I’m so used to it now that it doesn’t take me long to finish it. But it’s interesting because it’s not really hard. It’s just that it’s easy to mess up. You loose track of where you’ve been and you’re wandering aimlessly to find the last few gears. Miss a turn and you crash. Botch a jump and that’s it. It’s only a matter of time until you botch something up and if you don’t have a planned route, it’s harder
For me: 5 - Turtle Soup (Helping suicidal turtles. Also, I don't like having to backtrack, so it's another reason to dislike this one.) 4 - Killing the Draclets in Crystal Glacier (I'm really not a fan of 'do everything perfect 1st try' things.) 3 - Hunter's paragliding (Same reason as nr. 4.) 2 - Pumpkin smashing in Robotica Farms (The supercharge is just so fast with many sharp turns, I can hardly keep up.) 1 - The Alchemist (Seriously, screw this guy.)
Ok but if u beat riptos rage in one slot and get the superflame idk if its with the cheat or what but u can share the superflame with other spyro 2 slots and it makes the alchemist easier cuz u can just kill all the earthy bois
So to everyone who struggled with the spark plug thief in mystic marsh, here's the lazy way: at 6:23 when he jumps to the circle walkway, don't jump after him. Let him land, then glide to the other side of the walkway and creep up behind him. He'll fly back to the top of the spiral and start walking down it. Once he's almost halfway, you can glide over and flame him before he has time to turn around.
With the trolley level, in reignited they made it so when the trolley moves from side to side, it goes slightly backwards to give you an extra second to judge where you’re going
@@JCBro-yg8vd Same, I honestly think that people overrate how bad it is, when it's really not if you take your time and have a little patience. Sure, you're more than likely going to fail your first few times you try it inevitably, but that's purely because you have to learn the layout of the track first. Just because it takes some trial and error doesn't make it that bad
Playing Reignited now, and I still found Crystal Popcorn 2 to be by far the most annoying. Almost everything else can be figured out easily with trial and error to memorize a pattern, but the popcorn always just seems to be super random, even with the steam. Trouble with the Trolley is number 2. I actually didn't have any issues at all with the Alchemist or Earthshaper Headbash challenges, and thought they were pretty easy.
My top 5 5:Theif kangaroos (mystic farm) 4:Torch the spiders (in that snow level with the flight power up) 3:The lizard dragons (molten crator) 2:The bull (metropolis) 1:The Alchemist (dis)honorable mention the suicidal little tortoses who want to jump into the cooking pot and be stew
There is always that one thief kangaroo that that i can't catch. The alchemist escort is just the biggest troll mission. Thanks for checking out my video and i enjoyed reading your top 5 :)
I really do like this level apart from the alchemist, the music is good and it has a fun supercharge challenge. But they had to ruin it with the silly alchemist.
I know I’m late to the party, but when I was doing the alchemist challenge on the Switch version, I accidentally set him off a second time before I got the head bash move. I decided to ignore him and just continued what I was planning to do before. After a while he made it to Hunter by himself. I copied this technique when u did get the head bash move. Just set him off, turn the camera to look inside his house and breathe fire constantly. He’ll make it to Hunter by himself
And it's even more annoying that you have to do it twice if you don't have headbash. I was really hoping the Reignited Trilogy would fix that, but they didn't.
The bug challenge in crystal glacier is the most annoying for me because I'm not swift enough to get them before they respawn. But I also suck at flying for long periods of time lol
Same it's a big reason i don't like the speedway and flight levels. That bug challenge is very hit and miss sometimes i do it first time and other times i am stuck there because one bug Respawns and i can't find him before they all start respawning :D
the trick to that one (i know this is an old comment by now) is to fly through the flight arch and skip the first bug, then begin flaming the second and loop around the end to kill the first. its stupid but it works
My top 10 10.Theives in Mystic marsh 9.Headbashing earthshapers 8.all speedway orbs 7.Hurricos thieves 6.the Ox 5.Agent zero 4.Turtle soup 3.Alchemist 2.Lava lizards Dishounrable mentions:kill the spiders in crystal glacier, pumpkins smash and TROUBLE WITH THE TROLLY EH!!!!!!!!! 1.Crystal popcorn
My top 3 3: Lava lizards II Requires perfect timing and precision 2: Trolley So easy to slip up, and if you slip up, you're done 1: Sparkplug Theives This one thief is next to impossible (I didn't find the alchemist nearly as difficult, and this is from someone who has only played reignited)
The most infamous orb challenges are, without a doubt, the ones from Hunter. I mean, that guy really enjoyed giving us the most difficult challenges that made us think that perhaps he was not at our side. The same happens in "Year of the Dragon", specially the ones with the skate.
Oh Hunter is definitely on the bad side. he keeps the baby dragon eggs until spyro can beat him at skateboarding. and Orbs meanwhile in spyro 2 he does almost nothing to stop Ripto. Moneybags is much more on the good side than Hunter. Sure you have to pay him but he does help and he doesn't slow your progress that much.
Honestly these challenges make me reluctant to ever try playing for 100% ever again. I think it also really highlights how much better the OG Spyro was - yes, some of these challenges were harder, but it also reminds me that I found controlling Spyro much less difficult in things like the flying level.
I do feel like Reignited made some of the more annoying challenges a bit better. Just went through Reignited yesterday and finished up all the achievements I missed. A way to make Bombo really easy is to just take it slow. You get close, he flies away, throws a few bombs, you dodge them, and repeat. Also, think I'm one of the few people who doesn't mind the trolley. As for the alchemist, yeah, definitely the worst. It doesn't even make any sense, either. He could leave his place, take a sharp left, and be right at Hunter with nothing in the way.
Honestly, the only challenge that I find to be truly difficult is the crystal popcorn minigame. I've gotten 100% several times and that's the only mission that occasionally causes me to give up for a while and have to come back to it later because it's so annoying. But I never had problems with the trolley minigame in Breeze Harbor - I don't know how it became a meme. I get being annoyed at the Fracture Hills one though. The backtracking is something they really should have put some kind of measure in to avoid. It was kind of disappointing to see that the reignited trilogy didn't put in a skip button or something for these two-part orb challenges, or some other measure to prevent people from having to do missions a second time if they don't want to.
