I love how there's no amplification on his voice and yet it seems to fill the whole room. I'd be blessed if I could sing with even half of the emotion that he sings with.
this is honestly my favorite song by them. I don't know why it just is. and the amount of emotion he puts into it is absolutely beautiful. I really wish i could do this song justice.
This song is absolutely beautiful, and recently it has described my life perfectly. I love it so much, and in this video, his voice is absolutely heart wrenching. This is an amazing video, thank you so much!
You are quote welcome miss Julia Studer :). I have been listening to their new EP so much since it came it. It helps me sleep a little easier at night :) it was so great seeing them play acoustically and then live :)
Yeah, I am glad you like it. i was so blessed to be able to buy a VIP ticket and see one of my favorite bands. :) They were so good acoustic. I uploaded more videos of their acoustic set if you want to go watch them.
+Aley Rose heck yes! I am a HUGE real friends fan. :) I amde an awful joke saying "if they played shows under the sea, would they be called " eel friends"? haha
There's a difference between using fry because you want it to or because you can't do it without. Last option applies here, he's a really bad live vocalist and is just forcing the notes out.
That's awesome. Just bought an acoustic guitar. I am a bass player, going from holding down 1 string to 2 or 3 is a step up. I am learning, and I need to practice more often .
I believe so, it does sound more raspy/gritty. This was at the end of their headlining tour. So I’m assuming singing all of those shows before made his performance a little bit different. But there’s still so much emotion in it

I feel the same way miss Daphne Poon It was such a blessing to finally meet them and be able to sing and watch them play :)
You can, just feel the music and the poetry behind it all.
His throat it's gonna fell it too
He sings it like he means it i fucken love POP PUNK
True emotion. 'It hurts to know your not alone!'

Lately, my dog is the only one around who listens to my problems.
Try not to cry.
Curl up.
Cry anyway.

Thank you for sharing my video miss Hannah Deuel. You are an awesome friend :)
His voice is so fucking perfect and passionate. I just love this band so much.
this is honestly my favorite song by them. I don't know why it just is. and the amount of emotion he puts into it is absolutely beautiful. I really wish i could do this song justice.
Such emotion. Love it. Love the song and band. Really great performance
I love this song live it's so much better in my opinion
That's awesome. They were so good love :) I loved seeing them acoustic. It was so great.
Can't wait to see them at Warped this year - it is going to be awesome
gahd the way he sings every single word damn feels
This song is absolutely beautiful, and recently it has described my life perfectly. I love it so much, and in this video, his voice is absolutely heart wrenching. This is an amazing video, thank you so much!

Good I'm not the only one that fan girled about that
I was honestly relating to this a lot when they played this. Whoa
Yeah, I am glad you like it. i was so blessed to be able to buy a VIP ticket and see one of my favorite bands. :) They were so good acoustic. I uploaded more videos of their acoustic set if you want to go watch them.
Yeah man, it's a beautiful song. They put on such a great show .
I like how he randomly takes a sip of water haha. Beautiful song. Great video!
Thank you for sharing my video :). And yeah, he had a good amount of water. His voice was a little scratchy from playing shows prior to this show :)
Still sounded great! :)
Thank you :). Did you know they have a new record coming out this summer? I am so pumped!!
Miguel Ramirez wait really? they're one of my favorite bands. that'd so so cool.
Yes, they are also one of my favorite bands. I have all of their albums, even some of them songs that Dan did guest vocals on :)

Awh, wow. That's rad then! :-)
+Aley Rose heck yes! I am a HUGE real friends fan. :) I amde an awful joke saying "if they played shows under the sea, would they be called " eel friends"? haha
its been a lonely year indeed :((
So rad
thank you Matt Hancox They are my favorite band :)
Lack of singing skill plus emotion equals real friends.. still better than some of the pros.
the feels. this is going on my tumblr stat!
Thank you miss Erica Kostiuk :)
Seems like everyone is wearing Citizen shirts now XD
is it me of does dan sound like hes super straining his voice? :( I hate when that happens :/ sucks when you're unable to sing from so much over use
It's called a vocal fry. It's something that a lot of punk/emo vocalists use to give their voice this really grungy sound.
There's a difference between using fry because you want it to or because you can't do it without.
Last option applies here, he's a really bad live vocalist and is just forcing the notes out.
anybody know the tuning for this?
I'm sorry man, I don't. I did see them change the tuning before they played this song.
I think it's Drop D.
Miss Amy Kerchner you play guitar?
Yep!
That's awesome. Just bought an acoustic guitar. I am a bass player, going from holding down 1 string to 2 or 3 is a step up. I am learning, and I need to practice more often .
is his voice damaged or something?
I believe so, it does sound more raspy/gritty. This was at the end of their headlining tour. So I’m assuming singing all of those shows before made his performance a little bit different. But there’s still so much emotion in it
You can't sing like this and keep it up over the years.
i love them wtfwtwgwggwjdj
Dat Neck doe
*goosbumps*
emotion or lack of singing ability?
A well balanced mixture of both
Lack of singing ability
Jesus, he sings horrible live.
