Hello everyone, I'm Akshay from the Praesidus Watch Co. A big THANKS to Richard for such a detailed and insightful review of our watch. We loved hearing your thoughts on our recently launched DD-45 and D-day watches. ❤❤❤ If any of you viewers have questions about the watch, features mentioned in the review, or anything else about Praesidus, feel free to leave a comment below and we'll be happy to answer them.
Love a vintage inspired field watch. I've owned a Smiths PRS-29a since 2018. It's an incredibly close recreation of the Smiths W10 with an ETA 2801. They cost around £500. I've put it through hell and it's been great. If you believe the Internet Smiths are impossible to get hold of, but I've bought several on their website now with no issues at all. I loved mine so much I pretty much stopped wearing my Oyster Perpetual, and I sold my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical.
These are nice. But the DD-45 is pricey for what you get. For that price you can probably get a real vintage. For the Tom Rice, I don't understand why they used an NH35 which has a date complication. That means there's a ghost position. Would have been better if they used the NH38. The case size is also not accurate. Baltany offers better value.

Very nice video on a topic I'm quite interested in. Thank you. My $.02 is I prefer a more traditional, smaller watch, say, 36mm. All the best.
Think I'll stick with the Vertex
audio not well synchronised to images...

My only query on these great watches is the hands of the DD-45 ... are they too clunky? I would say so...
It's a shame a good company like this has non existent customer service .
Fun fact-it comes from the same "stable" that makes Filippo Loreti watches, lol
Really? How can you tell?
