    Jim Trotter is the Jussie Smollett of sports journalism. He accused Pegula of racist comments. He accused Jerry Jones of the same. He offered no proof in either case. And, like with Juicy, the whole thing is unbelievable. Even if Jones and Pegula felt that way, why would they say it in front of Trotter, a reporter who was really well known for being obsessed with racial topics? It's like Juicy's story about guys wandering around Chicago in the middle of the night, in a polar vortex with MAGA hats and bleach. It's laughably silly.

      That was bad enough, but the fact Alyssa went with that instead of Adelphi/Rigas family is simply unforgivable and totally kills her credibility. It was literally the worst financial crime in American history and led to the team not being able to pay its players, if not for Golisano stepping in at the eleventh hour and rescuing the team they would've went to the wall.

      @@mikecarroll35 If I had known about the incident, I would have definitely covered it. Sounds like a good video topic waiting to happen. I guess I could have researched Jim Trotter's reputation further before talking about. However, we all make mistakes. Thank you for watching.

    Sometimes I'll tell someone that I am no longer a Blackhawks fan because the of the Kyle Beech scandal. This is often met with a "he was an adult man. He could and should have prevented that," or some similar sentiment. What these people almost always forget is that, in sweeping Aldrich under the rug, the Chicago Blackhawks management allowed him to continue coaching. He went on to molest at least two young players in youth hockey before the story broke. Kyle Beech may have been an adult man, capable of deterring Aldrich's advances, but those children were indefensible. If management would have taken the allegations more seriously, children would have never been sexually abused. Straight up a move from the Catholic Church playbook. I'll watch Connor Bedard, but I'll never call myself a Blackhawks fan until the Wirtz family steps aside.

      I might be a Leafs fan, but I am hoping to get jerseys & hats for all the teams, and likewise, until that happens, I'm holding off on getting any Chicago gear.

      So glad I was forced to watch the Blues. Had I been a lifelong hawks fan, the Beach Scandal would have drove me to stop watching hockey..
      So many of those playoff runs (except 2014) which were fun to watch back in the day are now forever tainted. The lifelong memories of so many Hawk fans are forever marred by those detestable acts. It makes me sick to the core.

      @@thecat627 There's a recent documentary that talks about how Jonathon Toews saved the Blackhawks. That too is ruined because Stan Bowman and the other higher ups elected to sweep the incident under the rug instead of addressing it at any time during the 2010 off-season (I would have probably still kept it on the down low during the playoffs because of the Blackhawks' run but once the playoffs were done, maybe during the entry draft or between the draft and Free Agency, fire Aldrich and report him to the Chicago police instead of letting him walk on his own and giving him letters of recommendations, thus putting other hockey players at the same risk as Beach).

      Just to add. So Gilmour was traded to Flames because of the incident with the Blues babysitter. A few years later the trade from the Flames and Leafs. Supposedly Gilmour had an "incident' with his babysitter, Flames GM Doug Risebrough's daughter. In Toronto he settled with his wife and two kids. Quickly though he was involved with "Amy", who he later married. She was 18 years of age (an usher at MLG) when they met. The media never criticized Gilmour, but talked about this great love between these two, disregarding the fact that Gilmour was originally married. Years later, Amy was dumped for a young Russian. Later the young Russian was dumped well for another youngster.

    I don't know if that will be shown in the next part of your list, but for Vancouver, it has to be what happened with Tanner Pearson and the appalling botchjob they made of the surgery for his hand/arm injury about one or two seasons back, While it may not be considered morally bankrupt into how the surgery went, it was the way they dressed it down afterward, and how some of their players even spoke out against it. That really said a lot about how player welfare is sometimes seen so BADLY, especially when you learn of the injuries most were carrying into the playoffs. It's crazy. They should not be allowed to play any games if they're not medically cleared.
    Unfortunately, I think it's affected his career in many ways, and he barely gets a look in in Montreal now.

    Taking a knee during a national anthem is disrespectful and shouldn't be allowed, the only reason people have the chance to play in the NHL/ NFL is because of the country of America and that is given everyone a chance to be equal. A person may not agree with things the very very few say that are racist/out of line, but showing disrespect for an entire country that gave you every chance possible is disgusting.

      One of the main tenets that Americans like to follow is free speech. Taking a knee in support of, or in protest of something, counts as free speech. Not to mention that a national anthem is just a song, you can love your country and not stand for a song

    • @danp2306
      @danp2306 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@ConnorLogan51 LOL! The anthem is honoring the country. Wow, are you American? Sure, suggest that taking a knee is an expression of freedom (it's not free speech; the argument is 'freedom of expression) - but, saying 'it's just a song' - is kind of disingenous). Well, at least, the sports world used to think the song was significant - as they have everyone stand before every game while it plays.

    • @ConnorLogan51
      @ConnorLogan51 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      @@danp2306 but why should everyone be required to honour the country? If the country regularly does things that you don’t agree with, or disrespects your right, why should someone honour it? Whether it’s freedom of speech or expression doesn’t matter, it’s the persons right to express their opinion how they see fit, assuming it doesn’t harm someone. I’m not American, I’m Canadian, but we have the anthem at every sporting event as well

    • @scarbourgeoisie
      @scarbourgeoisie 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      I'm Canadian but I know all the words to the Star Spangled Banner and I think it's a cool Anthem. I sing along to both at sporting events when in attendance. With that said, I have no issue with what Kap did. His protest was valid and I'm bummed that he was cancelled because of it, while a perverted QB who repeatedly exposes himself to women is still in the League. Pathetic.