Screw that damn alchemist and those Earth Shapers. They gave me the most difficulty as I didn't know where the dude was going or when I had to time my charge attack to move the Earth Shapers out of the way.
I went into riptos rage blind as I'd never played the ps1 version so I just killed all thieves and then did the stones and it was the easiest part of that level haha
That's what I was thinking. I never thought to try and replace the lightning stones before catching all the thieves, but I can see how it would make the orb challenge a lot harder/annoying
Yeah, I just started playing Ripto’s Rage yesterday and that Lightning Stones challenge was really fun and easy. I just went back and forth and killed all the thieves and then I put the stones back in the generators (without actually looking at a walkthrough). And also, I’m gonna try to not 100% certain levels until I get the certain abilities I need like climbing or head bashing. Now granted I’m only in the first few levels, but I kinda prefer the challenge based playing VS the collect-a-thon aspect of the first game. I like collecting all the gems and saving the dragons in the first game but the enemies always get me and I end up rage quitting. Whereas the second game (so far), it’s more about puzzles and levels and the lives amount don’t matter as much as in the first game. Anyways, great video!
My top 5 5 - 2nd Hockey Game (especially getting the skill point) - Colossus 4 - Turtle soup - Sunny Beach 3 - Save the cavemen - Skelos Badlands 2 - Guide the Alchemist - Fracture Hills 1 - Crystal Popcorn - Magma Cone
I had trouble with the trolley because I didn't realize that you had to shoot the tnt and jump over the boxes. I was just jumping over all of them and I got really frustrated.
Escorting the alchemist is a perfect example of developers making a challenge unnecessarily more difficult, I just kept thinking to myself "JUST GO TO THE CAVE IT'S RIGHT THERE" specially that annoying thing at the end where he makes it look like he's going to go around the pilar just to quick halfway through and turn the other way she you're busy going after the enemy so you don't realise
During a speedrun, you wouldn't do the alchemist on first fracture hills. You just get the talisman first, then do everything else when you come back. Even without speendrunning, you technically only have to do it once
I never found the trolley, the paragliding or the cristal popcorns to be hard honestly plus the trolley mini game is pretty fun for me so I don't mind losing it. The alchemist can go to hell though.
I mostly agree, as I personally find the crystal popcorn challenge to be pretty hard, with the second part usually taking me at least a few times to complete, but I still think it's fun for the most part. The trolley I've always felt isn't as bad as people tend to make it out to be, as it's all about memorizing the track; because of this, you're going to fail the first few times or so you try it until you learn it, but once you do, it's not that difficult. I personally have never struggled with the paragliding challenge, in fact, it's probably the easiest orb in a speedway to get. But the alchemist I can NOT and WILL NOT defend, it deserves the hate it gets; it's also because of the headbashing earthshaper challenge that comes afterwards that was mentioned why I always hold off on doing the alchemist the first time through, as I don't think it's worth it to go through it twice when you don't have to if you know about it in the first place
Smashing Pumpkins; easy peasy if you practice supercharging even for a minute. Lightning Stones; Annoying how they didn't alarm you in Reignited, I'm with you on that. Fracture Hills (Hunter); this one was actually really easy for me, nothing random about it if you just hang back and pay attention. I expected the supercharge part here. Paragliding; yeah I fail this one consistently each playthrough but I've played both versions and they are equally fuckey.. Sparkplug Thieves; come on mate, the hardest one was the swimming mf, just cut some corners and you'll get the parkour pro one in no time (d-pad guys, it's right there). Crystal Popcorn; deserves to be way higher. That is all. Lava Lizards; Nothing random about it, hang back and you'll figure out soon enough, Crystal Popcorn is waaaay harder than this. Trouble with the Trolley?; oh fuck no, this one. Be prepared to fuck up at least a couple dozen times without prior knowledge. Still a dozen for people with prior knowledge tho. Returning the Flags; Not even remotely hard or annoying. Just some basic orientation and charging through the level. Easy peasy. Deserves to be waaay lower or maybe not even on this list. Alchemist Escort; Yeah. Bro, right on here. What a complete moron for someone who's supposed to be "wordly" on account of being a goddamn alchemist. If only Spyro could kill that guy...
10. Earthshaper bash: This one was pretty annoying for me the same reasons as it was for you. Also for some reason in my game when Hunter shoots the first earthshaper it glitches up and flies across to the other side making me have to go over there. 9. Capture the flags: This one wasn't as hard for me as it was for others, but the fact you have to do it 3 times makes it long and boring 8. Party crashers: I had trouble with this one mostly because flying controls are shit and the camera is shit and I always end up bumping into a wall and falling into lava. 7. Hockey one on one: I hate this one mostly because of the time limit and how slow spyro is when he skates on ice. 6. Grab the loot: Oh god. The fact that Hunter is so slow when flying and how random his turns are and which cats he shoots makes me either go way ahead of him or not able to keep up. And since turning controls are shit when flying, I never seem to get the loot in time. 5. Draclet cave: Those hanging draclets get really on my nerves. I'm unable to flame them before I pass them so I have to keep turning back all the time. It doesn't help that there are so many and they multiply. 4. Gear Grab: It's long, unpredictable, and every time you fail you have to start all over again while hearing "tRoUbLe WiTh ThE tRoLlEy, eH?" 3. Alchemist escort: I HATE YOU FUCKING ALCHEMIST REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 2. Lava lizards: The same reasons. 1. Crystal geysers II: DO I REALLY HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN?
I know this is four years old but this popped up on my recommended and you immediately got a sub with that silly intro! Really good video too, I’m looking forward to watching your other videos!
I hated flying to get the spiders in glacier until I realized I could just turn around and make more efficient time, also still can’t do spark plugs, or hang gliding... been at the trilogy about 25 hrs now tho and almost done with 2, (trying to 100-120% them,) but goddamn I love these games. Such nostalgia, so many memories... so good, love it.
Number 9 I just killed all the dudes first and then put all the lightning balls in place. After you kill one in each area they spawn again. Repeat until they are all wiped out, and then take your sweet time putting the lightning in place.
