    • @Michael_Tran

      I haven't seen any infos on if you can camp on the trail. The one time I did go on that trail, I didn't see any sign of disperse camping, but I didn't research whether it's ok or not. I know theres BLM towards the north of that trail that maybe you can camp on.

    Hello and Thanks for your info. What would you suggest for a 2 wheel drive van disbursed camping ?

    • @Michael_Tran

      I suggest Holcomb valley in big bear but check the location forest station since there's a fire going on there right now.

    Thanks for the video, it brings back some memories. I have done Trona Pinnacles trail a while ago, I liked it a lot. The landscape is surreal. This place is where they filmed the movie "Planet of the Apes" Right? After i watched the movie, i did some research and i checked this place out. it is so spectacular !!!
    I done many trails in So Cal & Nor Cal but a lot more in Colorado. But i decided to stop off-roading while i am still alive though.
    Thanks

    • @Michael_Tran
      @Michael_Tran  ปีที่แล้ว

      SoCal definitely has some historical off roading and filming history for sure. Trona is pretty surreal landscape but Colorado has some awesome trails as well

    Thinking about camping in the big bear area for the first time. Hoping for a yellow post site but if they are all taken can you pretty much camp anywhere off trails as long as there’s enough space to pull over and set up?

    • @Michael_Tran
      @Michael_Tran  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes...there's a few general rules like away from water not sure exactly the ft...also not to make another camping spot. generally it's recommend to camp on a spot already used but you can look up on the forest service website directly.

      Most of those areas I did in 2wd but a lot of it is just common sense when we go overlanding in a 2wd. There's so much easy trail to overland in SoCal...honestly don't need a really expensive rig to go explore IMO

  • @mraleksk1

    It is nice to show the areas that everyone knows already. Can you be a bit more specific about specific trails and campgrounds, pleas? Because that is the most important part. Yes, I know Big Bear area, Lake Tahoe area, and many others. The specifics what counts. Othe than that, the video is total bullshit...

    The only thing I don't like about all these "free" camping sites is that they are sometimes TOO desolate, especially as a female solo traveler & also, mostly dirt roads.
