They can't animated suicide scene but if you check at the detail when she dance there is a reflection of herself on the water but when she do a backflips there is no reflection mean she jump out the building and suicide
I have theory that Aira is Acrobatic Silky daughter reincarnated, Ik that we don't know if that girl is dead or alive but the fact that Aira can see Acrobatic Silky at young age and called a stranger are mother is a hint but after all it just theory so not sure
I’m a little disappointed. At the fact that they didn’t show the prostitution and suicide clearly. Of course, these are very delicate topics that are not suited for 13 year olds or any around that age and I liked how it was subtly hinted at, but part of me is a little sad. Great episode nonetheless and props to Science Saru and the animators behind it that clearly put their passion into this.
Remember, this is shown in TV in japan and kids would definitely see this. They can't really show those kinds of sensitive topics to the younger audience. I'm still satisfied on how SS handles the censorships.
They dont show explicit but Prostitution and the suicide is showed in a sutil clever way and in a symbolic yet powerful way too, instead of being faithfull they have creativity and added new scenes for more impact and emotions for the moment, you can analize and understand later the prostitution part and the final scene were she jump with the light effect, the sutil change of the building, the momeries is were you can imagen the suicide and if you pay attention you can heard the collision, they made the scene different yet same impact and power if not better and more powerful, this is the little times were creativity and freedom of creativity liberty on an adaptation is better than the source material and i fucking hate were the change or censoring thing lol
