My brother has been playing superhot vr since it came out. He got shot at but he stopped moving before the bullet hit him. He’s really competitive when it comes to video games and he hates losing, so he refuses to move. He’s been in the exact same position for 8 years, somebody help me

A little note: chronos does not allow to see future. It slows time perception so much that you can think through millions of options and choose best one. Because of this main hero says "this could work" at the end of every level, since he thinks how he could beat everyone and after that stick to that path. Thats also explains why makn character get boomed with trap by Vi, since he didn't think of such possibility
I think tahts wrong,the way chronos work is that it allows the user to see the future but in reality theyre just standing still.Zero's just choosing a possibility,which is why a battle between Chronos user is a battle between theiur own will

Even in last battle between mc and that chronos girl (can't remember her name) both of them initially thought that they killed each other with first attack. But funny thing arrives. Since mc can think through all of her attacks he wil act in one way Because of that she will keep in mind that he knows her next move and will use it in her conclusion for best possibility in fight But he knows she knows that he knows and so on and on and on. The only difference that allow mc win is the fact that he is gamma type of zero and actually get syringe of chronos before fight, while that girl running out of chronos supplies so she cant think through all possibilities like main character

There was a guy with blue hair, idr his name, and he says he is going to a date after killing him, then kills Zero, return back in time and talk about his date, or what about the guy who was druged so he stays suffering for all eternity since he is constantly going back in time even tho for Zero he died only once?

I like Cyber Hook's use of it. using bullet time gives your grapple more reach, but the clock goes on at usual speed. So when you use bullet time to make more precise grapples or to correct a mistake, you lose time in exchange for being able to reach further to potentially saving a run. It gives using it a risk, meaning you'll only want to bullet time when things get BAD, as you're losing precious seconds each time you use it
I think transistor is probably one of the games with this I've enjoyed the most. Especially the ending, where you become a lot more aware of how you're moving throughout the game, just makes it that much more scary to realize how you've been treading the world
Superhot vr is a masterpiece. Like actually, it alone is justification to get a vr headset. The game isn't graphics intensive or anything, you can run it on just about any headset. It's just SO GOOD. It's FANTASTIC. It sold me on vr as a platform.
Ngl one the oldest uses of bullet time goes back to the NFS mw 2005 and man was it GOOD. Like the moment you slow the time to see the cops crash into a big donut or ramming into road blocks and seeing the cops fly around.. It just felt good
The one that I always loved was Killing Floor bullet time, because you don't choose when it activates. You'll just be mowing zombies down and then it'll get all slow motion when you get a bunch of kills at once. It is just very cinematic and I love it.
I remember Killing Floor 2 did Bullet time but they called it Zed time and it always random, sometimes it just activated when there no enemy around bc ur explosive just blow up one

On of my favorite moments playing superhot was figuring out towards the end that by doing multiple actions at once you can save (in game) time. And then applying that to every fight I was in from then on.
Have ya heard of Double Action Boogaloo, it’s a multiplayer game we’re you gotta kill each other, but everyone in the game can slow down time whenever they want. It’s great fun with friends
I think a great hidden gem that uses bullet time in a "different" way is Cyber Hook. Very simple (and cheap) game, title is already quite explicative: it's a level based speedrun game with a hook. Basically, you can use bullet time very often, but while it's active the level timer keeps going at normal speed, so you're actually trying to use it as little as possible to optimise your run while reaching very high speed, requiring great reflexes and level memory, while also playing with the hook physics. I never see this game recommended, yet it's really fun and not too long, with also the possibility to play and create custom levels. Definitely give it a try if you like this kind of games.
Stranglehold was my first Bullet Time game and I only ever played the demo, really loved it back then but haven't given another game of the genre a try since. Looks like this was my sign thanks for the great content man!
I had a wonky controller I bought at a swap meet that had me moving imperceptively slightly making me never to be able to go into slow-mo in super hot. For the life of me I couldn't figure it out so I just beat the game in real time and let me tell you something... So fucking hard but I did it. Shotguns are your friend and you always have to keep moving
there is this battle royale game called "Cuisine Royale" and there is a character whose ability is slow motion. and it is the bost broken thing ever because it works on desyncing with the server which leads to situations where you can peak->shoot->go behind cover and the enemy wont even see you.

Have you heard of trepang2? In that game you got 2 main abilities. Invisibility and focus. With the Invisibility and focus they both have a cool down and work for a set amount of time. The Invisibility you get forced out if you shoot throw grenades or do anything but move and have to wait until the bar fills up to use it again. With focus it's a bullet time that you can Toggle. There is still a cool down but it doesn't fully reset. The game is super fast pased like severed steel but in smaller areas
i think my two faviorite stoery aspect of katana zero are the main characters relationship to the child and two the HORRIFYING IDEA of the chronos withdrawal symtoms where when you die time just stops and you end up in pain forever
What you said about not using bullet time applies to every game you mentioned though It's like a secret hard mode for when you get good and want an extra challenge

While it feels good to trigger it, as it’s tied to actions such as killing many enemies simultaneously or headshot kills, many times you’ll find yourself in bullet time after you’ve just finished off the last zed in a group. All classes have a skill at max level that interacts with zed time, and the commando class can even extend it by simply racking up kills while it’s up. However its occasionally awkward and unclear trigger conditions can make it seem more like it was tacked on.
I feel like not enough people remember WET. Mechanically it was pretty similar to Max Payne, but they also added slide and wallrun bullet-time, and a a katana for good measure. It was pretty fun. There's also deadeye/concentration in Red Dead Redemption and Call of Juarez Gunslinger. And I've heard things about severed steel.
A nice older game that feature time manipulation is Timeshift. Not as good as many of these games, but adds the extra abilities of being ability todecide between reversing, slowing and stopping time for everyone else around you
A game that does bullet time really well based off of purely enjoyment is Cyberpunk 2077, the sandevistan and kerenzikov both feel incredibly good to use based almost entirely just on the visual affects and sound design of their activation
A pretty small and simple game called Kill the Crows also has bullet time and everything is a one hit kill. Game can get very very hectic as enemies keep coming at you. The game offers different passives & different versions of your version of bullet time too which is pretty sick. You’ll slowly unlock more stuff as you get farther and do more cool shit with each run of the game.
It was such a pleasant surprise to find out that I have the same laptop as you and the next second, it was such an awful realization that you actually called my PC "boring as hell"

It's more like knife time, and Sakura uses it mainly for platforming, I didn't find it specially fun

If ya want a cool bullet time game, Trepang 2 is definitely one of my top indie games I've ever played.
