But how do I attach it to the suction part? Do I need some kind of adapter? I have a bestway Pro Max steel pool

I have the same pool . You have to remove the cover from the lower side adapter with a screw . The blue adapter you can put on it attach the hose on it and it must working....

I’m not sure how to get that filter cover off. Was trying to just twist it off-but doesn’t seem to want to come off.. any suggestions.Thank You

What about the other suction port though? Will still suck debris in as there is no skimmer on that one.

Same question. I imagine the dual suction will still work? One going into the skimmer and suction to the other.

I had to plug the other one so I could get the proper suction

@@rickhouk8345 I figured it out for me I had extra pieces from my last pump. The skimmer comes with that one flow reduction white nipple piece that goes in the second intake and the skimmer goes onto the other. It works perfect on 1000gph pump. But I needed the base of the strainer cap for both. The white nipple gets the strainer cap. One came from my old pump. Otherwise you have to plug the one. The skimmer doesn't come with its own base. It assumes you already have it like most pools come with. But it assumes we have only the two in and out

The skimmer is not necessary, it is for solid particles and leafes

What size intex pool is this? So the best way skimmer has the small hose attachment to go on the threads of the smaller size strainer once removed?
