I agree with the 2nd guest, Wes has a very respectful way about him...I really appreciate that about him and how he doesn't interrupt, asks pertinent, not idiotic, questions. Never thought I'd ever listen to anything sasquatch when after watching a show about them when I was a little girl, my brother jumped out at me from behind a chair in the dark with my moms fur coat on, scaring the ever loving crap out of me and destroying my nerves for life, but here I am!!🤷😁

When Fox mentioned "Piney Ridge Rooters" that was the first time I've heard that phrase since childhood. I was raised for the most part of my life within walking distance of the Ogeechee River, in fact it flows under I-16 now just west of the Old River Road exit. My cousins and Uncles used to hunt those pigs with white pitbulls and a white mule. They used the tail hairs of the mule to stitch the dogs up when they would get the business end of the tusks...I could hardly wait to hear the stories and see the hogs they brought home. Those are some of the most vicious animals to hunt that I know of. Thanks Fox for the memories !!!

harvesting, or in your words killing, animals for food is not irresponsible… Pretending like you can get every bit of protein you ever needed from plants alone (unless you want to spend every waking hour, and way more money than any average citizen can spend,) buying OR Growing and harvesting your own plant protein… that sir, is irresponsible… I am an absolute animal lover… Support just about every animal foundation on the earth financially and otherwise… But I'm not under the misconception that I can grow organically everything I need without considerable expense and time… If we do not harvest animals for food, the bottom line is they will starve to death and suffer immensely… Perhaps you would prefer that? There's a lot more that goes into it than just eating "plants" For protein and to suggest otherwise, Is ignorance at its best… A balanced diet is what it's about… Our species did not evolve, and our brains grow to the extent that they have, by eating plants ONLY!
I am also, not suggesting that we only eat meat… It is a balanced approach that is healthy… It is harvesting animals in a humane and responsible way, which I agree is not always the case... you won't get an argument from me there… we need to do better...But we can only be responsible for ourselves and the responsibility rests with all of us To take care of our planet, the animals that populate It, and human beings that need to take careful aapproach in sustaining the same.

It's been a long road & these stories can be therapeutic, this I know personally & since, COVID it's affected us each differently but, finding this channel kinda saved me from a bad patch I was goin' through this past year or, so with all that is changing in our world around us all.. & I thank ya Wes for continuing with the program. I believe what I am hearing recounted from most these encounters.. some may be fibbing or, embellish a bit but, for the most part the sense I get is that what many of these people is seeing is real & they need a place to vent their experiences free of ridicule & being ostracized.
Keep it up buddy, we appreciate it more than you know!

Great job explaining it and makes me feel like I was in their shoes. You're cousin encountered something I think only happens when they encounter a sasquatch or bigfoot and it's not a fear it's a deep deep deep primal fear that I don't think can even be defined or description.

May be a dogman with the horse, most stories of sasquatch actually rip limbs from the deer elk ripping off heads in most stories regarding sasquatch. Slashes tend to be associated with dogman type creatures, that is what I've learned listening to thousands of stories of people's encounters.

As a born and raised Alaskan native, I got to call out Johnathan as dishonest. At first I was wondering if he was talking about hauling water from Caswell, then I'm wondering what village only has 100 people and cars? Lmao! But by the time he claims we got grizzly bears stalking the kids on a playground and that bears don't run away and the rest of the BS I knew he was lying.
I don't think this guy has even been in Alaska. Whackadoo for sure!
The only animal that doesn't run away is moose, but that's typically only when they're stressed for food and snow gets to deep

Speaking of this podcast, though, every night when I go make my tea (and work on dishes), I will put on one of these in the background to listen to. I have quite the long backlog. I'm not a "true believer" in all of it especially the more supernatural/paranormal side of Bigfoot, but I do believe he must exist in some form, and I believe that people believe in their experiences. Pretty fascinating, either way.

I was deer hunting in Arkansas in 1996 up around Hope. Was sitting under a tree on a electric line cut. I saw a large animal on two legs move across the electric line clearing. It was easy at least 7 feet tall. It was about 175 yards aways only saw it for about 5 seconds. I immediately got up and went back to the hunting cabin. Never been hunting again in arkansas. I dont talk about it with anyone.

Because episode two seems to be about Les Stroud and his brother (Woody) and in listening to many of SC podcast, including the 500th episode where Les Stroud is featured… In his intro, Wes speaks as if he is not a family member… Can anyone clarify that for me? And also, the brother that Led refers to is "Woody" and I believe on episode two… I may be just confused but would appreciate any clarification… This guy(Wes) is one hell of an interviewer and I am professionally trained as one, and he truly knocks it out of the ballpark… Every time!

WTF, over? why no such effort? Have you all hear of the gallileo project? why nothing similar happening on these spots?
