Perfectly put 🙌🏿. We so easily forget that the Mass is the sacrifice of Calvary. Silliness like this from those on the altar, doesn't help remind us at all.
The irony is that it's in a church with one of the most beautiful altars deserving of a reverent traditional mass.

You shouldn't. You either should stop this madness, or stay until the end of the mass. We should emulate our Lady, Saint John and Mary Magdalene. They never abandoned our Lord in his passion, and They stood still at the foot of the cross, when the Pharisees commemorated the death of our Lord.
But, yes our Lord would understand, as He did with the other apostles, who fled when He got caught.
@@giovanniconesamonaco5556 I think that might be a false comparison based on our viewpoints. I don't see this as a valid sacrifice of the mass, therefore I wouldn't be abandoning anyone. That's my take.
I go to church to participate in the sacrifice of the mass, not watch a dance show.
As to stopping the madness, how would you propose one does that? Yell out, "stop this madness"?

@@hosatk The borderline is whether you consider the Paul VI's Mass a valid Mass. If you do, as horrendous as this one is, it's still the sacrifice of our Lord, and you should not walk way. If not, you can just walk way, and that's fine. I hate Paul VI's Mass, as much as one can, but I'm not sure about if is a legit form of Mass or not. I'm nowhere near being a canon expert, on the contrary, I'm as dumb and ignorant as one can be, regarding canon law. But I'd rather make a mistake of staying in a false Mass, than walking way from the sacrifice of our Lord.
As for stoping the madness. I don't know, you could do as you reckon is right. I'm just saying that, that is a take I could see as valid, to do something about it, raise up and say "enough" for example.
And if you don't considere the Paul VI's mass a legit mass. Why would say "Jesus understands", as if you're doing something wrong, for the "right reasons"?
@@giovanniconesamonaco5556 I suppose, and this was my assumed action, that I would leave that mass to go to another mass, not leave the mass altogether.
I grew in NO, so I can't say I dislike it. Honestly until I was in my 40's I thought mass was always like that. I have vague memories of my dad talking about being a server & masses in Latin, but I didn't know that was all there was.
I simply think that dancing around & doing homosexual pride acts & praying to pagan deities in our Catholic Church is NOT what God intends, it is an abomination & an affront to our Lord. Why would I participate in that?
I'm most definitely not an expert in anything Catholic. The more I learn about my faith the more I realize how bad my catechism was.

Nothing wrong dancing in church bldg during mass.
Dancing is an act of worship. Go thru the bible and discover that dancing clapping leaping shouting to God in adoration are all act of worship.
David even took off his kingly robe and clad only in his linen epod, dance in worship unshamelessly unto God infront of all the people when the ark of covenant was restored to Jerusalem.
God is not dead. Jesus has risen from the grave! He is risen! He is alive!, now seated at the right hand of the Father interceeding for us.
We should be celebrating during church gathering because He is alive!
The true church of God is not in a religious org or denomination.
The true church of God are people who belived and trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. Its a personal relationanship with Jesus Christ, not affiliation in a religious group.
His invitation is open to ALL who believe that He is the Son of God sent down to suffer and die on the cross and rose again victoriously, triumphing over all his enemy and ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. And if you confess Jesus Christ as Lord you will be saved.

@@johpayalla6811 Not disagreeing with you... but it doesn't come across as worship. It looks like a pop song with dance moves.
Some places are quiet spaces & more formal so it comes across as out of sync with that space & that service.
No problem with spontaneous singing & dancing, but neither is there anything wrong with a place of quiet contemplation & quiet prayer which many find healing.
There is room for all forms of worship & it's good to be aware of the different needs & likes/dislikes of those around us.

