What's crazy is you can put these 4 in any order and we can't be mad about it. He made 4 classics so good that it's hard to make a list lol. I ranked Magic last though for me because of how short it was and the lack of promotion. Seemed like a appetizer. Also didn't have choruses or features so that is where I deducted points. I atleast like a couple nice choruses or heavy samples in the hook to break things up. But that's just personal preference. The beats and Rhymes are top notch though

Another well reasoned and measured analysis. I can't say enough about how much brothers like you are appreciated for your work & insight.
As for this album (and the run Nas has been on) I am mostly in agreement with your thoughts. He seems to have found the perfect formula for engaging production, sharp & quick witted lyricism, keeping his message real or uplifting & still having that unique Nas "flavor" to it all, across these four projects. I absolutely went crazy when I heard that sample on Legit lol. Lupe Fiasco has been one of my favorite MCs for a good while now & I can seriously tell why he looks up to an artist like Nas after hearing these albums. Nas has became a diamond sharpening swords as he has gotten older & it's such a great thing for the culture as a whole. Peace Justin & much love to ya.

I'm gonna express myself. Happy to be part of the analysts. KD3 is the best for me. It takes me back to, It was Written. NAS was in his bag then. Post Illmatic, it felt like he was writing Revelations. KD3 feels like some post Revelations anthology. Hitboy cooked!@ Personally this is the AOTY. That's just my background and growing up on Nas. Kendrick and Black Thought cooked this year. But Nas had me with the mean face the whole time. Its a perfect album and I'm happy I waited this long to bump it and experience it. MC Serch just dropped some gems on Math Hoffa's Podcast about that ownership for "Dead Presidents" everyone should check out. It definitely takes the sting out of that Jay-Z line. Jay paid Zomba for Serch and Serch also negotiated 50% ownership of the song for Nas. Basically Nas owns 50% of Dead Presidents.

Also I interpreted Nas reflecting on his beef with Hov and this album run as him still competing with Hov in a friendlier way even now. Everyone and there mama talking about Hov's verse this year and got him in their GOAT conversation while Nas got sidelined for a while. When Nas said he was in rare form on KD2, I believed him. My personal 🐐 had me stank facing at work and I had chill before I got in trouble. Far as where I rank his work with Hit-Boy, I'm leaning more towards your list the more I listen to KD3.
First time I heard Nas was It Ain't Hard To Tell. I was a more of a clay boy back then. Our class song was I Can and listening back to that song today at work conjured up memories of high school.
