    Thanks for showing several examples on curved seams as well as non-repeating patterns. Seeing how the fashion fabric starts flat compared to how it turns out when the project is done is super helpful to me

    Pattern matching can be so elegant! I always hesitate because I figure if I don't try I can't fail. And I wonder how much extra material I will need.

      Give it a go!
      It does vary depending on the pattern, but in general I find I need two to three times as much fabric as I would if not pattern matching.

    I’ve only recently found your videos but I’m learning so much! I actually have that koi fish fabric in green and I really want to make it into a jacket so the pattern matching is going to be such a help for me. I still haven’t made a corset or stays yet but your videos have been so informative on the making that I’m eager to get some coutil as soon as I can!