I’m about platinum Spyro 2 80% so far Back in the Ps1 days I only ever played Spyro 1 and did not get far so this was a fresh trilogy for a hardcore Bandicoot fan
I do feel like there is huge correlation of spyro and crash fans. It will be interesting to see if there is a spyro game next or a crash one. Good luck on getting the platinum
The other day I made a video of a cartoon character playing the game, and when I was at Scorch, I decided to do the flag mission, the first time I retrieved the flag easily, the second time I failed chasing Bomber a bit, but I still got that orb AND 100% on the level, but I'll ALWAYS randomly come back because I LOVE that level SO much (you can check out the video if you want)
I am in the minority of loving the crystal popcorn challenge. I love any of the 1:1 games, like hockey or boxing, and the popcorn. These are mine: 10. Find George the cat - crystal glaciers - it’s easy and a little boring 9. Lava lizards - skelos badlands - it stresses me out! 8. Spark plug thieves - mystic marsh - ugh that one frickin thief!!! 7. Professors pencil - mystic marsh - I kind of hate the hunt and gather missions 6. Agent zero - cloud temples - it’s too easy, tedious and boring 5. Supercharge - fracture hills - it’s so hard for some reason! 4. Romeo & Juliet - zephyr - I don’t know why, I just dislike it 2. Alchemist - fracture hills - who doesn’t hate this one? 1. Cowliks - zephyr - like I said before, I hate hunt and gather. It’s tedious. And I hate the sound they make when you charge/flame them
I have seen a common theme that everyone hates that one spark plug thief :D Blasphemy putting George the cat he is adorable although his head is far too big in reignited. Kidding thank you for watching and for your list i enjoyed reading through it.
I was surprised to see so meny comments about the spark plug thieves!! The hardest one for me was the one who dives. The tree one was really easy, if you get him from the other side, he goes to the bottom of the spiral and runs up, once he jumps on the bottom, you can jump on the top and he will run towards you!
When I was a kid I was scared by these purple creatures on ps1, not to mention that I didn't know English very well (I'm Brazilian) so it made it even scarier for me.
Dear lord, yeah that Lightning Stone orb was stressful as a child. The warning siren and the enemies scared me as a kid and gave me nightmares lol. Probably contributed to my anxiety as an adult 😅😂
Flaming the larva lizards on ps1 took me flipping ages I kept watching the same cave men getting eatten XD. But on this updated version I did it surprising on the first try :D. Plus speedways are a nightmare at times.
Yeah i had the same problem for young me as well. I would run around like a headless chicken. I was never a fan of speedway's Each new game i was hoping they would get rid of them :D
the lightning stone one, if you go back and forth between the two locations and fire all 10 of the purple thieves (the counter is in the bottom right corner), then they dont respawn anymore and you can then put the bulbs in place without any of them stealing the orbs.
The trolley challenge on reignited is hands down easier than the ps1 version. Notice that every time you switch lanes there's a minor delay in the trolleys movement? That wasn't in the original and having it makes the fast switching a little bit easier. Still a fairly difficult challenge, but it is noticeably easier in reignited
That's funny because I actually like it better that they don't drop gems. I grew up on Spyro 2 and just recently played 1 and 3 on PS4 and I was really angry about enemies dropping gems in levels like Enchanted Towers in Spyro 3 because I couldn't complete the level without killing them all
I did consider putting that one. If i had done honorable mentions it would have been there I found it so much easier on reignited, because the turtles are much slower. But it was very hard on ps1.
Bastian Lionheart I literally hate how every time you mess up that beast of a pelican is like “Trouble with the trolley eh?” “Trouble with the trolley eh?” “Trouble with the trolley eh?” I could wring his stupid neck.
The most annoying thing is if you complete the alchemist then return to the level once you learn headbash to complete the hunter challenge, you then need to redo the alchemist challenge. Bain of my life.
It is really silly and could have easily been fixed by just having the alchemist mention that you will need the headbash ability but you can continue if you want to.
I find I get more frustrated with a challenge if it has less to do with Spyro's regular gameplay. I was never bothered by smashing pumpkins because I was used to supercharging from playing a lot, but every time I hit something with a new vehicle or something random like the crystal popcorn, I couldn't help but think, "Why am I doing this again?" Hunter always irritated me with the paragliding, like "You're not afraid of heights, are you?" Like...buddy. I literally just flew here. *You* should be afraid of heights, not me.
I hope to get the medievil remaster at some point. I got to play it and it was fun to play. Did you read my mind about Rayman! because i have the second part of Rayman Redemption demo coming out on thursday. Thanks as well for the kind words.
I can just Remember how frustrating was to see everything complete on the guide but 1 orb in Fracture Hill😂😂😂 at the time I Lost my patience, I permanently was in dragon seashore crying in front of the "100% Door" cuz I couldn't get the permanent Power up😂😂😂😂
Omg, I did the alchemist challenge in one go, but I don't have headbash yet, so I guess I'll be doing that again. I'm having trouble with the crystal popcorn part 2 and the lizards part 2 so far
So uh...When I played Reignited, I hadn't played Spyro at all since I was a VERY young child, and...The Paragliding one I did on my first attempt. Same goes for Trouble with the Trolley. Failed it once intentionally for the PTSD flashback from when I was a dumb kid, did it no problem after that.
Key to the Lightning Stones is you go from end to end luring out all of the thieves first. Then use that beautiful charge to place all of those stones in the slot, fastest way I know to do this and takes under four minutes. Also no Crystal Popcorn challenge in Magma Cone at #1 wow
That sounds like a good plan i might have to try that for next time. It would have been probably number 1 if it was based only on the ps1 version. I feel like it's slightly easier on reignited. But still a pain at times.
Tbh i think that one is the most frustrating one but other shiters are the turtle soup ones in Sunny Beach and the secret agent one when you follow him to his hideout without getting caught!(passed it first time in Reignited but the original one still gets me!)
I remember back on ps1 i could not work out where i was meant to go or hide. I think once you know his pattern it is quite easy which is why i tend to do it first time now. But certainly on ps1 i had a lot of struggles. I do like him as a character though.
Full disclaimer that I never played the originals but I didn't really find Return the Flags that difficult. I just stayed on the high ground and it was pretty easy, only had to redo the first one a few times until I learned to use the high ground and didn't die at all on the 2nd and 3rd ones. That one thief though can go straight to hell. When I played that mission that was the first one I attempted to catch and it took me at least 20 minutes, I was so angry by the time I caught him that I almost wanted to turn the game off, but was dumbfounded by how easy the other three were.