God sees more the condition of the heart.
Even in a quiet or solemn or formal atmosphere if the heart is not worshipping, then its not.
God is more interested in the worshipping condition of the heart rather than out of an outward solemnity, thou there are moments for it.
Church activities must be moved and guided by the Holy Spirit supposedly, so we cannot limit what God wants to be done in a congregation, be it joyfull, quite, solemn, sober, formal, it should be according to the move of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is given to those who ask and desire to be Spirit led. But formost, must be a person who has surrendered entire life to His Lorship and control. He will not despise.
Much of what we do in the chirch traditional way are just that, traditions.
But God's ways on how we must worship Him must be in spirit and in truth, as Jesus told the Samaritan woman, because God is a Spirit.
So our Spirits must worship God with our Spirit in truth. Now rhe truth is Jesus Himself as He said that "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me".
I suggest you read the bible, start in the new testament. Its all written there. God bless!

My heart is free to worship both ways.
This particular video clip doesn't come across as worship - it is a rehoused routine of steps to a particular song. That is theatre & not spontaneous worship to God.
You're speaking of spontaneous worshio as moved by the Holy Spirit.
I understand the Catholic view that this event may not be best placed during what catholics see as a reverent service.
If we had seen a spontaneous shiw of joy - unrehearsed & that affected the congregation too, then I think that would be very a very different situation & also accepted as being a response to the Holy Spirit.
This is like when our Lord drove the money changers out of the temple, they were turning the Lord's house into a market place, these are turning it into a dance studio. God please forgive us who love you!

In India, I have seen nuns dance in the church with Indian oil lamps in indian dance style. I am sure God wants us to dance before him.
I GUARANTEE if you ask those senior adult members why they are clapping along, they will tell you "well, it's the young people. We need to do whatever we can to involve them." That has been the seeker sensitive world invading the church movement for the past 30 years. Look where it has landed us.

@@MrKev1664 I agree 100%! I converted to Catholicism as an adult a few years ago after being a Protestant Charasmatic for years. So I guess dancing and clapping in church are not foreign to me. I am truly sorry if anyone is offended. Before becoming a charismatic, I was Southern Baptist, and we would have NEVER done that! And my father was a Baptist preacher!! In case you're wondering, I am 78. My 95 year old husband followed me 3 years later. We love our Church! Dancing or not! ☺️😉🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️

I am Catholic.
In fact I would consider myself traditional.
I go to the Tridentine Mass regularly.
I think that the Mass is an inappropriate time for this type of worship as it is Christ sacrifice to his Father for our sins but we must not forget that there are other forms of worship that please God. (Psalm 149:3-4)
We should not mock or heap scorn on them bit show them what the appropriate time is.

Sadly, just about every adult in the congregation was clapping, I noticed one man in the back right that wasn't, and going along with the irreverence.

I agree, the Latin Mass is great! Because the Latin Mass IS the TRUE Mass of the Catholic faith...
BUT... we can't just bring back the Latin Mass, and think its all gonna be fine... It won't be. What must happen, is to
BRING BACK the traditional Catholic teachings and adhere to them, as done for nearly 2000 years. The Latin Mass is part of the historical teachings and Church, so come with it.
Because the real issue is, that we don't even have real Catholicism anymore. But, that's like the "elephant in the room" that few will dare to talk about. Instead, many people just say "bring back the Latin Mass".
And again, in the same way that the Latin Mass IS the true Mass of Catholicism, ....Only the Traditional Catholic teachings IS what makes up true Catholicism.
BUT, the Novus Ordo church, has neither of these. And that essentially means, that the Novus Ordo church, is no longer Catholicism, but instead, is a new religion.
I know this is hard to hear, and many who oppose this, have worked tirelessly on good sounding excuses why this isnt the case.. Never the less, even a lay person can see this is the truth, if they take the effort to look onto it, and honestly research it. And while its hard to hear, and even harder to say to other Catholics, IMO it's a matter of eternal salvation, and it MUST be said.
May Almighty God guide us wisely through these confusing and misleading times.... May He Bless Us, and keep us, in His loving, protecting grace.

