Northeast is culturally, historically, ethnically different from other parts of India and that is why we face racism when it comes to education, work etc…in the main land India and I’m telling you it’s really bad...every one from northeast have faced racism in one form or another be it students, politicians or even the chief justice but the government of India is trying it’s best to remove these differences people are being aware of this region now. It’s the stereotype that they have, we ain’t immigrants but our territory became part of Indian territory in late 20th century with various complications some states in Northeast doesn’t consider itself to be part of Indian territory but an independent country hence the terror moreover China claims for some regions in Northeast like Arunachal Pradesh to be their territory as the line that divides the two nations was made by a Britisher called Sir Henry MacMohan which in itself is a big controversy. I’ll suggest you to check the Indian map.