I think the people who played the original (like me) found the reignited version really difficult, because a few minor changes to the size of the bomb and the directions Bombo throws them means you have to COMPLETELY change how you approach the mission. I used to be able to charge the whole way and just dodge around a bit and win no problem. Now the bombs are HUGE and are SO much harder to avoid! It was really hard for me to accept that I had to slow down, stop and carefully dodge every single bomb. It made the whole thing WAY more annoying and tedious
I am surprised i didn't add that one in as well I remember trying to get the trophy for getting them all in one go and it kept bugging out. If i remade this video i would most likely add it in.
For your number 9 pick, I didn't pick up any orbs and put them back. I ran back and forth to each section as the theives would alternate between locations and kill them all, then replaced the orbs. Your don't need to replace orbs along the way. :) I didn't mind the alchemist one but I hated the supercharge in that level. I just hate the supercharge in general!
Don't forget finding all the cows. It was BORING AND ANNOYING. First time as a kid took me forever and ever since then, I have PTSD when playing this game because I wait till the end of the game to beat the level...
Yep and when you think it's done. The same goes oh by the way there are 2 more cows. I do find as well on reignited the cowleks are a bit buggy and get caught on the scenery or steps a lot.
I am almost done with Spyro 2. Only two levels left I think. Two main reasons I prefer Spyro the Dragon. One: I don't like backtracking. I prefer to finish a level and then moving on. Two: So, many, challenges. I just want to run around collecting gems and other stuff. Spyro 1 was not a perfect game, and it had some challenging levels like Treetop, but if I get all Trophies in Spyro 2, I don't think I will do it again. Hope I will like Spyro 3 a bit more than 2.
The alchemist one is hard but in my opinion the super charge mission in fracture hills is harder. Not only are earthshapers are getting in the way in the beginning but along the way if you hit like the top of a door or the side of a wall then you have to walk all the way back to the super charge to try again. It’s not THAT hard granted, but it’s rather one of the more tedious ones
My top 5 worst, in no particular order: Alchemist Trolley Hatching dinosaurs #2 Crystal popcorn #2 And turtle soup #2... tbh I'm surprised this didnt make the list. In the ps1 version the controls are really bad, and missing a turtle by even an inch when you go to charge them results in enough lost time that you inevitably lose. It's the only orb challenge I have to retry as many times as the trolley!
No Agent Zero? :P Oh geesh, HATE that one. It was one of my last orbs obtained in my first playthrough of the PS1 version. Then in Reignited, they changed the pattern so you actually have to go behind the tree closest to him-- the exact opposite of what you think would make sense. Trolley is still difficult- especially since if you jump at certain points to avoid obstacles, you miss gears, so you have to go through the track again. Bomber man, actually, was easier in Reignited AFTER figuring out you need to take the slow/steady approach. Paraguilding, I think was harder in Reignited. Maybe cuz the rings are harder to see. But I think the pattern is slightly different and the turn to go from left to right is much tighter.
I quite like agent Zero as a character. I remember back on ps1 i could not work out where i was meant to go or hide. I didn't actually realise his pattern had changed. I think i always used to go to the closest tree even though it looks like he should be able to see you he somehow doesn't
4:55 personally I hated the hunter hunts the robbers objective in metro speedway objective more than this one, but I didn’t try it on the reignited trilogy so I guess I can’t speak for the trilogy
My god, I don't know what the fuck they did with the paragliding mission. I could do it first time without any effort in the original and in Reignited I just can't fucking do it for the life of me. You might argue its a good thing? Because its more of a challenge? Doesn't change the fact that its annoying AF. The same goes with the trolley. Easy in original, hard in reignited.
Number 2 Trouble with trolly is real hell.. it’s like they change the physical rules every time you start again.. i just had to see if it was on this list and it was 😅
I beat Returning the Flags my 1st try cuz I just took my time while moving sideways from the blasts. But I friggin' hate Alchemist Escort for the reasons you gave.
Now, I haven;t played the Reignited Trilogy, but I've been replaying the originals this week and last, and I got through the trolley mission in one try. I still failed once on the popcorn challenge's second part, and there seemed to be a glitch where one of those guys in Hurricos didn't want to appear, so I left the challenge and returned, and that took almost ten minutes.
Damn that must have been annoying. I can only guess that it glitched out and he got stuck somewhere. The popcorn challenge can be 50/50 for me sometimes hunter is almost unstoppable and other times he is an idiot.
