    Thank you Bob so much for all of your informing videos. I am looking forward to building this kit. I am the blind gentleman that has so far built the Grandhauler, the Knight Hauler and the Ford Aerow Max. This kit sounds like this would be a challenge for me.

    GREAT BUILD!! I appreciate the way you only touch on the important parts of each step! Some people may enjoy watching someone screw in 1000 screws to form a single part, but I find that incredibly boring. Keep up the great work!!

    A great job Bob, as always, looks like an ideal candidate for some Hydraulic rams, the horizontal underlift extension, the boom lift and the crane slide out..
    Also are, or can the winches be powered, that is an obvious thing to need.. Hope so.. I'm a great fan of tamiya and have trucks and trailers to prove it, great engineering and details... Although the steering can always be improved.
    Look forward to your continuing series with great interest.. Well done

    For the snap rings I use a small amount of grease to hold them in place so they don't go flying and get lost.

    You need the 'Dynamite E-Clip Tool'... They're all over eBay, good for 1.5mm to 5mm. No more flying clips!

      Yea I was also wondering why it was so expensive, especially compared ro the other semi trucks. And arpund 7 times the price of my only recent Tamiya kit, the Buggyra Semi race truck that was far more plastic than I was used to with my normal TLR, Tekno, Kyosho etc kits I run, but it was well under 200.00 including the cheap esc/motor so you cant expect much haha. This kit looks far better and far more beefy. I think Ill have to add it along with the Knight Hauler...

    This became QUITE a project!!!! 😲
    Watching this over, now with very fluid assets, makes me realize WHY this Kit costs SO much Money. There's a lot to it, very complex, possibly the Heaviest Rig Tamiya has ever made.
    ..... And all those NICE, Machined, Anodized Aluminum Parts! 😊
    I just wish I wanted a Heavy Tow Truck....
    I like the 4 Axle Dump Truck you just got in. I'd like it even more if I could "Americanize" it a bit - with a Globe Liner Cab and different Tanks. 😉

    I've got mine, I'm a recovery driver and I'm quite disappointed that with all the detail they can't make the boom deploy by radio control, also I've watched another build and wish I hadn't rushed into it, the guy uses a Lesu kit to move the boom up and down rather than the Tamiya one, looks much better. Also is there a way of locking the spectacle lift in place, as a recovery driver would never drive with it dropped over like that

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No way of locking the spectacle but there is enough material on the bearing block to drill through and add a body clip. Good suggestion I will do that.
