People fail to talk about the mid torso hinge meant for transformation every time. If you use it as an ab crunch, take a photo of it in a perspective where you don't see the joint, it looks amazing.
The AGE kits have surprisingly AGED pretty well. I have built the Titus and the FX and they have been great HG kits, despite their AGE. Hoping that they give the series some more love and re-release more of the other MG's since all I seem to be able to find is the the AGE-1 Normal and the AGE-2 Normal and Dark Hound.

This, the Double Bullet, and especially the Dark Hound are great Gundam AGE designs. They may be quite "old," but they still hold up really well. Among the AGE-2 kits, IMO the Dark Hound is the best among them.
The shoulder structure with the internal ring should have been kept for the Magnum. The stability in MS mode is much better with the AGE era kits with that assembly since it stops the shoulders from dropping down when you’re posing it Also, ‘requires partsformation’ isn’t 100% accurate since you can technically transform to strider mode without the extender, it’s just more cramped
Just got this guy a few weeks back to accompany my old AGE-1, was a really good build for it's time. Broke the tiny lil stopper in the wing segment so they have more movement in em. Not sure why they put it there though, hinders dynamic possibility options more than anything.
AGE- 2 Normal is cool but imo, the AGE-2 Magnum just BLOWS it out of the park. Especially the SV Version. The transformation looks even more complete with how the rifle on the Magnum ACTUALLY hides the head in wave ride mode
Kinda forgot one step for parts-forming into Strider Mode: folding the hip skirt fin down after it had been folded forward. Thanks for showing me what I have to look forward for my future build before I customize it.
The HG AGE kits are super solid in every sense of the word. All the ones I got are still doing extremely well all these years later (age-2, gbouncer, Zeydra, FX, Legilis)
The added bulk of the Age II Magnum SV puts it above the base kit. That said, I really hate the look of the Magnum's wings, and would love a mashup of the SV with the original Age II's wings.
Though I don't typically buy HG kits, 1 exception is the HG AGE series. That's currently the only HG series that I collect and it's mainly due to how good they are. I only wish that we got an updated HG 00 series that was at least to this level of quality.

I've built almost every AGE HG that's currently available (saving my Dark Hound for a special occasion).
Yeah I also didn't have that much Of a liking to the age kits but I bought a couple(dark hound and jackedge)and I really liked them it's a shame these kits sold poorly when they first came out
Having just completed the HG Age 1 Normal the other day i wholeheartedly agree that the build is ridiculously solid, and the plastic used is something else entirely. Its ability to pose, and articulate are phenomenal in comparison to other kits of it's general price point. I have a new respect, and motivation to build more of the AGE kits. This one looks fantastic as well.
Ever since I picked up the HG Age 1 Normal, I immediately decided to get any HG age kit I could. I wish they would reprint or ship some more of the Age grunts over to the states. They’re either super hard to find/get ahold of or ridiculously expensive when you do find them. Hell, I wish I had grabbed another Age 1 back when they were available. The only kits I’ve managed to get are the three main suits, Age 1 through Age 3 Normal, and the Age 1 Full Glansa. The most HG Age you typically see now are just the HG Age 3 Normal. I’ve had it for a while.
Of all the age gundams, age 2 is my personal favorite because not only is it well designed, but it does just enough for it to standout from the zeta gundam and be it's own (as age 1 and age 3 invites comparisons to the RX 78-2 and ZZ)

I've got it for years. Still good till now. Maybe that's why kujo kyouya use this a his base gundam customization. It can compete with kyrios and wing gundam tv.

It wouldn't be too hard to modify this so the knee pad moves with the middle joint. Just a saw and some glue, maybe a bit of plastic from a runner so the knee is at the right place.
It would be nice if you put it along withe the hgbd age 2 magnum side-by-side. And probably the articulation should be skipped since the age 2 magnum share the same design just a color swap.... btw I just noticed no parts randomly drop-off during the articulation.

The Federation kits had amazing posability, but the Vagan suits had lackluster articulation despite their designs.
I was hoping the RG Hi-Nu Mega Bazooka was today's review, but this is cool too. By far the coolest canon AGE design imo.

Gundam age is one of my favorite Gundam series especially because of Asemi Asuno. I also like the passing the torch aspect.

I love ALL the AGE-2 builds. So much so that my prime kitbash merges the Victory Gundam with the AGE-2 Magnum. I call it the Gundam Malibu.

Worth noting, bokksu is awesome and well worth a try, but that competition is only available for those in the US.
To say the MG's legs were a little wonky was an understatement!
The AGE-2 Normal is definitely one of my favorite Gundam designs... especially once it gets repainted in its "Special Forces" colors. :)

love that the four main AGE Gundams are homages to the early U.C. Gundams:
Age-1 = RX-78-2, Age-2 = Zeta, Age-3 = ZZ, Age-FX = Nu

I have the Age 2 Magnum, (same transformation process) and we can simply transform the kit without replacing the hip part