I live in Austria, and I had to look this up. So, apparently this is a church in the conservative (!) Catholic county of Tirol. Funny thing is: here in Vienna, it is the Latin Mass that is packed every time, while the novus ordo masses are happy when they have 10 people attending on Sunday.

You cannot compare , mass is a sacrifice, the lamb of God, Jesus is being sacrifice for our sins and at the mass the priest take all our sins to the altar and are payed with the price of the slaughter of the Lamb, Jesus for Catholics, and it's a very solemn moment, And then we are partakers of that lamb and we eat His flesh and drink His blood so we will enter the kingdom, Jesus words not mine.

There's a parish in my diocese that tried to introduce praise music but these parishes in MS. are full of cradle Catholics who moved here from Louisiana. They weren't having it...at all. (thanks be to God) And it was nowhere NEAR as bad as this video. I too, would march out of that disgrace.

This is exactly why the Novus Ordo Church is dying and can't attract young people. And is why the Traditional Latin Mass is growing so much especially among the young. The only hope is a complete return to tradition.

I think what's also so disturbing is the Priest is in his vestments and the altar servers dressed. It's almost like a mockery because this in no way resembles any form of worship.

@Rachel James It hasnt been a year. Mass was restored on May 10 2021. Our last Mass was Christmas Day 2020 . The churches were open for Confession and private prayer. Our unelected Gov need a lot of prayer. They allowed the Muslims worship in their mosques and the Guards were never called. Yet when Rosary Rallies took place the mafia would show up to disperse the praying group. Ireland has gone to the dogs. Seriously.
Back in the 1990's I saw a story from Russia, in which a same sex "marriage" was performed in a Russian Orthodox church. The local bishop ordered the church bulldozed.

@Joseph Fossa King David danced before the Ark in the street, not at the altar. Besides, he was not a priest. There is no record of high priests dancing in the temple in the holy of holies, which would be the equivalent of Catholic priests dancing before the altar in a church.
Dancing before the altar is absolutely not an old Catholic tradition. I have already given one reason why it's not valid to compare it to David dancing before the Ark. The second reason is that not everything in the Old Testament was carried over into the New Testament. With the coming of Jesus Christ, the true Messiah, the Old Covenant was superceded by the New Covenant. Many practices from the OT were abandoned and new ones took their place.
So even if there had been 'dancing before the altar' in the Old Covenant (which there was not), that would not be any reason for doing so in the New Covenant.
The altar is to be honored and the tabernacle should be given the due respect.
That these people have access to a wonderful altar, probably consecrated with First-Class relics, gives me cause to weep in my heart. Pax Christi -

No one gets to dance whenever they want.
You have to have God tell you when to dance and Sacred Tradition and Scripture tells you that or you're a protestantt.
1.) It's not allowed in the temple.
2.) It's not allowed during mass because it's a reflection and reminder of Golgotha.
3.) Jesus' blood was shed at Golgotha and there is the Real Presence in the mass.
4.) Mother Mary's heart was pierced at Golgotha and here some are being dense and basically sayinng come dance with me Mother Mary.
Ecclesiastes backs up what St. Paul said in Sacred Scripture when he said let everything be done in decency and in order as Ecclesiastes says there's a time to mourn and a time to dance and they don't mix.

Not to mention David dancing before the ark was probably due to an expression of overwhelming love and fear of God. That appears to not be the case here. The priest and altar girls are dancing a dance Frontline workers dance to draw attention to themselves. Aren't the hospitals supposed to be full? Why do they make these videos? It's also unbecoming for a priest to be dancing in general, much less with altar girls.

However, in the Roman church, dancing in the liturgy is forbidden in western churches because in western cultures dance has connotations that are incompatible with the sacredness of liturgy. Further, I would say that this particular dance is conducted with choreography and music that are antithetical to liturgy.

Mass was over. I’m not sure there was even a mass beforehand. They are not on the tabernacle (would break) or on the altar. They were in the aisle. They were clearly in costume not priest requires 9 altar servers. Looks more like some special event the way they are dressed.