The Lightning Stone challenge is quicker if you just go back and forth between the two areas without putting in any stones til you've cleared them all out. They do spawn in if you go far enough away. :) Also, the fact that you can't do part 2 of the Fracture Hills thing is why I tend not to do the Alchemist challenge til I can headbash. If you know it's coming, you know not to bother. :D Lava Lizards is MUCH easier on Reignited (or I've just gotten better in the years between playing it and the original game...). The Flagkeeper challenge can be done if you go slow, stopping and starting, there's no time limit so you can deal with a few of the bombs at once and make him back all the way up (and the reason the name was changed? A guy in a Middle Eastern inspired level and dress with bombs...) And no mention for the Draclets in Reignited? Not that the challenge is difficult - it's just it has a tendency to bug out (pun not intended) when you first come across it and spawns one of the first draclets you'd usually come across... at the top of the skybox. I'm not kidding, it'll be stuck in the air and even with the Flight power-up it's impossible to get up there and you need to either leave and re-enter the game or go elsewhere via the Guidebook and return (one of these two) to fix it so the draclet will spawn on the ground instead. So yeah, having to re-do half a level stage to get an orb challenge to work properly throws it up there for me. :P
Mine are 1: Monkeys In A Barrel (Scorch) Requires Focus And Protecting That Cheta That Stole A Buncha Orbs 2: Kangaroo Things (Mystic Marsh) They Run So Fast, It DOES Have The Same Basic Idea As Lamp Thefs In Shady Ouasus, But The Thefs In Shady Are More Easy To Try And Snag There Lifes From, Those Kangaroos Are More Faster And Clever Than The Thefs In Shady. 3: Hockey (Colossus) I HATE SPORTS 4: Turtle Soup (part 2 spifificly (Sunny Beach)) I can only focus on one thing at a time because I have autistme, and this mission requires you to focus on EVERYTHING ON THE SCREEN, I was forced to do this mission when I wanted a lot of gems and the last ones in Sunny Beach where only accessible through SAVING TURTLES WHO TRY TO COMMIT SUICIDE. 5: Dino City Save (Scolos Badlands) CAN ONLY FOCUS ON ONE THING AT A TIME 6: Spider Things (Crystal Glaisler) I hate respawning enemies as WELL as time limits in the video game, this mission CONBINES those 2 things! 7: Trolley (Breeze Harbor) Guess Why 😑 8: Alcimist (Fracture Hills) I hate it so much in my new video where I do the harder orb missions, I'll glitch myself into Dragon Shores and get infinite flame breath early BEFORE going for the alcimist quest! 9: Lava Monsters (Magma Cone) I tried to get all gems in this level, but when trying to get to the super fly, I accidentally atavated the mission, now they where everywhere getting in my way even though I didn't care about them at the time I just wanted gems 10: Saving Hippo's Siblings (Shady Ouasus) The thefs aren't why Shady is bad, the BACKTRACK mission you need the HEADBASH for is, I can only focus on one thing at a time, and this makes me have to focus on moltable things at once, THAT on top of a time limit for the powerup for invincibility! 11: Agent Zero (Cloud Temples) I HATE STEALTH MISSIONS, when I was collecting gems for fun and saw that some where missing in the Cloudsdale Magic Kingdom, I skipped them because I KNEW they where the ones behind the doors that ONLY open if you ativate the Agent Zero mission, besides, I got that orb already, and I was NOT doing that again just for sparkling rocks that a Bear Mr Krabs snags from you 12: Scarecrow Bugs (Robotica Farms) I HATE REPAWNING ENEMIES 13: Ox (Metropolis) I HATE MINI BOSSES
Wow thank you for taking your time to make a list. for number 3 the true form of hockey is cat hockey ;) Although animal cruelty is really bad :( Really enjoyed looking through your list and there is plenty of interesting choices
#5 was hard in the PS1 version but easy as hell and i mean EASY in the reignited one. and I gotta say in Spyro 2, Trouble with the Trolley is still #1 for me. I never want to play it again.
Trouble with the trolley eh? ;) Also i agree they must have realised some of the challenges were far too hard on ps1. So they had to make some changes.
Oh god, I’m 120% completing spyro reignited and well I just remembered “trouble with the trolly, EH” I have beat it once and I mean it’s not that hard once you get the felling, but well the first 50 times and internet searches DIDNT HELP
Yeah once you have a path and work out the controls of the trolley it is not too bad. But it takes a while to get used to it. Plus hearing, trouble with trolley over and over adds to the frustration :D
@@ClassicGamerX11 YES FORSURE, also I’m surprised you didn’t add thos bugs in icy glacier or whatever where you had to flay and shoot the green bugs in the ice cave
I don’t recall having to replay the alchemist. Hunter was stuck in the rock but I was able to talk to him and it just took the rocks away then moved on to the second half.
“Trouble with the trolley, eh?” Those words still haunt me til this day
I will take those to the grave
Omg, I was playing that level today and I was so mad when the pelican kept saying that. I swore at it every time I failed X(
I had to do it so often, that I'm a God in this mission now, but back then it brought my inner demons out. It was my no. 1 rage challenge 😅
Trouble with the trolley eh
I tried to hard to skip that stupid pelican 😂😂
For me:
5 - Turtle Soup (Helping suicidal turtles. Also, I don't like having to backtrack, so it's another reason to dislike this one.)
4 - Killing the Draclets in Crystal Glacier (I'm really not a fan of 'do everything perfect 1st try' things.)
3 - Hunter's paragliding (Same reason as nr. 4.)
2 - Pumpkin smashing in Robotica Farms (The supercharge is just so fast with many sharp turns, I can hardly keep up.)
1 - The Alchemist (Seriously, screw this guy.)
ESC Stroopwafel the alchemist is pure 100% hell
Ok but if u beat riptos rage in one slot and get the superflame idk if its with the cheat or what but u can share the superflame with other spyro 2 slots and it makes the alchemist easier cuz u can just kill all the earthy bois
The draclets is the last orb I need and I CANT DO IT
I remember when I was struggling with the draclets and then noticed the number was going down... Hellllll no 😭
i think i’m the only person who thinks the alchemist one is easy 😅
So to everyone who struggled with the spark plug thief in mystic marsh, here's the lazy way: at 6:23 when he jumps to the circle walkway, don't jump after him. Let him land, then glide to the other side of the walkway and creep up behind him. He'll fly back to the top of the spiral and start walking down it. Once he's almost halfway, you can glide over and flame him before he has time to turn around.
That’s the only way I was about to do it after trying other ways for days.
With the trolley level, in reignited they made it so when the trolley moves from side to side, it goes slightly backwards to give you an extra second to judge where you’re going
Nice i did feel like it was different but i couldn't put my finger on why i was finding it easier.
Honestly, the trolly never gave me *THAT* much trouble even as a kid. It's all about memorization.
Trouble with the trolley, eh?
Those words will be forever engraved in my mind and I kinda love it because of nostalgia 😄
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬😂

*TROUBLE WITH THE TROLLEY, EH?!*
My top 5
5:Theif kangaroos (mystic farm)
4:Torch the spiders (in that snow level with the flight power up)
3:The lizard dragons (molten crator)
2:The bull (metropolis)
1:The Alchemist
(dis)honorable mention
the suicidal little tortoses who want to jump into the cooking pot and be stew
There is always that one thief kangaroo that that i can't catch.
The alchemist escort is just the biggest troll mission.
Thanks for checking out my video and i enjoyed reading your top 5 :)
It's Mystic MARSH not Mystic FARM
The alcamist challenge in fracture hill is a pain he goes toward a then. Spoils my favourate level
I really do like this level apart from the alchemist, the music is good and it has a fun supercharge challenge.
But they had to ruin it with the silly alchemist.
