Of course, we should do both! I'd love to be able to hike/bike across the country with little stops along the way. It'd be an amazing way to see the landscapes.
"It's close to my house. It's only AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES AWAY."
It’s so close!!

Gotta keep it on theme! We need MORE!

Next is a train to Vulcan, Alberta! 🚂 + 🖖 = ♥️

Truly a good combo of interests for a single nerdy video! Liked your idea HC!
I laughed when I saw that video come out 🤣

also easily one of the coolest ideas i’ve ever heard in my life
Thank you 🙏
Does anyone else remember the Royal Tyrrell museum display at the airport?
WHAT?! When was this?

I love this point, who doesn’t love dinosaurs, I know I do. Dinosaurs and trains sound like the best combination possible
RIGHT?! It’s a no-brainer!
4:25 literally got chills this is one of the best ideas I’ve ever heard
Someday, we will ride this train together ♥️
I love your creativity! Since the TO the museum is really part of the experience, the ride back to the city can be local stops to hop on & off-yay!
would make life so much easier!!!! yes!!! pleeeeeeeaaaassseeeee. I WANT TRAINS TO COOL PLACES!!!!
Me too!! Where would you add one?
