Maaaaan that’s so dope to hear him say he and Nas back on 100! Those are 2 of my favorite artists. But you can tell by the way Mega said it that it’s a brotherhood waaaaay beyond rap music 💯
They talking about Nas doesn’t speak to the younger generation and that he’s talking to dudes around their age, but I’m a young dude myself and is part of this generation, born in 1999 to be exact, and when I listen to Nas, I picture Nas actually spitting gems to me in person as a young homie listening to a OG. Especially since I’m an aspiring lyricist who loves hip hop in general I look for artists like Nas & Jay for influence and inspiration, even Cole & Kendrick. I don’t listen to none of these mumble rappers that’s being hyped 24/7 because I don’t find any inspiration from it and it’s all repetitive and no originality and no creativity in it. When I listen to music, mainly rap I like to listen to words being presented because I like to have a picture in my mind of what the artist is talking about , which is why I like storytelling and I think Nas excels in that, which is why “It Was Written” is my fave Nas album because of it.
I disagree. I think what he’s trying to say is if some company is getting big and they’re getting more visits than a landmark. Something can happen that exposes the integrity of the hot business and it could go from number 1 to extinct. But a landmark is always going to be a huge piece of history that has an effect on the society and world to this day. Even if people aren’t visiting that landmark or don’t know about it; it still exists in their culture.

Love when he said we back to 💯 because I've been a Nas fan since One on One off the Street Fighter soundtrack I've been saying he's the best for over 25 yrs & when I first started hearing Cormega on the Dj Clues Doo Woop Tony Touch Stretch & Armstrong mix tape days he was dope to me the Firm records with Mega I was fan but when their beef started & both of them was moving & carrying it with some petty bs I was in a bond. Hated the beef I couldn't bare to listen to them taking shots at each other & as a fan I hated how we lost the chance to hear some incredible music from these legends although we had to endure almost two decades of them not recording together I'm good with that knowing they have their brother hood back the music is cool but I'm more happy with knowing these two Kings have a brotherhood again that's more important than the music.

Nas has surpassed anything he did back in the day in terms of his skills. I saw him perform with DJ Green Lantern in Germany in 2014. He rhymed flawlessly. 30 years ago, I was in college when cats were talking about this dude on campus! Nas was already famous in Rochester, New York due to the Live at the BBQ verse in 91. Let's not even mention the legendary status of Illmatic and his subsequent classics. As of today, Nas has adapted well to the so called new style of rap.