Yeah, I'm more mad at the alchemist than Hunter is. Luckily when you 100% the game and replay it you can just kill the earthshapers with fireballs
Love bagpipe music .
That bug challenge is very hit and miss sometimes i do it first time and other times i am stuck there because one bug
Respawns and i can't find him before they all start respawning :D
the trick to that one (i know this is an old comment by now) is to fly through the flight arch and skip the first bug, then begin flaming the second and loop around the end to kill the first. its stupid but it works

This one thief is next to impossible
(I didn't find the alchemist nearly as difficult, and this is from someone who has only played reignited)
The alchemist part has been made a bit easier on reignited.
I think they had to really. Because it was so hard on the original.
Nah Hunter is just a competitive loon.
@@jake90009he’s just a thorn on Spyro’s side
Honestly these challenges make me reluctant to ever try playing for 100% ever again. I think it also really highlights how much better the OG Spyro was - yes, some of these challenges were harder, but it also reminds me that I found controlling Spyro much less difficult in things like the flying level.
The kangaroo challenge in mystic marsh is the worst!
I was incredibly frustrated with it. Gosh
I can't believe this one didn't make it
@@liamwilliams6651 except it did?
I do feel like Reignited made some of the more annoying challenges a bit better. Just went through Reignited yesterday and finished up all the achievements I missed. A way to make Bombo really easy is to just take it slow. You get close, he flies away, throws a few bombs, you dodge them, and repeat. Also, think I'm one of the few people who doesn't mind the trolley. As for the alchemist, yeah, definitely the worst. It doesn't even make any sense, either. He could leave his place, take a sharp left, and be right at Hunter with nothing in the way.
"Will you escort me past those Earthshapers?"
Me: "Will you grow a brain?"
Your #1 didnt surprise me and I totally agree with it! Great Top 10 as always 😁
I really don't like fracture hills haha
Glad you enjoyed it.
most people did think it would be trouble with the trolley
I rewatch these often. I just love Spyro
That’s awesome. Spyro is such a great series. Hoping there is some new spyro news soon. 😃
Screw that damn alchemist and those Earth Shapers. They gave me the most difficulty as I didn't know where the dude was going or when I had to time my charge attack to move the Earth Shapers out of the way.
Lightning stones is easy if u catch the thieves first like I did
I will have to give that a go next time. I just usually find it very time consuming
Wait didnt everyone do that? dont the electric troll things tell you to do that?

5 - 2nd Hockey Game (especially getting the skill point) - Colossus
4 - Turtle soup - Sunny Beach
3 - Save the cavemen - Skelos Badlands
2 - Guide the Alchemist - Fracture Hills

That might have given me an idea actually.
I Could do a list on the hardest skill points.
Sometimes the hockey one can just be luck
@@ClassicGamerX11 Let's do it
I had trouble with the trolley because I didn't realize that you had to shoot the tnt and jump over the boxes.
Mystic marsh. "I spent 2 hours in a maze with snail elephants looking for a pencil!" I love spyros bad day
Kezza goes in the nest.
I remember that one being so confusing when i was young. Mostly because i couldn't tell what spyro was picking up.
The amount of times I heard those words “trouble with the trolley eh” knocks me sick😂😭😭
It can't be just me that anytime i get a supermarket trolley. In my head i am thinking trouble with the trolley eh. 😂
ClassicGamerX11 yeah literally😭
The hurricos one is super ez, all you have to do is to kill those purple guys first and then do this electric orb thing
Your number 9 is easy, you kill the 10 thives first then when they are gone you put the orbs back 👌😊
It is a straight forward challenge i just find it really tedious and long. Although maybe i have been doing it a slower way.
This video triggered me, omg I made my dad play those levels for me
Quite often if i got stuck in a game my older brother would help me.
SAME
Personally, i find the Crystal Popcorn challenges in Magma Cones to be the toughest and most annoying orb challenge
Crystal popcorn does seem to a popular choice for the most annoying orb challenge.
Well that maybe should be un popular due to how tough it is.
Here is my top 10
10. Draclet Cave (Crystal Glacier)
9. Capture The Flags (Scorch)
8. Clear The Tractor Path (Robotica Farms)
7. Lava Lizards 2 (Skelos Badlands)
6. Turtle Soup 2 (Sunny Beach)
5. Agent Zero’s Secret Hideout (Cloud Temples)
4. Catch The Thieves (Hurricos)
3. Crystal Geysers 2 (Magma Cone)
2. Ride The Trolley (Breeze Harbor)
1. Alchemist Escort (Fracture Hills)
That is a Very solid list.
If i did honorable mentions for this list i would have had turtle soup And draclet cave.
10. Earthshaper bash: This one was pretty annoying for me the same reasons as it was for you. Also for some reason in my game when Hunter shoots the first earthshaper it glitches up and flies across to the other side making me have to go over there.
9. Capture the flags: This one wasn't as hard for me as it was for others, but the fact you have to do it 3 times makes it long and boring
4. Gear Grab: It's long, unpredictable, and every time you fail you have to start all over again while hearing "tRoUbLe WiTh ThE tRoLlEy, eH?"
3. Alchemist escort: I HATE YOU FUCKING ALCHEMIST REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thank you so much haha, i am currently working on a spyro video. I still can't believe i did that intro for this video
Nothing in Spyro 2 is too overly hard, hardest thing i'd say is the speedways
Number 9 I just killed all the dudes first and then put all the lightning balls in place. After you kill one in each area they spawn again. Repeat until they are all wiped out, and then take your sweet time putting the lightning in place.
I’m about platinum Spyro 2 80% so far
Back in the Ps1 days I only ever played Spyro 1 and did not get far so this was a fresh trilogy for a hardcore Bandicoot fan
I do feel like there is huge correlation of spyro and crash fans.
It will be interesting to see if there is a spyro game next or a crash one.
Good luck on getting the platinum
Returning the flags is so easy, I dont know what you're all about
I started taking it slowly and haven't had any problems finishing it first try since
The other day I made a video of a cartoon character playing the game, and when I was at Scorch, I decided to do the flag mission, the first time I retrieved the flag easily, the second time I failed chasing Bomber a bit, but I still got that orb AND 100% on the level, but I'll ALWAYS randomly come back because I LOVE that level SO much (you can check out the video if you want)
I am in the minority of loving the crystal popcorn challenge. I love any of the 1:1 games, like hockey or boxing, and the popcorn.
