    When you use Flat picture profile please set sharpness to 0. Higher sharpenning looks really bad in Z6 video. You can do it easly in post.

    Hey Greg! Great video! For your flat profile, what other mods did you make to it to make it flatter? Did you use curves?

    You can make yourself an even "flatter" custom picture control in Nikon's Picture Control Utility 2 software and then load it into your camera.

    • @ohmygreg
      @ohmygreg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It took me 3 months to choose what camera brand I wanted hahaha. The Nikon colors are so amazing in photo and video! Plus with an atomos ninja V you can unlock raw recording. I think it's just a question of time before Nikon takes over the video since they don't have any cinema cameras of their own to compete with .

    i constantly switch frame rates, but hate having to change the shutter speed to maintain the 2x rule (25fps = 1/50sec). can you customize the function buttons to switch both the frame rate and the shutter speed simultaneousy? for example can i have Func button 1 do 24fps, 1/50sec and func button 2 do 30fps 1/60sec?

      No problem! I'm glad that my video helped you out! 😃

    • @ohmygreg
      @ohmygreg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they are both based on the mpeg-4 codec. But the MOV files are higher in quality and size where as the MP4 files are more compressed.

    • @DmitrysGarage
      @DmitrysGarage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ohmygreg MOV and MP4 are containers. They don't determine the quality of the audio and video they contain. The video quality is determined by the video codec and the audio quality by the audio codec. Using identical codecs with identical settings yields identical image quality and compression regardless of the container. The main advantages to various containers (there are many) are software and codec compatibility. Not all software supports all container formats. Not all containers support the same A/V codecs. However MOV and MP4 share most relevant codecs (i.e. h264, h265, aac, ac3, etc...) and are widely supported by various software. If you're getting differences in image quality it's because your transcoding/rendering settings are inconsistent between them or it's a limitation of your software.

    How to record Raw footage...~??~

    • @ohmygreg
      @ohmygreg  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To record RAW with the z6 you need an Atomos Ninja V and you’ll also need to send your camera to Nikon to get the firmware update. After that you be able to record in ProRes RAW :)