These are mine:
10. Find George the cat - crystal glaciers - it’s easy and a little boring
9. Lava lizards - skelos badlands - it stresses me out!
8. Spark plug thieves - mystic marsh - ugh that one frickin thief!!!
7. Professors pencil - mystic marsh - I kind of hate the hunt and gather missions
6. Agent zero - cloud temples - it’s too easy, tedious and boring
5. Supercharge - fracture hills - it’s so hard for some reason!
4. Romeo & Juliet - zephyr - I don’t know why, I just dislike it
2. Alchemist - fracture hills - who doesn’t hate this one?
1. Cowliks - zephyr - like I said before, I hate hunt and gather. It’s tedious. And I hate the sound they make when you charge/flame them
I have seen a common theme that everyone hates that one spark plug thief :D
Blasphemy putting George the cat he is adorable although his head is far too big in reignited.
Kidding thank you for watching and for your list i enjoyed reading through it.
ClassicGamerX11 George is adorable! I just want him to do more 😊
I loved the pencil one!!
I was surprised to see so meny comments about the spark plug thieves!! The hardest one for me was the one who dives. The tree one was really easy, if you get him from the other side, he goes to the bottom of the spiral and runs up, once he jumps on the bottom, you can jump on the top and he will run towards you!
I found the one that dives not too bad as he loses a lot of time when he dives into the water hole.
Which allows you a good opportunity to flame him.
When I was a kid I was scared by these purple creatures on ps1, not to mention that I didn't know English very well (I'm Brazilian) so it made it even scarier for me.
They are very creepy, especially when they just stand there and laugh at you, plus the way they run around so quickly.
@@ClassicGamerX11 sure
Dear lord, yeah that Lightning Stone orb was stressful as a child. The warning siren and the enemies scared me as a kid and gave me nightmares lol. Probably contributed to my anxiety as an adult 😅😂
Personally, I'll take trial and error over struggling with controls.
This is the first time watching your videos and all I hear is Nigel Thornberry and I love it lol 😂
Oh Smashing 😂
the lightning stone one, if you go back and forth between the two locations and fire all 10 of the purple thieves (the counter is in the bottom right corner), then they dont respawn anymore and you can then put the bulbs in place without any of them stealing the orbs.
IMO Spyro 2 was the worst anyway, they changed alot of things, it especially frustrated me that enemies didnt drop gems :/
That is a big reason Spyro 1 is my favourite.
Although i do love all 3 games.
That's funny because I actually like it better that they don't drop gems. I grew up on Spyro 2 and just recently played 1 and 3 on PS4 and I was really angry about enemies dropping gems in levels like Enchanted Towers in Spyro 3 because I couldn't complete the level without killing them all
Number 9 and trouble with the trolley are my fave challenges
I did consider putting that one.
If i had done honorable mentions it would have been there
I found it so much easier on reignited, because the turtles are much slower.
This video spoke to me on a spiritual level.
Good video. Love Spyro so much. I used to play it from very little. Upload some Medievil and Rayman, Sam.😁
I hope to get the medievil remaster at some point. I got to play it and it was fun to play.
Did you read my mind about Rayman! because i have the second part of Rayman Redemption demo coming out on thursday. Thanks as well for the kind words.
Surprised the Cowlet mission wasn’t here, moving those bastards are so finicky…
I don't mind that one. Sometimes it can be a pain in the neck to get them across the gap where Romeo is.

-AntDude, 2018
Antdude is awesome, i watched a lot of his videos.
And i totally agree.
The flags DESERVE n 1 spot just for the amazing idea to make it an achievement doing those without ever getting hit by those evil tracking bombs!
I can just Remember how frustrating was to see everything complete on the guide but 1 orb in Fracture Hill😂😂😂 at the time I Lost my patience, I permanently was in dragon seashore crying in front of the "100% Door" cuz I couldn't get the permanent Power up😂😂😂😂
Amazing! Sorry I was late tho but dropped a like :D
Don't worry about being late. Thanks for leaving the like.
It's always there to watch the start if you want.
No argument on your number 1 pick. Tho this is a rare instance where I actually accomplished the number 1 pick on one of these lists.
Outstanding Great Stories Sam
Omg, I did the alchemist challenge in one go, but I don't have headbash yet, so I guess I'll be doing that again.
I'm having trouble with the crystal popcorn part 2 and the lizards part 2 so far
The lizard challenge has a pattern to it. Once you know the patterns in both parts, that challenge gets really easy.
Chasing that kangaroo in Spyro Reignited was a living nightmare
He's a thief and he's stolen the spark plug.
Now you have to run around for 30 minutes endlessly chasing him :D
Pro tip for Hurricos: flame/charge all the thieves first, they won't respawn. After that, you're free to light the sources!
Clearly you're a beginner Spyro player, or in the timing you made this. The lava lizard eggs hatch in the same order each time
So uh...When I played Reignited, I hadn't played Spyro at all since I was a VERY young child, and...The Paragliding one I did on my first attempt.
Not the spiders flying challenge? I mean mine was bugged so I had much harder time than most I suppose, but my god it has burned itself into my mind
I am surprised i didn't add that one in as well
I remember trying to get the trophy for getting them all in one go and it kept bugging out.
If i remade this video i would most likely add it in.
For your number 9 pick, I didn't pick up any orbs and put them back. I ran back and forth to each section as the theives would alternate between locations and kill them all, then replaced the orbs. Your don't need to replace orbs along the way. :)
I didn't mind the alchemist one but I hated the supercharge in that level. I just hate the supercharge in general!
Anything that has to do with Hunter is inherently annoying. Especially in a lot of Spyro 3 levels
Damn right. It's no coincidence that all his challenges are annoying
And overall he is a pretty annoying character.
@@ClassicGamerX11 That is number one on my list!
Yes the alchemist is horrible and I hate it, but I am somehow WORSE at Crystal Popcorn. Bane of my existence.
And after all that the popcorn isn't even tasty because it's made of crystal.
@@ClassicGamerX11 didn't even bother slapping some butter on at least! The nerve.

I can see that. Sometimes the earthshapers will just wander right onto the middle of the path.
That one's especially tough once you realize the skill point for the level is doing three laps of it.
My top 5 worst, in no particular order:
Alchemist
Trolley
Hatching dinosaurs #2
Crystal popcorn #2
And turtle soup #2... tbh I'm surprised this didnt make the list.
I have to say the Crystal Popcorn is my favourite orb challenge in Spyro 2.
4:55 personally I hated the hunter hunts the robbers objective in metro speedway objective more than this one, but I didn’t try it on the reignited trilogy so I guess I can’t speak for the trilogy
They made it quite a bit easier on reignited trilogy, the controls are much easier to aim with, at least that is my experience.
Number 2 Trouble with trolly is real hell.. it’s like they change the physical rules every time you start again.. i just had to see if it was on this list and it was 😅
Trouble with the trolley eh? ;)
I beat Returning the Flags my 1st try cuz I just took my time while moving sideways from the blasts.
But I friggin' hate Alchemist Escort for the reasons you gave.
This video definitely gives me anxiety!
Alchemist: "Will you help me get past those earthshapers?"
Spyro: "Will you kiss my cloaca?"
The Lightning Stone challenge is quicker if you just go back and forth between the two areas without putting in any stones til you've cleared them all out. They do spawn in if you go far enough away. :)
Also, the fact that you can't do part 2 of the Fracture Hills thing is why I tend not to do the Alchemist challenge til I can headbash. If you know it's coming, you know not to bother. :D
Lava Lizards is MUCH easier on Reignited (or I've just gotten better in the years between playing it and the original game...).
The Flagkeeper challenge can be done if you go slow, stopping and starting, there's no time limit so you can deal with a few of the bombs at once and make him back all the way up (and the reason the name was changed? A guy in a Middle Eastern inspired level and dress with bombs...)
And no mention for the Draclets in Reignited? Not that the challenge is difficult - it's just it has a tendency to bug out (pun not intended) when you first come across it and spawns one of the first draclets you'd usually come across... at the top of the skybox. I'm not kidding, it'll be stuck in the air and even with the Flight power-up it's impossible to get up there and you need to either leave and re-enter the game or go elsewhere via the Guidebook and return (one of these two) to fix it so the draclet will spawn on the ground instead. So yeah, having to re-do half a level stage to get an orb challenge to work properly throws it up there for me. :P
Oh my gosh I love Crystal Popcorn! It’s so much fun
Mine are
1: Monkeys In A Barrel (Scorch)
Requires Focus And Protecting That Cheta That Stole A Buncha Orbs
2: Kangaroo Things (Mystic Marsh)
They Run So Fast, It DOES Have The Same Basic Idea As Lamp Thefs In Shady Ouasus, But The Thefs In Shady Are More Easy To Try And Snag There Lifes From, Those Kangaroos Are More Faster And Clever Than The Thefs In Shady.
3: Hockey (Colossus)
I HATE SPORTS
4: Turtle Soup (part 2 spifificly (Sunny Beach))
I can only focus on one thing at a time because I have autistme, and this mission requires you to focus on EVERYTHING ON THE SCREEN, I was forced to do this mission when I wanted a lot of gems and the last ones in Sunny Beach where only accessible through SAVING TURTLES WHO TRY TO COMMIT SUICIDE.
5: Dino City Save (Scolos Badlands)
CAN ONLY FOCUS ON ONE THING AT A TIME
6: Spider Things (Crystal Glaisler)
I hate respawning enemies as WELL as time limits in the video game, this mission CONBINES those 2 things!
7: Trolley (Breeze Harbor)
Guess Why 😑
8: Alcimist (Fracture Hills)
I hate it so much in my new video where I do the harder orb missions, I'll glitch myself into Dragon Shores and get infinite flame breath early BEFORE going for the alcimist quest!
9: Lava Monsters (Magma Cone)
I tried to get all gems in this level, but when trying to get to the super fly, I accidentally atavated the mission, now they where everywhere getting in my way even though I didn't care about them at the time I just wanted gems
10: Saving Hippo's Siblings (Shady Ouasus)
The thefs aren't why Shady is bad, the BACKTRACK mission you need the HEADBASH for is, I can only focus on one thing at a time, and this makes me have to focus on moltable things at once, THAT on top of a time limit for the powerup for invincibility!
11: Agent Zero (Cloud Temples)
I HATE STEALTH MISSIONS, when I was collecting gems for fun and saw that some where missing in the Cloudsdale Magic Kingdom, I skipped them because I KNEW they where the ones behind the doors that ONLY open if you ativate the Agent Zero mission, besides, I got that orb already, and I was NOT doing that again just for sparkling rocks that a Bear Mr Krabs snags from you
12: Scarecrow Bugs (Robotica Farms)
I HATE REPAWNING ENEMIES
13: Ox (Metropolis)
I HATE MINI BOSSES
Wow thank you for taking your time to make a list.
for number 3 the true form of hockey is cat hockey ;) Although animal cruelty is really bad :(
Really enjoyed looking through your list and there is plenty of interesting choices
Spyro is for everyone
I have been through ICE!
I have been through the OCEAN!
I have spent 2 hours in a maze with Snail Elephants LOOKING FOR A PENCIL!
ClassicGamerX11 I wish they realized how hard Boxing Yeti was inSpyro 3 because it is just as hard in the new one
@@ClassicGamerX11 I DID IT FINALLY 2 time
I don’t recall having to replay the alchemist. Hunter was stuck in the rock but I was able to talk to him and it just took the rocks away then moved on to the second half.
Maybe they have changed it for reignited. I never actually have tried it because i always wait until i have headbash before doing the first part.
Spark plug thieves is my number 1 by far for the same reason...that one damn kangaroo lol then would be the alchemist
I was there for about an hour chasing that Kangaroo
I bet him and the alchemist are friends
@@ClassicGamerX11 haha besties. I quit and came back to it so many damn times, that and the bloody Bentley egg in spyro 3 for whack a mole.
trouble with the trolly eh gives me ptsd bc i remember it from childhood AND now
Crystal Popcorn #1 for me, I also couldn't find the entrance as a child
Bringing back the flags was OK. Until I had to redo it for a trophy... Without taking damage
